Men And Women In Church Activities!

‘Men And Women In Church Activities.’
1 Timothy 2:8-12.
a)  1 Timothy 2:8. Men should pray, and not just leave it to women. They should pray:-
1- With Holiness.
2- Without anger.
3- Without argument.
b)  1 Timothy 2:9. Women in Ministry should:-
1- Dress modestly.
2- Dress decently.
3- Dress with good sense.
4- Not have elaborate hairstyles and use a lot of gold and pearls.
5- Not try to impress with expensive apparel.
c)  1 Timothy 2:10. Women who Worship God should be eager to do good works.
d)  1 Timothy 2:11. Women should learn about Bible and Ministry quietly.
e)  1 Timothy 2:12. The woman’s place in Church needs to be a place of prayerful humility. Their sharing should never be abrasive or in pride of gender. Their sharing should be distinctly feminine and not usurping the male leadership and authority in the Church.
(This QT teaches me about Men And Women In Church Activities)
 ------
‘Do Not Touch But Say.’
John 20:17.
a)  Jesus told Mary that she was not to cling to Him or touch Him.
b)  He had not yet ascended to His Father.
c)  Mary was to go to His Brothers with a Message.
d)  The Message was that He was ascending to His Father and their Father and to His God and their God.
(This Second one encourages me to speak out the Words of Jesus Christ: Do Not Touch But Say)
 ------
Chris.
Women in Bible days were to dress with good sense. Sometimes I hear today about men with lustful eyes. It is often the way that women dress that causes men to have lustful eyes. When I think of my Muslim, Hindu and Sikh friends whose womenfolk dress so modestly, also the Anglican and Roman Catholic nuns, no man would look at them with lustful eyes because they are so carefully dressed. A part (not the whole) of the problem for men in Church with lustful eyes is ladies who dress inappropriately.

Instruction!

‘Instruction.’
a)   Ecclesiastes 4:13. Is something that needs to be received.
b)   Deuteronomy 31:11-12. Needs to be given to the gathered Body of God’s People.
c)   Proverbs 19:20. Gives us Wisdom.
d)   Proverbs 23:12. We need to commit ourselves to receiving it.
e)   Daniel 11:33. Wise leaders give it.
f)   Ephesians 6:4. Children need instruction in the Lord’s Ways from their fathers.
g)   1 Timothy 1:5. Godly instruction that is received well. We make our life:-
1-  Filled with Love that comes from a pure heart.
2-  To have a clear conscience.
3-  A life of genuine Faith.
(Through this QT I see the Glory of Instruction)
 ------
‘His Holy Place.’
a)   Psalm 24:3. Is a place that only people made Holy can stand in.
b)   Exodus 28:29. Is a place where our emotional heart needs to be covered.
c)   Exodus 28:43. Is a place of Ministry to the Lord.
d)   Exodus 35:19. To serve there we need to be in holiness.
e)   Leviticus 16:24. Is a place of washing in the Presence of the Lord.
f)   Isaiah 57:15. The Lord dwells there.
g)   Hebrews 9:12. Jesus made the Way possible for us to go there.
(Through this Second one I long to dwell more in His Holy Place)
 ------
Chris.
Wise Leaders give Instruction. The pattern is clearly seen in the New Testament starting with Jesus Christ. Jesus gave His Disciples Instruction which they passed on to the New Testament Church. This part of Disciple Making never grows stale. It is vitally important.

Called To Be Saints!

Called To Be Saints.’
Romans 1:6-7.
a)   The People who are called to be Saints are Called by Jesus Christ.
b)   The people who are called to be Saints are Beloved of God.
c)   Every place that has a Biblical Church has people in that place who are called to be Saints.
d)   Grace from God our Father belongs to the Saints.
e)   Peace from God our Father belongs to the Saints.
(This QT teaches me about the Blessings and reality of being Called To Be A Saint)
-----
‘Real Love In Absentia.’
Philippians 1:8.
a)   God is our record and Witness.
b)   How deeply we miss the people that we are absent from.
c)   How greatly we long after our friends when we are away from them.
d)   This is rooted in the affection of Christ Jesus.
(This Second defines Real Love In Absentia from a True Believer’s view)
 -----
Chris.
Grace from God our Father belongs to the Saints. This is the amazing factor that makes our Faith different from every other Religion, True Believers in the Lord depend upon Grace from God our Father. We realise that we can no longer stand without the Grace of God. I realise that without God’s Grace I cannot stand. For many years my life has been environmentally difficult. I sometimes wanted to give up. I sometimes questioned my calling and the reality of a religion that’s called “Christianity”. God, however, gave me Grace to endure, go through and come out victoriously many times. Thank you God.

The Truth About Apostle Paul's Appointment!

‘The Truth About Apostle Paul’s Appointment.’
1 Timothy 2:7.
a)   Apostle Paul was appointed by the Lord for the sake of the Gospel.
b)   Apostle Paul was writing the Truth, he was not lying.
c)   He was appointed to be:-
1-A Preacher.
2-An Apostle.
3-A Teacher of the Gentiles in Faith and Truth.
(Through this QT I can clearly see The Truth About Apostle Paul’s Appointment)
 -------
‘Godly Wisdom.’
James 3:17.
a)   Comes from Above.
b)   Its source is in Heaven.
c)   It is:-
1-  Pure.
2-  Peace Loving.
3-  Gentle.
4-  Willing to yield.
5-  Full of compassion.
6-  Full of good fruit.
7-  Without a trace of partiality.
8-  Without a trace of hypocrisy.
(Through this Second one I want to have Godly Wisdom)
 -------
Chris.
Apostle Paul was appointed to be a Preacher. This appointment is a Divine Appointment. It means that He was appointed by God. This is a fundamental and basic issue. All Preachers must be God appointed, not just in a general way in their calling from God but also in a specific way every time that they preach. If a Preacher has no assurance of their appointment to Preach they should refrain from Preaching.

Do It Together!

‘Do It Together.’
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12.
a)  Ecclesiastes 4:9. Two are better than one, they will have a good reward for their efforts and work.
b)  Ecclesiastes 4:10. If one person has a fall the other person can help them up. The person who is by themselves will be unhappy because there is no one to help.
c)  Ecclesiastes 4:11. If two people are sleeping together they can keep each other warm. But if a person is by themselves there is no one.
d)  Ecclesiastes 4:12. If two people are attacked by another person they will be safe.
e)  Ecclesiastes 4:13. A group of three people is not easily broken.
(This QT urges me, an independent, to Do It Together)
------
‘Our New Birth.’
a)  1 Peter 1:23. Is from an Eternal seed, through the Word of the Living and Unchanging God.
b)  James 1:17. Is a Gift from Heaven.
c)  John 3:3. Is essential if we are going to see the Kingdom of God.
d)  John 3:7. Jesus said that we must be born again.
(Through this Second one I understand the reality of My New Birth)
------
Chris.
If two people sleep together in fellowship, I do not mean immorality, it is one of the closest ways of association. Good friends may sleep together and share a room together sometimes. This is quite acceptable in some cultures and has no sexual or immoral meanings. Of course married people sleep together and consummate their marriage. “Sleeping together” as a description of an immoral relationship is a poor definition.

The Head Of His Household!

‘The Head Of His Household.’
Hebrews 3:6.
a)  Christ was and is Faithful as the Head of His Household. (The Household of Faith)
b)  We are His Household.
c)  We need to:-
1- Hold on to courage.
2- Hold on to confidence of our Hope.
3- Hold fast to our freedom of speech.
(This QT turns my heart and thoughts toward Christ The Head Of His Household)
 -----
‘Jesus’ Clear Message To Nicodemus.’
John 3:3-7.
a)  John 3:3. Unless someone is Born Again they cannot see the Kingdom of God.
b)  John 3:4. Nicodemus could not understand.
c)  John 3:5. Jesus spoke with assurance to Nicodemus:-
1-A person must be born of water. (Natural Birth)
2-A person must be born of the Holy Spirit. (Spiritual Birth)
3-Then they can enter the Kingdom of God.
d)  John 3:6. Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit.
e)  John 3:7. Nicodemus was not to be amazed that Jesus was telling him that he needed to be Born Again.
(This Second one tells me of Jesus’ Clear Message To Nicodemus)
 -----
Chris.
If we belong to Jesus we do not have to hold on to our Salvation in fear of losing it that is a frightening and controlling heresy. What we do have to hold on to is our courage. There are many things in life that would cause us to feel afraid. That is normal life in a sinful World system. What we need to hold on to is our courage, then we will not be afraid.

One God And One Mediator!

‘One God And One Mediator.’
1 Timothy 2:5-6.
a)  Deuteronomy 6:4. There is One God.
b)  There is One Mediator between God and humanity.
c)  Jesus Christ in His Humanity.
d)  Matthew 20:28; Galatians 1:4. He gave Himself for us.
e)  A Ransom for all people.
f)  A Testimony at the proper time.
(Through this QT I know that there is One God And One Mediator)
 ----
‘Jesus Has Come.’
John 10:10.
a)  The thief comes to:-
1- Steal.
2- Kill.
3- Destroy.
b)  Jesus came.
c)  To give Life to people.
d)  And that they might have that Light in abundance.
(In this Second one I have confidence that already Jesus Has Come)
----
Chris.
Testimony must always be given at the proper time. Jesus is our Prime Example of this because He came at the proper time and I am sure that He Will come again at the proper time. We need to learn
From Jesus and His Timing which is always perfect. The habit of some “Church people” in trying to “give their testimony” all the time can irritate the hearers rather than Save them. Let us learn from Jesus about the perfect Timing.

Why Bother To Struggle?

‘Why Bother To Struggle?’
Ecclesiastes 4:7-8.
a)   The vain situation of solitary individuals.
b)   These individuals have no families.
c)   They are working so hard.
d)   Their eyes are greedy for more riches, they are never satisfied.
e)   Then they think about what they do.
f)   They toil and deprive themselves of pleasure.
g)   It is all vanity and an unhappy business.
(This QT makes me think: Why Bother To Struggle?)
----------------
‘Jesus Christ Is The Way To The Father.’
John 14:6.
a)   Jesus said that He is the Way.
b)   Jesus said that He is the Truth.
c)   Jesus said that He is the Life.
d)   No one comes to the Father but by Him.
(This Second one reminds me that Jesus Christ Is The Way To The Father)
----------------
Chris.
Thinking about what we do is important. Thinking about what we do helps us to do the correct thing. People who do not think about what they do cause other people to be hurt or frustrated, that is not good.
We should think about what we do, where we go and how we do it.

Jesus Christ In His Human Form!

‘Jesus Christ In His Human Form.’
Philippians 2:8.
a)   He came to this Earth in human form, born of Mary.
b)   He humbled Himself.
c)   He became obedient unto death.
d)   Even the shameful death on the Cross.
(Through this QT I am amazed by the Grace of God: Jesus Christ In His Human Form)
 ---------------
‘The Discerning And Wise Person.’
Proverbs 15:24.
a)   For the Discerning and Wise person.
b)   Their path of life leads upward.
c)   They will avoid Sheol beneath.
(Through this Second one I desire to follow the path of The Discerning And Wise Person)
---------------
Chris.
We should, as True Believers, be frequently amazed at and by the Grace of God. I, personally, am saddened by the way that some Church people take the Grace of God for granted. I am sure that the reason for that is that they do not understand the Grace of God. Even if we only begin to understand the Grace of God we will be so appreciative of what He has done for us. A major life changing teaching that surely can change people’s lives if it is taught Biblically is the Grace of God.

Intercession And Salvation!

‘Intercession And Salvation.’
1 Timothy 2:1-4.
a)   1 Timothy 2:1. For everyone we should be:-
1-  Making petitions.
2-  Praying.
3-  Interceding.
4-  Thanksgiving.
b)   1 Timothy 2:2. We should be doing this for Kings and all those people who are in Authority. So that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.
c)   1 Timothy 2:3. This is good and pleasing to God our Saviour.
d)   1 Timothy 2:4. God wants everyone to be Saved and to come to the Knowledge of the Truth.
(This QT teaches me how Intercession And Salvation are linked)
------------------
‘A Universal Appointment.’
Hebrews 9:27.
a)   It is appointed.
b)   For people to die once.
c)   After this.
d)   The Judgment.
(This Second one reminds me that all people, including me, have A Universal Appointment)

Chris.
Sometimes, in our Prayer life we need to making petitions on behalf of other people as well as our selves. We always need to be careful that our Prayer life is not restricted to making petitions, if it is limited in that way we certainly will not grow in our prayer life, we will shrivel and just become so spiritually dry and religious. May our Prayer life be prayed out to the full.

The Christian Life!

'The Christian Life.' a)  Deuteronomy 7:11. Keep the Word of  God. b)  Deuteronomy  7:12. Listen to the Word of God. c)  Deuteronomy...
