Judges 1:1.
a) After the death of Joshua,
b) The Israelites asked the Lord:
c) "Who of us
d) "Is to go up first
e) "To fight against the Canaanites?"

Numbers 27:21.
a) And he shall stand before Eleazar, the Priest,
b) Whom he shall consult in the judgment of Urim before the Lord
c) At his word they shall go out,
d) And a his word they shall come in,
e) Both he and all the sons of Israel with him,
f) Even all the congregation.

Even the Israelites of the Old Testament, when they were in good spiritual condition, had learned to ask and trust the Lord. This is am important lesson for us today! We need to ask and trust the Lord when it is necessary.
