Judah!

Judah.

e)  Genesis 38:11. Had an obedient daughter-in-law.
f)  Numbers 1:27. Became the father of a tribe of many people.

m)  1 Kings 4:25. Lived in safety when Solomon was king.
n)  1 Kings 12:20. Were faithful to the House of David.
o)  1 Kings 14:22. They did what was evil in the sight of the Lord.
p)  1 Kings 22:10. Was falsely entertained by false 'prophets'.

w)  2 Chronicles 20:27. They returned to Jerusalem with Joy.
x)  2 Chronicles 20:35. They compromised with a wicked king of Israel.
y)  2 Chronicles 22:10. Because of their compromise, the entire family was destroyed by Athaliah.
z)  2 Chronicles 24:5. Their spiritual and political leaders were reluctantly obedient.
(This QT reveals to me that the men of Judah had no idea what was the meaning of the words: faithful husband)
-----------
'Jesus Truly Agonised In Prayer.'
Luke 22:44.
a)  Christ was in agony.
b)  He Prayed more earnestly.
c)  His sweat became like great drops of blood.
d)  Blood that was falling down to the ground.
(This Second one reminds me that Jesus Truly Agonised In Prayer)
-----------
Chris.
Judah was falsely entertained by false 'prophets'. This became a part of the reason for their crisis and tragedy. The people of Judah could have had a more Blessed and Prosperous Life in God. That was God's intention for them. Because of their negligence they missed out so much from the Blessing of the Lord. We need to guard against negligence and compromise.

Fasting!

'Fasting.'

f)  Joel 2:12. Helps us to turn to God with all of our heart.
g)  Matthew 6:16 & 18. Should not be done before other people - it is private, only before God.
h)  Matthew 17:21. Sometimes accompanies Ministry.
i)  Acts 14:23. Elders of the Church fast before making an important decision.
(This QT teaches me some important parts about Fasting)
----------
'For The Forgiveness Of Sins.'
Matthew 26:27-28.
a)  Jesus took the cup.
b)  He gave thanks for it.
c)  He gave it to the Disciples.
d)  He told all of them to drink from it.
e)  He reminded them about the Blood of the New Covenant.
f)  His Blood was shed for many people.
g)  For the Forgiveness of sins.
(This Second covers the practicality of the Holy Communion Cup)
----------
Chris.
One of the things that may initially help us to turn to God is Fasting. We are told that fasting helps us to turn to God with all of our heart. It is correct to fast before we make an important decision but there is more to fasting than that. We humble our soul with fasting, it means our mind, our will and our emotion. There are times when a Church is called to fast but, mostly, fasting is something private that we do before God.

The Fat Amongst The Sleek!

'The Fat Amongst The Sleek.'
Jeremiah 5:26-29.
a)  Jeremiah 5:26. Wicked men are found amongst God's People.

4-They do not plead the cause of the orphan that they may prosper.
5-Do not defend the rights of the poor.
k)  Jeremiah 5:29. 'Shall I not punish these people?' Declares the Lord.
l)  Jeremiah 5:29. 'On a Nation such as this, shall I not avenge Myself?'
(This QT causes me to Pray for both the fat and the sleek: 'The Fat Amongst The Sleek.')
---------
'He Wept Over It.'
Luke 19:41.
a)  When Christ.
b)  Approached Jerusalem.
c)  He saw the City.
d)  He wept.
e)  Over it.
(This Second one reveals the Heart of Jesus for most cities today: He Wept For It)
---------
Chris.
The wicked are lying in wait. Even they are lying in wait for God's People. They do this so that they can prosper. This is why the people of God need protection. These wicked people obtain riches by unjust means. They put pressure on the people of God to unjustly obtain riches from them. God's People are simple, humble and pure, and their leaders should be the same. People who amass wealth by unjust means will never be blessed, and, many times their plans fail.

'Jesus Wept.'
John 11:35.
a)  For me, this verse is so simple and lovely.
b)  This is the shortest verse in the Bible.
c)  For those people who were standing around the mouth of Lazarus' tomb.
d)  They witnessed the Love of Jesus.
e)  He wept for Lazarus in the tomb.
f)  It was not the end.
g)  Jesus resurrected Lazarus.
(Through this Second one I find an expression of the Compassion of Jesus: Jesus Wept)
--------
Chris.
Jesus wept! This short verse reveals to us the Compassion of Jesus Christ, and this Compassion was not passive. This time, at the mouth of the cave-tomb where the body of Lazarus had been placed, Jesus did something very amazing, He raised Lazarus from the dead. I have heard people give several reasons as to why Jesus Wept. For me, it is simply sufficient that He wept, He loved Lazarus and his family.

The Word Of Our God!

'The Word Of Our God.'
Isaiah 40:8.
a)  The grass dries up.
b)  The flowers wither.

f)  Jesus was despised.
g)  Jesus was considered as insignificant.
(This Second one reveals to me The Man Of Sorrows)
-----------
Chris.
The Man of Sorrows is also our Saviour. The Man of Sorrows is our Redeemer, Who redeems our lives from destruction. The Man of Sorrows is our Healer, He can heal and help us, even in difficulties and pains. When the Man of Sorrows comes into our life, He can take away our sorrows and replace them with positive emotions.

Your Sins!

'Your Sins.'

2-Be Baptised because our sins are forgiven.
3-Receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit.
f)  Acts 22:16. Our response to the Gospel Message:
1-Repent.
2-Be Baptised.
3-Call on the Name of the Lord.
g)  1 Corinthians 15:17. If Christ is not raised then our Faith is futile and we are still in our sins.
h)  James 5:16. We are to confess our sins to one another and pray for one another that we may be healed.
i)  1 John 2:12. Our sins are forgiven for His Name's sake.

k)  Isaiah 59:2. Our sins have hidden the Lord's Face from us, so that He does not hear us.
l)  Jeremiah 5:25. Have kept good from us.
(This QT gives me Grace because I know that My Sins are forgiven)
----------
'Jesus Knows The Scriptures.'
Mark 9:12.
a)  Jesus said this:
b)  Elijah certainly will come.
c)  He will come to restore all things.
d)  It is written of the Son of Man.
e)  That He should suffer many things.
f)  That He should be treated with contempt.
(Through this Second one I am sure that Jesus Knows The Scriptures)
----------
Chris.
God is so Gracious! He gives us the opportunity to respond to the Gospel Message. Our first response must be to Repent, it is impossible to experience God's Salvation if we do not Repent. Then we should acknowledge the Forgiveness of our sins by being Baptised.
Finally, here, we should Pray. If we have confidence that our sins are forgiven it is easier to Pray.

Much Needed Grace!

'Much Needed Grace.'
Revelation 22:21.
a)  The Grace.
b)  Of the Lord Jesus.
c)  Be with.
d)  God's People.
(This QT reminds me about Much Needed Grace)
---------
'Even Jesus Hungered.'
Matthew 21:18.
a)  Early in the morning.
b)  As Jesus was returning to the city.
c)  He became hungry.
(This Second one reveals some of the humanity of Jesus Christ: Even Jesus Hungered)
---------
Chris.
The last Verse in the New Testament, which is also the last Verse in the Bible, refers to Grace. Just as everyone needs Compassion. everyone needs Hope, everyone needs to have Faith in God, so also, everyone needs the Grace of God. Here in Revelation it is referred to as Much Needed Grace. Without the Grace of God there can be no free Gift of Salvation. We are saved by Grace!

Saved By Grace!

e)  Ephesians 2:9. It is not a reward for the good things that we have done.
f)  Ephesians 2:9. Lest anyone should boast.
g)  Ephesians 2:10. We are God's workmanship.
h)  Ephesians 2:10. Created in Christ Jesus.
i)  Ephesians 2:10. Prepared, by God, in advance, for us to do.
(This QT gives me more understanding of being Saved By Grace)
--------
'When The Gospel Comes To Us.'
Colossians 1:5-6.
a)  There is a Hope laid up for us in Heaven.
b)  We have previously heard the Word of Truth, the Gospel.
c)  The Gospel has come to us.
d)  It is constantly bearing fruit and increasing.
e)  It has been increasing since the Believers in Colosse heard it.
f)  The Colossians understood the Grace of God in Truth.
(This Second one Teaches me what happens When The Gospel Comes To Us)
--------
Chris.
We should not boast as True Believers. Boasting is a manifestation of pride. We know that God does not like pride at all. All that we are and have in Jesus Christ is as a result of Grace. It all begins with our being Saved by Grace. We need to study the Life of Christ in order to be able to live in the way that He wants us to.

No Fear Of The Lord!

'No Fear Of The Lord!'
Jeremiah 5:23-24.
a)  God's People had hearts that were:-
1-Defiant.
2-Rebellious.
3-Stubborn.

e)  Let us now fear the Lord our God.
f)  The Lord gives the rain.
g)  The former and the latter rain.
h)  In its season.
i)  He assures us.
j)  Of the regular weeks of harvest.
(This QT reveals to me a people who have No Fear Of The Lord)
-------
'Carefully Choose Our Path.'
Proverbs 14:12.
a)  There is a way.
b)  That seems right to a person.
c)  But its end.
d)  Is the way of death.
(Through this QT I want to Carefully Choose My Path)
-------
Chris.
Stubborn is a word that we often hear in these days, it can be regarding anybody involved in anything. The accusation comes - and it is sometimes valid - You Are Stubborn! Stubbornness is one of the first steps involved in turning away from God's Plan for our lives because if we are stubborn we have no fear of the Lord.

Come, Lord Jesus!

'Come Lord Jesus.'
Revelation 22:20.
a)  The one who testifies to these things.
b)  Says, "Surely, I am coming quickly".
c)  Amen.
d)  Even so.
e)  Come, Lord Jesus.
(Because of this QT I exclaim: Come Lord Jesus)
------
'The Gift Of Sleep.'
Matthew 8:24.
a)  Suddenly.
b)  A furious storm.
c)  Came upon the lake.
d)  The boat was covered with the waves.
e)  But Jesus was sleeping.
(Through this Second one I want to have The Gift Of Sleep)
------
With John, the writer of Revelation, I proclaim and agree with the statement: "Come Lord Jesus". Jesus Himself, in the Gospels, tells of many different signs happening on the Earth before the Lord's return. There are several theologian's opinions about the subject of the Lord's return, many books have been written. I simply want to agree with John's statement.

The Lord's Eternal Word!

The Lord's Eternal Word.'
Psalm 119:89.
a)  Forever.
b)  Oh Lord.
c)  Your Word - Your Eternal Word.
d)  Is settled.
e)  It stands firm.
f)  In Heaven.
(This QT gives me confidence in The Lord's Eternal Word)
-----
'Know The Gift God Has For You.'
John 4:10.
a)  It is good to know the Lord.
b)  It is good to know the Gifts that He is offering to us.
c)  If we really knew these things.
d)  We would ask Him.
e)  He will then give us Living Water.
(This Second one encourages me to Know The Gift God Has For Us)
-----
Chris.
The Lord's Eternal Word stands firm. It cannot be altered, it's meanings cannot be changed. The Lord's Eternal Word is Eternal. It simply cannot be changed. Anyone who attempts to change any part of God's Word is a heretic. Because of the Lord's Eternal Word we can trust the Promises of God.

These People Do Not Fear The Lord!

'These People Do Not Fear The Lord.'
Jeremiah 5:20-22.
a)  Jeremiah 5:20. This had to be a published Message.
b)  Jeremiah 5:21. The People of God needed to hear this:-
1-They were foolish.
2-They were without understanding.
3-They had eyes, but did not see.
4-They had ears, but did not hear.
c)  Jeremiah 5:22. They should be Fearing the Lord.
d)  Jeremiah 5:22. They should be trembling at the Lord's Presence.
e)  Jeremiah 5:22. God wanted His People to consider the sand at the sea shore.
f)  Jeremiah 5:22. The sand:-
1-Is a barrier that the ocean cannot pass.
2-Prevails against the tossing waves of the sea.
3-Cannot be passed over by a roaring sea.
(This QT reveals that These People Do Not Fear The Lord)
----
'Jesus Was Tired At Sychar.'
John 4:6.
a)  On His Journey.
b)  Jesus arrived at Jacob's Well in Sychar.
c)  Jesus was on a long Journey.
d)  He was heading for Galilee.
e)  He was wearied from His Journey.
f)  He sat down by the side of the well.
g)  It was the sixth hour of the day. (The hottest part)
(Through this Second one I learn that Jesus Was Tired At Sychar)
----
Chris.
The People of God needed to hear Jeremiah's Message from the Lord. At this time their spirituality was virtually non-existent. Because of their lack of Godly Spirituality they were without understanding, they had eyes but did not see, and they had ears but did not hear. Many Servants of the Lord in the Western World today face the same difficulties that Jeremiah did because the people of God do not want to heed the Word of God.

Leave It As It Is!

'Leave It As It Is.'
Revelation 22:18-19.
a)  This is for every reader of, or listener to, the Book of Revelation.
b)  We should not add to the Revelation.
c)  If we do....
d)  May God add to us the plagues that are written in the Book of Revelation.
e)  We should not take away anything from the Book of Revelation.
f)  If we do...
g)  God will take away our part from:-
1-The Book of Life.
2-The Holy City.
3-The things that are written in the Book of Revelation.
(This QT urges me to leave it as it is)
---
'A Part Of Christ's Humanity.'
Matthew 21:18.
a)  It was the morning.
b)  It was the time for Christ to head back into the City.
c)  He was hungry.
(Simply put, this Second one reveals to me A Part Of Christ's Humanity)
---
Chris.
It is unwise for us to interfere with the Book of Revelation. We need to read it as it is. We need to read through it and also to carefully study it. If we read Bible Study Books about the Book of Revelation, we need to read several, one after the other. As we read in that manner, God will give us a greater understanding.

God's Simple And Powerful Compassion!

'God's Simple And Powerful Compassion.'
Psalm 107:20.
a)  God sent His Word.
b)  And Healed them.
c)  He delivered them.
d)  From their destructions.
e)  From their pits.
(This QT reminds me about God's Simple And Powerful Compassion)
------------------------------
'Jesus' Amazing Fast.'
Matthew 4:2.
a)  Jesus Christ fasted for forty days and night.
b)  Afterward.
c)  He later became hungry.
(This Second one reminds me of Jesus' Amazing Fast)
------------------------------
Chris.
God takes delight in delivering people from their pits. People fall into, and by mistake get themselves into all kinds of pits. We can even hear people say that they are in a pit, or in the pits. In the days of the Bible, most of the times, when someone was in the pits, it was impossible for them to get themselves out. Physically it was just too difficult. In these days there are all kinds of pits that people may fall into, and again, impossible or very difficult, to get ourselves out of them. We need God's Simple and Powerful Compassion to help us.

I Will Not Finish You Off!

'I Will Not Finish You Off.'
Jeremiah 5:18-19.
a)  Even in those days.
b)  The Lord says that He will not finish off His People.
c)  When the people ask:
d)  Why has the Lord done all these things to us?
e)  Tell them that they have forsaken the Lord.
f)  They have served foreign gods in their land.
g)  So now.
h)  You will serve strangers.
i)  In a land that is not yours.
(This QT reminds me of the Lord's Mercy: I Will Not Finish You Off)
-----------------------------
'When The Fulness Of Time Had Come.'
Galatians 4:4.
a)  When the Fulness of Time had come.
b)  God sent forth His Son.
c)  Born of woman.
d)  Born under the Law.
(This Second one teaches me what happened When The Fulness Of Time Had Come)
-----------------------------
Chris.
This is one of the hardest Messages for the Servant of the Lord to speak out to the Lord's People. The Lord here asked His Servant, Jeremiah, to tell His People that they have forsaken Him (the Lord). It remains, today, an incredibly difficult Message for any Servant of the Lord to bring to the Lord's People. If God is telling His Servants to speak out this Message, then, they need to do so. Obey Him! Speak it out.

Take The Free Gift!

'Take The Free Gift.'
Revelation 22:17.
a)  The Spirit and the Bride say "come".
b)  The one that hears says "come".
c)  Let the one who is thirsty come.
d)  Whosoever will, let that person take the Water of Life freely.
(This QT encourages me to Take The Free Gift)
----------------------------
'The Lord Is With You.'
a)  Luke 1:28. The Angel told Mary.
b)  2 Samuel 7:3. Nathan the prophet told King David.
c)  2 Chronicles 15:2. The prophet told it to King Asa.
d)  Judges 6:12. Gideon was told.
(This Second one gives me Words of Assurance: The Lord Is With You)
----------------------------
Chris.
Take the Free Gift! People are always attracted by something that is "free". When the supermarket staff in some countries offer "free bites" to customers as they walk around doing their shopping, it makes the shopping experience very nice. At an event, when the refreshments are free, there will be many people who avail themselves of them. Here is the most wonderful free gift: The Water Of (Eternal) Life.

The Lord's Robe And Name!

'The Lord's Robe And Name.'
Revelation 19:13.
a)  The Lord wore a robe dipped in blood.
b)  His Title was the Word of God.
c)  Isaiah 63:1-3. The Lord has great strength. The Blood is evidence of it. He has the Power to save us.
(This QT reveals the strength of The Lord's Robe And Name)
---------------------------
'Joseph's Simple Obedience.'
Matthew 1:18-25.
a)  Matthew 1:18. Joseph was engaged to be married to Mary.
b)  Matthew 1:18. Before the marriage took place.
c)  Matthew 1:18. Whilst Mary was still a virgin.
d)  Matthew 1:18. Mary was found to be with Child of the Holy Spirit.
e)  Matthew 1:19. Simple Joseph, her husband was a just man.
f)  Matthew 1:19. He was unwilling to put Mary to shame.
g)  Matthew 1:19. He resolved to quietly send Mary away.
h)  Matthew 1:20-21. God's Intervention:-
1-Matthew 1:20. While Joseph was considering this an Angel appeared to him in a dream.
2-Matthew 1:20. The Angel told Joseph not to fear about taking Mary as his wife.
3-Matthew 1:20. The Child within Mary was conceived by the Holy Spirit.
4-Matthew 1:21. Mary was to have a Son.
5-Matthew 1:21. His Name was to be called Jesus.
6-Matthew 1:21. He will Save His People from their sins.
i)  Matthew 1:22. All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the Prophet.
j)  Matthew 1:23. Look! The Virgin will conceive a Child.
k)  Matthew 1:23. You shall call His Name Emmanuel. (Emmanuel means "God With Us")
l)  Matthew 1:24. When Joseph woke up he did as the Angel commanded him.
m)  Matthew 1:24. Joseph took Mary as his wife.
n)  Matthew 1:25. Joseph had no sexual relationship with Mary until her Son was born.
o)  Matthew 1:25. Joseph called the Son's Name "Jesus".
(This Second one teaches me of Joseph's Simple Obedience)
---------------------------
Chris.
Joseph's simple obedience is a great lesson to all of us. Pride or shame did not prevail, the Word of the Lord prevailed. Because of pride or shame Joseph could have hidden Mary and done something bad to the Child. This did not happen because Joseph considered his dream and the Angel's Instructions in the dream. I need, and we all need, simply to trust and obey the Lord. Then His Will can be done and His Name Glorified.

When God's People Reject His Way!

'When God's People Reject His Way.'
Jeremiah 5:15-17.
a)  Jeremiah 5:15. God brings a Nation against them from afar.
b)  Jeremiah 5:15. This Nation is:-
1-Mighty.
2-Ancient.
3-Of language that is difficult to understand.
c)  Jeremiah 5:16. Their arrow quivers are like open graves.
d)  Jeremiah 5:16. They are all mighty warriors.
e)  Jeremiah 5:17. They will devour:-
1-Harvest.
2-Food.
3-Sons.
4-Daughters.
5-Flocks.
6-Cattle.
7-Grape vines.
8-Fig trees.
f)  Jeremiah 5:17. With swords they will destroy the fortified cities that God's People trust in.
(This QT teaches me what happens When God's People Reject His Way)
--------------------------
'Only One.'
1 Timothy 2:5.
a)  There is One God.
b)  There is One Mediator between God and men.
c)  The man Christ Jesus.
(This Second one reminds me that There Is Only One)
--------------------------
Chris.
God brought a Nation against His People from afar. God did it before and He can do it again. God is still in control of the Nations and no Nation is secure without God, especially at times when the Nation is under threat from others. The Nations need God! Without God, every Nation in the World is in danger.

(This QT Reveals to me The Bright And Morning Star)
-------------------------
'Consider The Son Of Man.'
Mark 9:12.
a)  Jesus was answering His inquisitive Disciples.
b)  He told them that Elijah would come to get everything ready.
c)  Elijah would restore all things.
d)  He told them that He Himself - the Son of Man:-
1-Must suffer many things.
2-Must suffer terribly.
3-Will be set at nought.
4-Will be rejected.
(This Second one calls me to Consider The Son Of Man)
-------------------------
Chris.
Jesus is the Eternal Root of David. Revelation tells us that it is the Root of David that prevails and opens the Book of Life in Heaven. Jesus also sent His Angel to the Churches to testify that He is the Root of David. It is clear in the Scripture that Jesus Christ and David both figure with great importance in the Scriptures, historically, in the present and in the future.

Chris.
Jesus Christ is the Word of Life. He is the Living Word. He is the Eternal Word Who is and Who always has been and will be. John wrote that: "In the Beginning was the Word". We have no doubt that Jesus is, until today, the Living Word of God. He is the Word that we consult first. If we are not sure about something, ask Jesus in Prayer and Read the Bible.

'The Humble Jesus.'
Philippians 2:7-8.
a)  Jesus emptied Himself.
b)  He did it by:-
1-Taking on the form of a slave.
2-Looking like other men.
3-Sharing in human nature.

c)  Even He went through death on the Cross.
(This Second one teaches me about The Humble Jesus)
--------------------
Chris.
The Lord's People, in Jeremiah's time, were like wood. When His People are like wood, they are totally unable to follow or serve Him. It also means that they are in danger because the Lord's Words can burn them up. If we are the Lord's People we need to have soft hearts and pure hearts, then we can follow the Good Example of Jesus Christ and do His Will well.

(This Second one reminds me that The Word Became Flesh)
--------------------------
Chris.
An idol is anything or anyone that takes God's Place in our lives. The idol can hinder our lives, even if we are Christian people. When God's Place is given to something or someone else, it becomes an idol. I am not going to mention anything here that could be an idol to us because we know when we have idols in our lives. It simply is not correct for people from a non-idolatrous culture to point an accusing finger at people who obviously worship idols as a part of their religion and accuse them of being idolaters. There can be idolaters in every culture, nature and church!
