‘Remember The Earlier Days.’
Hebrews 10:32-34.
a)
Hebrews 10:32.
We are always to remember the earlier days. (These are days which shape our
Faith)
b)
Hebrews 10:32;
Philippians 1:29-30. In those earlier days the Hebrew Believers, after they had
been enlightened, endured a hard struggle with sufferings.
c)
Hebrews 10:33.
Sometimes they were:-
1-
Publicly exposed to reproaches.
2-
Publicly exposed to afflictions.
3-
1 Thessalonians 2:14. Companions of other people who
were treated in the same way.
d)
Hebrews 10:34. The Hebrew Believers:-
1-
Had compassion on and sympathy with the other
prisoners.
2-
Accepted with Joy the confiscation of their
possessions.
3-
Knew that they had a better and enduring possession.
(Through
this QT I want to remember the lessons I learned: Remember The Earlier Days)
------------
‘They
Were Foolish.’
Matthew
25:3.
a)
These people
were foolish.
b)
They took their
oil lamps.
c)
They did not
take oil for the lamps with them.
(This
Second one is simply put: They Were Foolish, I do not want to be foolish)
Until
today there are many Nations where True Believers are publicly exposed to
reproaches. I can even hear this kind of talk coming from people in high places
in the Government of my country. When we are reproached for the Name of Christ,
even though we may have done nothing to earn that reproach, we need to come to
the Lord to strengthen us and not to become bitter.
