We Should Not Be Wise In Our Own Opinion!

'We Should Not Be Wise In Our Own Opinion.'

Romans 11:25.

a)  For I do not desire,

b)  Brethren,

c)  That you should be ignorant of this mystery,

d)  Lest you should be wise in your own opinion,

e)  That blindness in part has happened to Israel

f)  Until the fulness of the Gentiles has come in.

(This QT reminds me that I Should Not Be Wise In My Own Opinion)

PRAY: Not to be wise in your own opinion.

-----

'The Purest Of Intentions.'

Romans 1:13.

a)  I do not want you to be unaware,

b)  Brothers and sisters,

c)  That I often intended to come to you,

d)  And was prevented until now,

e)  So that I might have some fruit,

f)  Even among you,

g)  Just as I already have among the rest of the Gentiles.

(This Second one reveals The Purest Of Intentions)

PRAY: To be sensitive to the Holy Spirit's Will and Leading,

-----

Chris.

Romans is the first of Apostle Paul's Epistles according to the New Testament. It is good for us to study these Epistles, for in doing so we find more of God's Heart expressed through Paul. In writing these Epistles Apostle Paul seemed to be very eager for the Brothers and Sisters to know and to do the Will of God. May we have the same heart - knowing and doing God's Will.

Saul Was Trying To Destroy The Church!

'Saul Was Trying To Destroy The Church.'

Acts 8:3.

a)  But Saul was ravaging the Church,

b)  And entering house after house,

c)  He dragged off men and women

d)  And committed them to prison.

(This QT shows me that Saul Was Trying To Destroy The Church)

PRAY: For the safety and security of your local Church.

----

'Incredible.'

Acts 7:53.

a)  You received the Law

b)  By decrees given by Angels,

c)  But you did not obey it.

(This Second one show us something Incredible)

PRAY: To obey the Word of the Lord.

----

Chris.

We should be aware of those people who try to destroy the Church. This matter needs to be dealt with quickly and calmly by the Leadership of the Church. There will always be destructive people around but Anointed Leadership can surely deal with them and keep the Churches secure and safe.

Keep Them Safe!

'Keep Them Safe.'

John 17:15.

a)  "I am not asking you to take them out of the World.

b)  "But that you keep them safe

c)  "From the evil one."

(This QT reminds me that the Lord wants us to be Kept Safe)

PRAY:  To be Kept Safe by the Lord.

---

'One Flock With One Shepherd.'

John 10:16.

a)  "I have other sheep, too, that are not of this sheepfold.

b)  "I must bring them also.

c)  "They will listen to My Voice,

d)  "And there will be one flock with one Shepherd."

(Through this Second one I know that there will be One Flock With One Shepherd)

PRAY: For the security of the Lord's flocks.

---

Chris.

It is a sensible Prayer to pray that we will be kept safe by the Lord. The Bible tells us that He is able to keep us. We need to commit ourselves to the Lord and to trust Him. God is good and faithful to His Promises. I do pray that the Churches in each locality will see themselves as one flock.

Consider This!

'Consider This.'

Romans 11:24.

a)  For if you were cut off from what is by nature a wild olive tree,

b)  And grafted, contrary to nature,

c)  Into a cultivated olive tree,

d)  How much more will these natural branches be grafted back into their own olive tree?

(This QT causes me to Consider This)

PRAY: Considering this QT.

--------------------------

'It Is Really Easy To Understand.'

Matthew 12:30.

a)  Whoever is not with Me

b)  Is against Me,

c)  And whoever does not gather with Me

d)  Scatters.

(This Second one teaches me and It Is Really Easy To Understand)

PRAY: To be with the Lord and not against Him.

--------------------------

Chris.

It is a very fruitful exercise to Pray considering the Word of God. In many Churches, before prayer commences in the Prayer Meeting, there is some kind of sharing of the Word of God. This is so helpful! If the leader of the meeting conducts it in this way it is an excellent way. Through God's Word we can be guided in our prayers.

Who Was Nicodemus?

 'Who Was Nicodemus?'

John 3:1.

a)  Nicodemus was a man of the Pharisees.

b)  Nicodemus was a Jewish leader.

c)  Nicodemus was a ruler of the Jews.

(This QT answers my question: Who Was Nicodemus?)

PRAY: That our questions about Biblical matters will be answered well.

-------------------------

'The Accusers Of The Lord Were So Wrong!'

John 7:52.

a)  "You aren't from Galilee too, are you?" They replied.

b)  "Investigate.

c)  "And you will see that no prophet arises from Galilee."

(Through this Second one I find that The Accusers Of The Lord Were So Wrong)

PRAY: To reject all accusations about the Lord.

------------------------

Chris.

If we want to know more about the Bible Characters, the first place to search is the Bible itsself. We can turn to all kinds of Bible Reference books which may be very helpful but we really need to read and know our Bible more and more. We should not follow those people who read Bible Reference books more than reading the Bible!

They Are Not Of The World!

'They Are Not Of This World.'

John 17:14.

a) "I have given them Your Word;

b) "And the World has hated them

c)  "Because they are not of the World,

d)  "Just as I am not of the World."

(This QT reminds me that True Disciples of Jesus Are Not Of This World)

PRAY: To live as a True Disciple of Jesus Christ.

-------------------

'Because They Were Hungry.'

Matthew 12:1.

a)  At that time

b)  Jesus went through the grain fields on the Sabbath.

c)  And His Disciples were hungry,

d)  And began to pluck heads of grain

e)  And to eat.

(Through this Second one I see that the Disciples of Jesus did something unusual Because They Were Hungry)

PRAY: To take necessary food and not go hungry - unless we are fasting.

--------------------

Chris.

It is very clear in the Word of God that God does not want His People to go hungry. In these days fasting is acceptable but not extreme fasting! Fasting does not make God do something! The most effective witness is a balanced life - without extremes! It is clear from the Scriptures that Jesus Christ lived a balanced life. He died a terrible death on the Cross but the life that He lives was both sacrificial and balanced.

Do Not Persist In Unbelief!

 'Do Not Persist In Unbelief!'

Romans 11:23.

a)  And if they do not persist in unbelief,

b)  They will be grafted in,

c)  For God is able

d)  To graft them in again.

(This QT exhorts me: Do Not Persist In Unbelief)

PRAY: Not to persist in unbelief.

-----------------

'A Real King.'

Daniel 2:37.

a)  Your Majesty,

b)  You are the greatest of kings.

c)  The God of Heaven has given you:

d)  Sovereignty, power, strength and honor.

(This Second one reveals A Real King)

PRAY: For those who reign over our Nations.

-----------------

Chris.

We should be able to pray for, honor and respect those people who rule and reign over our Nations. This is both Biblical and necessary! Rulers have the gift of Sovereignty. Rulers have Power and Authority. Rulers have a unique strength that comes from God. Rulers should rule in such a way so that they are worthy to receive honor.

Jesus Knew And Jesus Knows!

 'Jesus Knew And Jesus Knows!'

John 2:25.

a)  Jesus did not need anyone to testify about man,

b)  For He knew

c)  What was in man.

(This QT reminds me that Jesus Knew And Jesus Knows)

PRAY: To trust the omniscience of Jesus.

----------------

'Happy And Healthy.'

Proverbs 15:30.

a)  The light of the eyes rejoices the heart,

b)  And a good report

c)  Makes the bones healthy.

(Through this Second one I desire to be Happy And Healthy)

PRAY: To be Happy And Healthy.

-----------------

Chris.

Something that we should always consider is that Jesus Knew and Jesus Knows. This should be a great comfort to us continually. He is omniscient! Not only does He know what is in us, He also knows the end from the beginning. We should learn to trust Him, this will be for our benefit in many different ways!

The Full Measure!

'The Full Measure.'

John 17:13.

a)  "I am coming to You now,

b)  "But I say these things

c)  "While I am still in the World,

d)  "So that they may have the full measure of My Joy within them."

(This QT reveals to me The Full Measure)

PRAY: To have The Full Measure of Christ's Joy within.

---------------

'Get The Gershonite Deacons On The Job.'

Numbers 4:26.

a)  The curtains of the courtyard surrounding the tabernacle and altar,

b)  The curtain for the entrance of the courtyard,

c)  The ropes and all the equipment used in the service of the tent.

d)  The Gershonites are to do all that needs to be done with these things.

(This Second one reveals God's Instruction: Get The Gershonite Deacons On The Job)

PRAY: To have the will to do God's Will at all times.

---------------

Chris.

God's Word reveals many things! Included in this is the fact that God's Word reveals His Instructions. God is concerned about "who does what", and we should carefully follow His instructions! If we diligently read the Word of God we will discover His specific instructions.

The Kindness And Severity Of God!

'The Kindness And Severity Of God.'

Romans 11:22.

a)  Note then the kindness and severity of God:

b)  Severity towards those who have fallen,

c)   But God's kindness to you,

d)  Provided you continue in His Kindness.

e)  Otherwise, you too will be cut off.

(This QT reveals to me The Kindness And Severity Of God)

PRAY: To experience God's Mercy daily.

--------------

'Be United.'

1 Corinthians 1:10.

a)  I urge you,

b)  Brothers and Sisters,

c)  By the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

d)  To agree together,

e)  To end your divisions,

f)  And to be united by the same mind and purpose.

(Through this Second one I heed the Word of God to Be United)

PRAY: To Be United where you need to be.

-------------

Chris.

It is important to Be United where we need to be united, whatever the environment may be! To remain in disunity can cause many problems in the Body of Christ and even in the Believer's family! We need to end our divisions, agree, and get on with doing what God wants us to do. Remember... please be united.

Jesus Did Not Trust Them!

'Jesus Did Not Trust Them.'

John 2:24.

a)  But Jesus did not trust them

b)  Because

c)  He knew all about people.

(This QT reveals to me that Jesus Did Not Trust Them)

PRAY: For trustworthy colleagues and friends.

-------------

'Pray To Know Whom God Has Chosen.'

Acts 1:24.

a)  And they prayed:

b)  "Lord, You know everyone's heart.

c)  "Show us which of these two You have chosen."

(Through this Second one I see that it is good to Pray To Know Whom God Has Chosen)

PRAY:  To know whom God has chosen.

-------------

Chris.

When they Prayed, they Prayed with this conviction: The Lord knows everyone's heart. I see that this is a very good example for us in our foundation for Prayer! Truly, the Lord knows everyone's heart. As we pray with this conviction it gives us more confidence for our praying! Surely, we can come with boldness to the Throne of Grace!

Not One Of Them Has Been Lost!

'Not One Of Them Has Been Lost.'

John 17:12.

a)  "While I was with them

b)  "I kept them safe

c)  "And watched over them in Your Name,

d)  "That You have given Me.

e)  "Not one of them was lost

f)  "Except the the one destined for destruction,

g)  "That the Scripture might be fulfilled."

(This QT reminds me that Not One Of Them Has Been Lost)

PRAY: That in our Chuches Not One Of Them Shall be Lost.

------------

'Cain.'

1 John 3:12.

a)  We should not be like Cain,

b)  Who was of the evil one and murdered his brother.

c)  And why did he murder him?

d)  Because his own deeds were evil

e)  And his brother's righteous.

(This Second one cautions me to learn from the life of Cain)

PRAY: To live doing righteous deeds.

------------

Chris.

Here is a Bible Character that we should learn from, Cain. Unlike Cain, we need to live a righteous life. Cain was evil, that is abundantly clear! He was of the evil one, that is a terrible thing to write or say about anyone! Let us focus on living a righteous life and in doing so glorifying the Lord.

The Natural Branches And Us!

 'The Natural Branches And Us!'

Romans 11:21.

a)  If God cut away those natural branches,

b)  He will not spare you,

c)  Either.

(This QT makes me compare The Natural Branches And Us)

PRAY:  For God's Mercy daily.

----------

'Stop Slowing Them Down!'

Ezra 6:7.

a)  Let the Jewish Governer and Leaders

b)  Rebuild the Temple where it stood before.

c)  And stop slowing them down.

(Through this Second one I see the importance of the command: Stop Slowing Them Down)

PRAY: For God's Work to be accomplished, wherever it is.

----------

Chris.

Sometimes, we need to consider nature - God's Creation - when we ponder His Working in our lives. As we look at this Marvel, the Creation of God, we cannot but help be moved in our hearts by all that He has done and all that He is doing! God is both a living and compassionate God - we can pray for His Mercy daily.

They Believed Because They Saw!

'They Believed Because They Saw.'

John 2:23.

a)  Now when He was in Jerusalem

b)  At the Passover Feast,

c)  Many believed in His Name

d)  When they saw the signs that He was doing.

(Through this QT I understand that They Believed Because They Saw)

PRAY: For many people in our districts to Believe Because They See.

---------

'The Way To Love.'

3 John 1:1.

a)  The Elder

b)  To the Beloved Gaius,

c)  Whom I love in Truth.

(This Second one shows to me The Way To Love)

PRAY:  To understand and know The Way To Love.

---------

Chris.

It is definitely not a sin, or something erroneous, to Believe because we see! It is natural! Churches need to encouragers their members to see well. If they see well, then they can Believe well! True Believers should not be people who "walk around with their eyes closed".

Protect Them By The Power Of Your Name!

'Protect Them By The Power Of Your Name.'

John 17:11.

a)  Now I am departing from the World;

b)  They are staying in this World,

c)  But I am coming to You.

d)  Holy Father,

e)  You have given Me Your Name;

f)  Now protect them by the Power of Your Name

g)  So that they will be united just as We are.

(This QT reminds me that we need God's Protection for our lives.

PRAY: To be protected by the Power of the Lord's Name.

--------

'He Loved Them To The End.'

John 13:1.

a)  Now before the Feast of the Passover,

b)  Jesus knowing that His hour had come

c)  That He would depart out of this World to the Father,

d)  Having loved His own who were in the World,

e)  He loved them to the end.

(Through this Second one I know that He (Jesus) Loved Them To The End)

PRAY:  To be sensitive to the times and seasons.

--------

Chris.

We have an example of Love found in the Life and Death of our Lord Jesus Christ. Truly, He loved them to the end! I am so grateful to God that the Life which we have in the Lord is Eternal Life! As we ponder upon this Gift of Eternal Life, it should stimulate us to share the Gospel with others and to live out Eternal Life before them.

Do Not Become Proud!

 'Do Not Become Proud.'

Romans 11:20.

a)  That is true.

b)  They were broken off because of their unbelief,

c)  But you stand fast through Faith.

d)  So do not become proud

e)  But fear.

(This QT exhorts me...Do Not Become Proud)

PRAY: Rejecting unbelief and pride in our lives.

-------

'Take Heed.'

1 Corinthians 10:12.

a)  Therefore

b)  Let anyone who thinks

c)  That he stands

d)  Take heed lest he fall.

(Through this Second one I am enjoined to Take Heed)

PRAY: To obey the Word of God

-------

Chris.

We need to take certain responsibilities for our lives. Rejecting unbelief and pride is very important for our character and spirituality. Just like the Word of God says: We are to take heed lest we fall! As we take responsibility for our lives we can increase our spirituality.

They Remembered And Believed!

'They Remembered And Believed!'
John 2:22.
a)  After He was raised from the dead,
b)  His Disciples recalled what He had said.
c)  Then they believed the Scripture
d)  And the Words that Jesus had spoken.
(This QT reminds me that They Remembered And Believed)
PRAY: To remember and believe the Words that the Lord speaks to us.
------
'Angelic Comfort.'
Luke 1:30.
a)  Then the Angel told her:
b)  "Do not be afraid,
c)  "Mary;
d)  "You have found favour with God."
(This Second one reveals to me Angelic Comfort)
PRAY: Thanking God for Angelic Comfort.
------
Chris.
There are times when, just like the Disciples in the Bible, we remember and Believe! These times are special because we realise that the Words of God are true. Real winter season, as in the picture, is a very good time in which we can concentrate, without disturbance, on God and His Word. To remember and Believe is beneficial for every True Believer!

Christ Is Glorified In Those Who Belong To Him!

'Christ Is Glorified In Those Who Belong To Him.'

John 17:10.

a)  "All Mine are Yours,

b)  "And Yours are Mine,

c)  "And I am Glorified in them.

(Through this QT I see that Christ Is Glorified In Those Who Belong To Him)

PRAY: For Christ to be Glorified in our lives.

-----

'The Big Test.'

1 Corin!thians 3:13.

a)  Each one's work will become manifest,

b)  For the day will disclose it,

c)  Because it will be revealed by fire,

d)  And the fire will test what sort of work each one has done.

(This Second one reveals The Big Test)

PRAY: For God's Mercy to help us past The Big Test.

-----

Chris.

One of the most important Prayers that we can Pray is for Christ to be Glorified in our lives. This should be a paramount desire for every True Believer. I have encountered in recent years, especially here in the UK, some serving Christians who hunger for the "glory" and who really cause many problems in the Body of Christ. God must have ALL the Glory. There is no alternative in genuine Christianity!

Abundant Grace!

 'Abundant Grace.'

Romans 11:19.

a)  Then you will say:

b)  "Branches were broken off

c)  "So that I may be grafted in."

(This QT reveals to me an example of Abundant Grace)

PRAY: To appreciate Abundant Grace.

----

'We Should Repent If We Need To.'

Luke 13:3.

a)  "No,

b)  "I tell you;

c)  "But unless you repent,

d)  "You will all likewise perish."

(Through this Second one I am sure that We Should Repent If We Need To)

PRAY: To repent if we need to.

----

Chris.

Appreciating Abundant Grace is not something that comes to us casually or if we have an unrepentant heart. We can really appreciate Abundant Grace as we walk we walk with the Lord day-by-day. It is the Grace of God that leads us to Repentance so we need to learn to appreciate daily Grace. There may be times when God calls us to repentance - if so, that is really Abundant Grace.

Another Temple!

 'Another Temple.'

John 2:20-21.

a)  Then the Jewish Leaders said to Him:

b)  "This Temple has been under construction for 46 years

c)  "And are You going to raise it up in three days?

d)  But Jesus was speaking about the Temple of His Body.

(This QT clearly shows to us Another Temple)

PRAY: To honour and esteem The Temple of Jesus Christ's Body.

---

'Ridding God's House Of Marketeers.'

Matthew 21:12.

a)  And Jesus entered into the Temple of God,

b)  And cast out all who sold and bought in the Temple,

c)  And overthrew the tables of the money changers

d)  And the seats of them that sold the doves.

(Through this Second one I know that it is good to be Ridding God's House Of Marketeers)

PRAY: For marketeers to be kept out of our local Church buildings.

---

Chris.

This is not meant to be offensive or accusing to anyone personally, it simply declares and exposes the need for God's House to be kept as a pure place. If Believers have things to sell, or if the Church has some special "money-raising" event, these things need to be kept away from the Sanctuary of God's House. Church buildings are meant to be for the Glory of God, places where the Holy Spirit is ever-present.

Jesus Christ Is Specifically Praying For...!

'Jesus Christ Is Specifically Praying For...!'

John 17:9.

a)  I pray for them:

b)  I pray not for the World,

c)  But for them which Thou has given Me;

d)  For they are Thine.

(This QT reveals to me whom Jesus Christ Is Specifically Praying For)

PRAY: Especially for our fellow Disciples.

------------------------------

'Concerning.'

a)  Matthew 4:6. Satan misquotes the Scripture concerning Jesus Christ.

b)  Matthew 11:7. Jesus Christ spoke concerning John Baptist.

c)  John 7:32. The people were speaking accusations concerning Jesus Christ.

d)  John 9:18. The Jews did not believe concerning Jesus Christ.

e)  Acts 8:12; 19:8. ...they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the Kingdom of God.

f)  1 Corinthians 12:1. Spiritual gifts.

(Through this Second one I desire to read carefully the 'Concerning' Scriptures)

PRAY: For those people who do not yet believe concerning Jesus Christ.

------------------------------

Chris.

We should consider carefully the "concerning" Scriptures. In doing this, we can really understand them better. One of the Lord's Desires for us is that we can really understand and mentally digest His Word. There is really no excuse for any ignorance concerning God's Word - it is there for all of us to read, translated into many languages!

Do Not Be Arrogant Toward The Branches!

'Do Not Be Arrogant Toward The Branches.'

Romans 11:18.

a)  Do not be arrogant toward the branches.

b)  If you are,

c)  Remember it is not you who support the root,

d)  But the root that supports you.

(This QT strongly reminds me: Do Not Be Arrogant Toward The Branches)

PRAY: To be free from all arrogance.

-----------------------------

'Not To Cover It Up.'

James 3:14.

a)  But if you are bitterly jealous

b)  And there is selfish ambition in your heart,

c)  Don't cover up the truth

d)  With boasting and lying.

(This Second one causes me to heed God's Counsel: Not To Cover It Up)

PRAY: Not to cover up the sin in our heart.

-----------------------------

Chris.

If we are carrying bitter jealousy it can ruin our health and our relationships! We really need to get rid of it! Bitter jealousy is the main cause of selfish ambition. We cannot justify bitter jealousy - simply put, it is sin! We can save ourselves a lot of health problems if we forsake bitter jealousy.

A Holy Challenge!

'A Holy Challenge!'
John 2:19.
a)  Jesus answered and said to them,
b)  "Destroy this temple,
c)  "And in three days
d)  "I will raise it up."
(This QT reveals to me A Holy Challenge)
PRAY: To understand and Believe the Word of God.
----------------------------
'That You May Abound In Hope.'
Romans 15:13.
a)  Now may the God of Hope
b)  Fill you with all Joy and Peace in believing,
c)  That you may abound in Hope
d)  By the Power of the Holy Spirit.
(Through this Second one I desire to Abound In Hope)
PRAY: To be able to Abound In Hope.
----------------------------
Chris.
Not only our Saviour received Holy Challenges, we also face them! This is one of the reasons why we need to prayerfully read and study the Word of God. Some of these Challenges can really help our Faith to grow and mature us as True Believers. So when the Challenges come our way, we need to turn to God and not away from Him.

The Power Of The Received Word!

'The Power Of The Received Word.'

John 17:8.

a)  For I have given them the Words that You gave Me,

b)  And they have received them

c)  And have come to know in Truth

d)  That I came from You;

e)  And they have Believed that You sent Me.

(This QT teaches me about The Power Of The Received Word)

PRAY: To Receive and Believe the Word of God well.

-----------------------

'The Giver Of Eternal Life.'

John 17:2.

a)  For You granted Him authority over all people

b)  That He might give Eternal Life

c)  To all those You have given Him.

(This Second one reveals The Giver Of Eternal Life)

PRAY: To have confidence in God's Gift of Eternal Life.

-----------------------

Chris.

When we receive the Word of God into our lives it certainly has power. One of the evidences of God's Word is that it is creative. Something that every Christian Church and Christian Book should do is be creative. Receiving and Believing the Word of God is a very necessary part of our "Faith walk" with the Lord.

Receive The Blessing God Has Promised Abraham!

'Receive The Blessing God Has Promised Abraham.'

Romans 11:17.

a)  But some of these branches from Abraham's tree -

b)  Some of the People of Israel -

c)  Have been broken off.

d)  And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree,

e)  Have been grafted in.

f)  So now you also receive the Blessing

g)  God has promised Abraham and his children

h)  Sharing in the rich nourishment

i)  From the root of God's special olive tree.

(Through this QT I want to Receive The Blessing God Has Promised Abraham)

PRAY: Thanking God that we can Receive The Blessing.

----------------------

'Fatherly Pride.'

Genesis 4:17.

a)  Cain knew his wife

b)  and she conceived and bore Enoch.

c)  When he built a city

d)  He called the name after the name of his son Enoch.

(This Second one shows me healthy Fatherly Pride)

PRAY: For the fathers in our Churches to have healthy Fatherly Pride.

----------------------

Chris.

It is a wonderful Blessing to know that God has chosen us to Receive The Blessing! Many of us live in a World where cursing is more common than Blessing. This is not meant to be for us who are True Believers! God has chosen us to Receive The Blessing.

If You Have Authority - Show Us A Sign!

'If You Have Authority - Show Us A Sign.'
John 2:18.
a)  On account of this,
b)  The Jews demanded,
c)  "What sign can You show us
d)  "To prove Your Authority to do these things?
(This QT reveals a real and justifiable demand)
PRAY: Thanking God for the signs He gives to prove Himself.
---------------------
'Don't Shout It About!'
Matthew 8:4.
a)  And Jesus said to him:
b)  "See that you tell no one;
c)  "But go,
d)  "Show yourself to the priest and present the offering that Moses commanded,
e)  "As a testimony to them."
(Through this Second one I heed the instructions of Jesus)
PRAY: To obey the instructions of Jesus well.
