The Creation That Was Excluded From The Ark!
'The Creation That Was Excluded From The Ark.'
Genesis 7:21.
a) And all flesh died that moved on the Earth,
b) Birds, livestock, beasts, all swarming creatures that swarm on the Earth,
c) And all mankind.
(This QT reminds me of the fate of The Creation That Was Excluded From The Ark)
PRAY: To be included in God's Kingdom.
------------------------------
'The Fate Of The Old World.'
2 Peter 3:6.
a) And that by means of these
b) The World that then existed
c) Was deluged with water and perished.
(Through this Second one I find The Fate Of The Old World)
PRAY: For a good understanding of God's Word.
-------------------------------
Chris.
A very important question for us to ask ourselves is: Am I in God's Kingdom? The only way into this Kingdom is through knowing Jesus Christ personally as our Saviour and Lord. We are encouraged in the Bible to believe in Him and to receive Him personally as our Lord and Saviour. PICTURE: Even the most beautiful things on the Earth will not last forever!

They Were Not Drunk!
'They Were Not Drunk.'
Acts 2:15.
a) These people are not drunk
b) As you suppose.
c) It's only nine in the morning.
(This QT reminds me that They Were Not Drunk)
PRAY: To accept the genuine manifestations of the Holy Spirit.
-------------------------
'We Are Not Of The Night.'
1 Thessalonians 5:7.
a) Those who sleep,
b) Sleep at night.
c) And those who get drunk,
d) Are drunk at night.
(Through this Second one I proclaim that We Are Not Of The Night)
PRAY: To not be people of the night.
--------------------------
Chris.
In the incident that took place, recorded here in the Book of Acts, the general public thought that the Christians were drunk. This kind of manifestation had never been seen before. The Apostles had to explain that they were not drunk but that it was a manifestation of the Holy Spirit! it would be good today if the Church can also briefly explain to the congregation, especially on Sundays, what is actually going on in the services! PICTURE: A true fellowship meal!

No Rebellion And Stubbornness Please!
'No Rebellion And Stubbornness Please.'
1 Samuel 15:23.
a) For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,
b) And presumption is as iniquity and idolatry.
c) Because you have rejected the Word of the Lord,
d) He also rejected you from being king.
(This QT reminds me: No Rebellion And Stubbornness Please)
PRAY: Not to be rebellious or stubborn.
------------------------
'This Is Dangerous.'
Jeremiah 44:16.
a) As for the word you have spoken to us
b) In the Name of the Lord,
c) We will not listen to you.
(Through this Second one I understand that This Is Dangerous)
PRAY: That we will listen to what is spoken to us In The Name Of The Lord.
------------------------
Chris.
If the Christian family or Church is functioning in the Lord's Grace and Way then there should be no room for rebellion or stubbornness within that family or Church. Any rebellion, presumption or stubbornness should be rejected and the right way be taught. How can children know the right way if they are not taught by their parents and family?

Amazingly Deep Waters!
'Amazingly Deep Waters.'
Genesis 7:20.
a) The waters prevailed
b) Above the mountains,
c) Covering them fifteen cubits deep.
(This QT reminds me that they were Amazingly Deep Waters)
PRAY: To believe God's Miraculous acts.
-----------------------
'Only In The Lord Our God.'
Jeremiah 3:23.
a) Truly, in vain is Salvation hoped for from the hills,
b) And from the multitude of mountains,
c) Truly, in the Lord our God
d) Is the Salvation of Israel.
(Through this Second one I understand that Salvation is only in the Lord our God)
PRAY: To believe in the Lord's Gift of Salvation.
-----------------------
Chris.
Believing in miracles is not something that comes naturally to people! God reveals His Miracles to His People and then gives them Faith to Believe in those Miracles. Right from the beginning of Old Testament days God has been doing miracles. We should Believe Him in what He does.

Listen Carefully To Explanations!
'Listen Carefully To Explanations.'
Acts 2:14.
a) But Peter,
b) Taking his stand with the eleven,
c) Raised his voice and declared to them:
d) "Men of Judaea and all who dwell in Jerusalem,
e) "Let this be known to you and give heed to my words.
(This QT reminds me to Listen Carefully To Explanations)
PRAY: To be a good listener.
-------------------
'If We Know What Is Right.'
Isaiah 51:7.
a) Hear me,
b) You who know what is right,
c) You people who have taken my instruction to heart:
d) Do not fear the reproach of mere mortals
e) Or be terrified by their insults.
(Through this Second one I can find the correct responses If I Know What Is Right)
PRAY: To continually know what is right.
-------------------
Chris.
We need to be as good at listening as we are at talking. Some people pretend to listen but they do not listen at all, they are simply waiting to speak. This is an incorrect way to behave. It is important for us all to learn to be good listeners. We can be far more effective at helping to people if we listen to them well.

Should We Be Persuaded?
'Should We Be Persuaded?'
Judges 19:7.
a) And when the man got up to go,
b) His father-in-law persuaded him,
c) So he stayed there that night.
(Through this QT I ask myself the question: "Should I be persuaded?")
PRAY: To discern every situation well.
------------------
'Our Boast.'
Psalm 44:8.
a) In God
b) We make our boast
c) All day long,
d) And we will Praise Your Name forever.
(This Second one reveals our focus of Boast)
PRAY: To make our boast in God alone.
------------------
Chris.
We are faced with a multitude of decisions and situations every day. It may seem that the busier we are, the more the need for making decisions comes pouring into our lives. That is surely a pressure that no-one likes to bear. God sends us His Holy Spirit as our Helper and one of the ways in which He helps us is as our Guide, making our decisions a whole lot easier.

The Waters Prevailed So Mightily!
'The Waters Prevailed So Mightily.'
Genesis 7:19.
a) The waters prevailed so mightily on the Earth
b) That all the high mountains
c) Under the whole heaven
d) Were covered.
(This QT teaches me that the flood Waters Prevailed So Mightily)
PRAY: To believe God's Word in its entirety.
----------------
'Mere Wishful Thinking.'
Luke 16:30-31.
a) The tormented one said: "No, father Abraham,
b) But if someone goes to them from the dead,
c) They will repent."
d) Abraham said to him: "If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets,
e) "Neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead."
(Through this Second one I find an example of Mere Wishful Thinking)
PRAY: Not to be deceived by Mere Wishful Thinking'.
----------------
Chris.
There are times in which we need to pray for Faith, praying to believe God's Word. The Bible its self tells us that Faith comes as we receive the Word of God, this is very true. We need, however to apply that Word into our lives and experiences so that we can have living and real Faith. A good place to start is praying to believe God's Word for ourselves.

They Mocked God's People!
'They Mocked God's People.'
Acts 2:13.
a) Others mocking said:
b) "These men
c) "Are full of new wine."
(This QT shows me that They Mocked God's People.)
PRAY: For God's People who may be facing some form of persecution.
---------------
'A Word Of Caution.'
Proverbs 17:5.
a) He who mocks the poor
b) Taunts his Maker;
c) He who rejoices at calamity
d) Will not go unpunished.
(Through this Second one I heed A Word Of Caution)
PRAY: That we will have the correct attitude towards poverty and calamity.
---------------
Chris.
One of the most important prayers that can be said in the Church Prayer Meeting is the prayer for the persecuted people and Churches. Persecution takes many different forms, coming from individuals and going up even as far as Nations. Wherever it comes from, persecution is never a joyful experience, it can sometimes even make the persecuted people quite damaged and bitter. Let us remember to pray for the persecuted.

The Time For Gladness!
'The Time For Gladness.'
Revelation 19:7-8.
a) "Let us be glad and rejoice,
b) And let us give honour to Him.
c) For the time has come for the Wedding Feast of the Lamb,
d) And His bride has prepared herself.
e) She has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear."
f) For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God's Holy People.
(This QT shows me The Time For Gladness)
PRAY: For Gladness to be in our Faith Life.
--------------
'Sometimes An Introduction Is Needed.'
Acts 9:26-28.
a) Acts 9:26. After Saul arrived in Jerusalem,
b) Acts 9:26. He tried to join the Disciples.
c) Acts 9:26. But everyone was afraid of him.
d) Acts 9:26. They wouldn't believe that he was a Disciple.
e) Acts 9:27. But Barnabas took him and brought him to the Apostles.
f) Acts 9:27. And he declared to them how he had seen the Lord on the road,
g) Acts 9:27. And that he had spoken to him,
h) Acts 9:27. And how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the Name of Jesus.
i) Acts 9:28. Then Saul went throughout Jerusalem with the Disciples.
j) Acts 9:28. He spoke boldly with the Power and Authority of the Lord.
(This Second one reminds me that Sometimes An Introduction Is Needed)
PRAY: For Churches to be free from false 'ministers' who manipulate themselves into the pulpit.
--------------
Chris.
When Gladness is in our Faith life, it makes Faith seem like an attractive thing to other people. If we read the Book of Acts, we can find that the early Church leaders were so often filled with Joy, even in the most difficult of circumstances. the Bible teaches us that the Joy of the Lord is our strength, let us Pray for more of this Joy. This Joy is something deep in our hearts and has nothing to do with strange laughter.
Amazing Flood!
'Amazing Flood.'
Genesis 7:18.
a) The waters prevailed
b) And increased greatly on the Earth,
c) And the Ark
d) Floated on the face of the waters.
(This QT reminds me of the Amazing Flood)
PRAY: To believe the entirety of God's Word.
---------------
'The Beautiful Bride Of Christ.'
Revelation 19:7-8.
a) Let us be glad and rejoice,
b) And let us give honor to Him.
c) For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb,
d) And His Bride has prepared herself.
e) She has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear.
f) For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God's Holy People.
(This Second one reveals to me The Beautiful Bride Of Christ)
PRAY: To be ready for The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb.
---------------
Chris.
The waters prevailed on the Earth. When God does something, He does it well. The flood that God sent at the time of Noah is still taught about and spoken about today. It was an incredible miracle. When God really says something, we should believe it. The problem is that there are a host of people around these days saying: "God says", when He has not spoken at all.

They Really Wanted To Know!
'They Really Wanted To Know.'
Acts 2:12.
a) All of these devout men were stunned and puzzled.
b) They asked each other:
c) "What can this mean?"
(This QT reveals to me that They Really Wanted To Know)
PRAY: For more understanding of God's Words and Works.
--------------
'God's Perfect Time.'
Psalm 12:5.
a) "Because the poor are plundered
b) "And the needy groan,
c) "I will now arise,"
d) Says the Lord.
e) "I will protect them from those who malign them."
(Through this Second one I believe that there is always God's Perfect Time)
PRAY: To be sensitive to God's Perfect Time.
--------------
Chris.
Something that all of us can do is to Pray for more understanding of God's Words and Works. If we think that we understand everything that there is to be understood about God, it is a sure sign that we have a problem of spiritual pride. A theme that recurs frequently throughout Scripture is the plea for us to be humble. God rewards the humble, it is a clear promise of God.

We Should Not Break Faith!
'We Should Not break Faith.'
Joshua 7:1.
a) But the Israelites broke faith
b) In regard to the devoted things:
c) Achan son of Carmi
d) Son of Zabdi
e) Son of Zerah,
f) Of the Tribe of Judah,
g) Took some of the devoted things;
h) And the anger of the Lord burned against the Israelites.
(This QT reminds me that I Should Not Break Faith)
PRAY: That we, and the people with whom we are in fellowship, Should Not Break Faith.
------------
'None Are Righteous.'
Romans 3:9.
a) What then?
b) Are we any better off?
c) No, not at all;
d) For we have already charged that all,
e) Both Jews and Greeks,
f) Are under the power of sin.
(Through this Second one I understand that None Are Righteous)
PRAY: To have the humble realization that None Are Righteous, therefore we all need Christ.
------------
Chris.
We need to realize that there is no perfect people group or tribe here on this Earth. The Jewish people were, at some point in time God's Chosen People, but they really "messed up" in their relationship with God and went completely out of fellowship with Him. All humanity needs to be redeemed and there is only one way that that can happen, it is through the Blood of Jesus Christ. Any group or race that claims to have a special relationship with God without being washed by the Blood of Jesus Christ is surely a cult or false religion.
PICTURE: Even famous people need the Grace of God!

High Above The Earth!
'High Above The Earth.'
Genesis 7:17.
a) Now the flood was on the Earth forty days.
b) The water increased
c) And lifted up the Ark,
d) And it rose high above the Earth.
(This QT reminds me that the Ark rose High Above The Earth)
PRAY: To always believe the Word of God.
-----------
'Clear Teaching Of God's Word.'
Ezekiel 44:23.
a) They are to teach My people
b) The difference between the holy and the common
c) And show them how to distinguish
d) Between the unclean and the clean
(Through this Second one I find the importance of the Clear Teaching Of God's Word)
PRAY: For the Clear Teaching Of God's Word in our Churches.
-----------
Chris.
A part of the reason for our Daily Bible Reading is simply to remind us of what God's Word says. We should Believe the Word of God if we claim to be True Believers in the Lord. he has given us His Word to reveal His Heart to us and also, as we read it we can grow in our Faith. Let us Believe His Word daily as we take it into our lives.

Amazing Linguistic Miracle!
'Amazing Linguistic Miracle.'
Acts 2:8-11.
a) Acts 2:8. How is it that we can hear these unlearned people speaking:
b) Acts 2:8. Each of them clearly in a language which they have never learned?
c) Acts 2:9-11. These identifiable languages:
1-Parthians.
2-Medes.
3-Elamites.
4-Residents of: A-Mesopotamia. B-Judea. C-Cappadocia. D-Pontus. E-Asia. F-Phrygia.
G-Pamphylia. H. Egypt. I-Cyrenian Libya. J-Rome. K-Jews. L-Proselytes. M-Cretans.
N-Arabians.
We hear them telling in our own languages the mighty works of God.
(This QT reveals to me an Amazing Linguistic Miracle)
PRAY: To experience a practical and amazing miracle from God that will help our Faith life.
---------
'We Need To Hear For Ourselves.'
John 4:42.
a) They said to the woman,
b) "It is no longer because of what you said that we believe,
c) "For we have heard for ourselves,
d) "And we know that this is indeed the Saviour of the World."
(This Second one makes me understand that We Need To Hear For Ourselves)
PRAY: To heed what we hear well.
---------
Chris.
The Bible teaches us that the Medes were far more interested in conquering lands than they were in having riches. Their minds were more 'power' focused than wealth focused. An amazing thing was that God took their language and gave it to the Early Church Believers when He poured out the Holy Spirit upon them.

The Great And Awesome God!
'The Great And Awesome God.'
Nehemiah 1:5.
a) Then I said:
b) "Lord, the God of Heaven,
c) "The Great and Awesome God,
d) "Who keeps His Covenant of Love
e) "With those who love Him
f) "And keep His Commandments,"
(This QT reveals to me The Great And Awesome God)
PRAY: To know The Great And Awesome God.
--------
'Apostle Paul's Evangelistic Heart.'
Acts 17:17.
a) So Paul reasoned in the Synagogue
b) With both Jews and God fearing Greeks,
c) As well as in the market place
d) Day by day
e) With those who happened to be there.
(Through this Second one we find Apostle Paul's Evangelistic Heart)
PRAY: To have a heart like Apostle Paul.
--------
Chris.
It is good to speak out, or at least to whisper our prayers, just as Nehemiah did. just "thinking" a prayer is not really praying at all. one of the 'lost' functions of the Church in UK today is the function of corporate prayer. It seems so often that when people come together to pray it becomes almost like a concert, it was not like that in Bible days. Quality of language does not enhance our prayers, the Holy Spirit does.

The Lord Shut Him In!
Genesis 7:16.
a) So those that entered (the Ark),
b) Male and female of all flesh,
c) Went in as God commanded him;
d) And the Lord shut him in.
(This QT reminds me that The Lord Shut Him In, and not Noah himself)
PRAY: To trust the Lord in every circumstance.
-------
'The Jerusalem Mission Team.'
Galatians 2:1.
a) After fourteen years
b) I went up again to Jerusalem
c) With Barnabas,
d) And also took Titus with me.
(This Second one teaches a good Mission model - The Jerusalem Mission Team)
PRAY: For Biblical Mission Teams to go to the Nations.
-------
Chris.
We need to trust the Lord in every circumstance. Noah had both Faith and Obedience towards the Lord and he gives us a good example. He simply did what God said, even though his actions may have seemed strange to some of the people around him. The hymn says: "Trust and Obey, for there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus, but to Trust and Obey."
Monday, May 4, 2020
Utter Amazement!
'Utter Amazement.'
Acts 2:7.
a) Amazed and astonished,
b) They asked,
c) "Are not all these who are speaking Galileans?"
(This QT reminds me that the original Day of Pentecost outpouring had the people in Utter Amazement)
PRAY: To be filled with Holy Spirit.
------
'Jesus Looks For Us To Have Faith.'
Matthew 8:10.
a) When Jesus head him,
b) He was amazed
c) and said to those who followed Him,
d) "Truly I tell you,
e) "In no one in Israel have I found such Faith."
(Through this Second one I realize that Jesus Looks For Us To Have Faith)
PRAY: To have Faith.
------
Chris.
When we read the Book of Acts it sometimes puts a desire into our hearts that we would like to see the modern day Church lived out in a similar way. What God wants to do is to move by His Spirit in our present day spirituality and Church-style. It does not particularly matter to which denomination we belong. The simple key is praying to God for a moving of the Holy Spirit in our Church in these days.

The Wise Men Knew!
'The Wise Men Knew.'.
Matthew 2:1-2.
a) Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea,
b) During the reign of King Herod.
c) About that time some wise men from Eastern Lands arrived in Jerusalem,
d) Asking,
e) "Where is the new born King?
f) "We saw His star in the East
g) "And have come to Worship Him."
(This QT reminds me that The Wise Men Knew)
PRAY: For our sensitivity to God's Leading.
-----
'It Took A Miracle For Them To Understand.'
Matthew 14:32-33.
a) And when they got into the boat,
b) The wind ceased.
c) And those in the boat worshiped Him, saying;
d) "Truly You are the Son of God."
----
Chris.
This must have been a very special understanding that the Lord gave to the wise men. "They saw His Star in the East." How did they know that it was the Lord's Star? it could only have been by revelation from the Lord Himself! There are many ways in which the Lord may reveal Himself to us: it may even be a by a star, or in a storm-tossed sea; let us be sensitive to him.
They All Had The Breath Of Life.
'They All Had The Breath Of Life.'
Genesis 7:15.
a) And they went into the Ark
b) To Noah,
c) Two by two,
d) Of all flesh in which is the breath of life.
(This QT reminds me that all who entered the Ark had the Breath of Life)
PRAY: Thanking God for The Breath Of Life.
----
'How To Serve God.'
Genesis 17:1.
a) When Abram was ninety-nine years old,
b) The Lord appeared to him and said:
c) "I am El Shaddai - God Almighty.
d) "Serve Me faithfully
e) "And live a blameless life."
(Through this Second one I find How To Serve God)
PRAY: To serve God faithfully with a blameless life.
----
Chris.
We frequently need to be reminded by the Word of God how to live the right kind of life before Him. We should never just be 'using' the Word of God for ministry if it is not moving our own hearts, that is just 'dead' religion. Let's be motivated daily by the wonderful Word of God.

Too Many People!
'Too Many People.'
Judges 7:1-2.
a) jerubbaal (Gideon) and all the people that were with him rose early
b) And encamped beside the spring of Harod.
c) The camp of Midian was North of them,
d) By the Hill of Moreh,
e) In the valley.
f) The Lord said to Gideon:
g) "The people with you are too many for Me
h) "To give the Midianites into their hand,
i) "Lest Israel boast over Me saying:
j) " 'My own hand has saved me.' "
(This QT reminds me that God does not always want Too Many People)
PRAY: That we will trust in the Lord rather than in large numbers of people.
---
'Be Free From Timidity.'
2 Timothy 1:7.
a) For the Spirit God gave us
b) Does not make us timid,
c) But gives us power,
d) Love
e) And Self-Discipline.
(Through this Second one I know that we can Be Free From Timidity)
PRAY: To be filled with the Spirit that God gives to us.
---
Chris.
What the Lord said to Gideon must have been quite difficult for Gideon to receive and believe! In the eyes of men, a huge army would have surely been a successful army. Surely today we still see this concept. Some Nations spread their armies in camps all over the World - it looks so powerful. We are reminded to put and to keep our trust in the Lord, He is the All-Powerful God!

A Confused And Bewildered Crowd!
‘A Confused And Bewildered Crowd.’
Acts 2:6.
a) When this sound occurred,
b) A crowd came together and was confused
c) Because each one heard them speaking in his own language.
(This QT reveals A Confused And Bewildered Crowd)
—————————
‘From Predestination To Glorification.’
Romans 8:30.
a) Those He predestined,
b) He also called;
c) And those He called;
d) He also justified,
e). He also glorified.
(Through this Second one I discover the way From Predestination To Glorification)
PRAY: For a good personal understanding of God’s Word.
——————————
Chris.
When we understand that we are Saved, or Born Again, or whatever phrase we may like to use about our New Life in Christ, that understanding puts us on the pathway to Eternal Life where we can grow in Faith. This understanding is a work of the Holy Spirit within us, given us because we are Saved. We should always esteem God’s Presence within us, given to us because we are His Children.

It All Began With A Family - Again!
'It All Began With A Family - Again.'
Genesis 7:13-14.
a) On the very same day
b) Noah and Noah's sons,
c) Shem, Ham and Japheth,
d) And Noah's wife
e) And the three wives of his sons with them,
f) Entered the Ark-
g) They and every beast after its kind,
h) All cattle after their kind,
i) Every creeping thing that creeps upon the Earth after its kind,
j) And every bird after its kind,
k) Every bird of every sort,
(This QT reminds me that It All Began With A Family Again)
PRAY: For the needs of your family to be met - whatever those needs may be.
------------------
'God Commanded.'
a) Genesis 2:16. The man.
b) Genesis 6:22. Noah.
c) Deuteronomy 1:41; 5:12 & 15. The Children of Israel.
d) Deuteronomy 4:5; Joshua 9:24. Moses.
e) 2 Chronicles 35:21. To make haste.
f) Matthew 15:4. That we honor our parents.
(Through this Second one I find some of what God Commanded)
PRAY: That we will be sensitive to what God Commanded.
------------------
Chris.
Praying for the known needs of our family is a necessary and important prayer. Probably, you may be the only person who is praying for your family if your family are not active Believers in the Lord. Families are not exclusively God's Plan today but they are very much a part of His Plan. The local Church usually has a number of families within the flock, as well as the single people.

Our Helper!
'Our Helper.'
John 14:16.
a) And I (The Lord Jesus) will ask the Father,
b) And He will give you another Helper,
c) That He may abide with you forever.
(This QT makes me grateful for Our Helper - the Holy Spirit.)
PRAY: To trust more in our Helper.
-----------------
'The Spirit Of Truth.'
John 16:13-14.
a) Guides us into all Truth.
b) Does not speak on His Own authority.
c) Speaks what He hears (From the Father).
d) Declares the things that are to come.
e) Glorifies the Lord Jesus.
(Through this Second one I understand more about The Spirit Of Truth)
PRAY: To be filled with The Spirit Of Truth.
------------------
Chris.
God has given to us His Holy Spirit, we should be able to honor and trust Him. The Scriptures enjoin and exhort us to be filled with the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit within us and the Word of God which are our God-given Guides. As we learn to be filled with the Holy Spirit according to the Word of God, we can become increasingly sensitive to God Himself.

A True Believing Community!
'A True Believing Community.'
Acts 2:5.
a) Now there were Jews staying in Jerusalem
b) Devout people,
c) From every Nation under Heaven.
(This QT gives a clear picture of A True Believing Community)
PRAY: To be a part of A True Believing Community.
----------------
'All Welcome To Worship.'
John 12:20.
a) Some Greek people
b) Were among those who
c) Went up to Worship
d) During the Passover Festival.
(Through this Second one I realize the principle: All Welcome To Worship)
PRAY: For our Churches to have the concept: All Welcome To Worship.
----------------
Chris.
In some Nations it is difficult to easily gather together with other Believers to Worship God. This difficulty may be for various reasons. Prayer, however, can make the seemingly impossible possible. If we pray, God can make a way. I have heard many testimonies of how God has made this possible. Even if it is difficult for us to have fellowship, we should maintain our personal Prayer life.

When God Made It Rain!
'When God Made It Rain.'
Genesis 7:12.
a) And rain fell upon the Earth
b) For forty days
c) And forty nights.
(This QT reveals what happened When God Made It Rain)
PRAY: Trusting God to give us the weather that is best for us.
--------------
'After His Fast.'
Matthew 4:2.
a) Jesus fasted
b) For forty days and nights,
c) He then became hungry.
(Through this Second one I realize that it was After His Fast that Jesus became hungry, not during it)
PRAY: That our fasting only be in the Will of God.

Chris.
It is good to trust God for every part of our life and environment, this can even include the weather. In every climatic condition people's mood can be affected by the weather. This is something that we should not 'just accept', it is something that we should pray about. It is not so much as praying: "God, please change the weather." It is more about praying: "God, please change me!"

Please Respond Well To The Lord!
‘Please Respond Well To The Lord.’
1 Samuel 3:10.
a) The Lord came,
b) Stood there,
c). And called as before:
d). “Samuel, Samuel,”
e). Samuel responded: “Speak, for Your servant is listening.”
(This QT reminds me of the call to please respond well to the Lord)
PRAY: To respond well to the Lord.
———-
‘Faith and Love.’
2 Thessalonians 1:3.
a) We must always thank God for you Brothers,
b) Which is fitting,
c). Since your faith is flourishing.
d). And the love of every one of you
e). For one another is increasing.
(This Second one calls me to Faith And Love)
PRAY: For more Faith and Love to be in our lives.
———
Chris.
Our responses to the Lord are an essential part of our Faith life. If we do not respond to Him when He. Speaks to us, we will not grow spiritually. To hunger and thirst after God includes responding to Him when He speaks to us. The Bible teaches us to respond to the Lord and not to be passive in our faith life.u
