c)  The latter Church wished to be remembered by the former one.

John 13:22.
a)  Jesus had spoken about His betrayal by one of the Disciples.
b)  Then the Disciples began to look at each other.
c)  The Disciples did not know who Jesus was speaking about.
d)  They were puzzled.
(This Second one proves to me that They Really Didn't Know)

Jesus gave a very clear Message to His Disciples at this time about His betrayal. They really did not know who Jesus was speaking about. They already knew that every Word that Jesus spoke was the Truth, so this meant that these Words would come to pass. I think that the Disciples must have been quite shaken and become somewhat nervous because of these Words of Jesus. His Words came to pass through Judas Iscariot.

A Promise Of The Lord Of Hosts!

Isaiah 51:14-15.
a)  The one in chains will soon be set free.
b)  The one in chains will not die in prison.
c)  The one in chains will always have enough bread.
d)  For Jehovah is the Lord our God.

f)  His Name is Jehovah, The Lord Of Hosts.

Jehovah stirs up the sea and the waves roar. When the seas are not smooth and the ships and boats are being rocked by big waves it is usually the time when sailors and their captains Pray. They Pray because they know that these storms are Created by God. Many of them Pray to the True and Living God, but some trust in their ship's idols. Some of them turn from the idols to God. It is Jehovah that stirs up the sea and the waves roar.

a)  We are all Members of the Body of Christ.
b)  We are all a part of the Body of Christ.
c)  We are Members of His:-
1-Body.

The Church that is really a Church is Christ's Church. He is the Head of the Church. Sometimes we may call the Church "my church" or "our church" and that is quite understandable, especially if we know in our hearts that it is really Christ's Church. It is when we forget that the True Church belongs to Christ that unnecessary problems enter in.

To Receive Fullness Of Joy!

2 John 1:12.
a)  Father John had many things to write to the Church that he loved.
b)  But to him, writing a letter would be second best.
c)  That is why he wanted to visit them.
d)  He wanted to speak to them face to face.
e)  Then their Joy will be full.

Our Joy will be full when our Spiritual fathers desire to have, and then make the effort to have fellowship with us. In the New Testament we can see God Himself revealed as our Heavenly Father and we read of 'spiritual fathers' like John, who cared for the Churches. I cannot find individuals claiming to be fathers of individuals in the New Testament.

When We Live In Fear We Forget God!

Isaiah 51:13.
a)  When we forget the Lord.
b)  We forget the One Who stretched out the heavens.
c)  We forget the One who laid the foundations of the Earth.
d)  We live in fear continually every day.
e)  The oppressor is preparing to destroy us.
f)  The enemy is furious.
(This QT reminds me that When I Live In Fear I Forget God)

The oppressor is preparing to destroy us and one of the main destructive weapons he uses is the weapon of fear. The Bible teaches us much about fear. If we receive this Teaching into our hearts and minds then our fear can be defeated and go away. The Perfect Love of God removes all fear, this is both a fact and a reality.

The Lord's Practical Love For The Church!

a)  He NEVER hates His Church.
b)  He Nourishes His Church.
c)  He Cherishes His Church.

The Lord Jesus Loves His Church. This is a Truth that every True Church needs to hold on to and value very much. Sometimes we become exhuberant in our Love for the Church whilst having an incorrect concept of what the Church is. This can cause all kinds of misunderstandings and hurts. The Church primarily is people of whom Jesus is the Head.

Be Careful Who We Share With!

'Be Careful Who We Share With.'
2 John 1:11.
a)  If we greet a 'christian' deceiver.
b)  It is the same as wishing that person well.
c)  The reality is that we share in the evil deeds of this person.
(This QT urges me to Be Careful Who I Share With)

Luke 24:32.
a)  The Disciples were positively speaking to each other.
b)  Jesus had talked with them on the road.
c)  Jesus had opened the Scriptures to them.
d)  Because of what Jesus did on that road, the hearts of the Disciples burned within them.
(Through this Second one I desire a similar experience When Jesus Makes The Word Alive To Me)

When Jesus makes the Word alive to us it is a very wonderful and spiritually stimulating experience. The Words of Jesus Christ are Life-giving Words. It does not really matter to much how He speaks to us, we know when He has spoken to us and some kind of Blessing comes into our life because of the encounter with the Life-giving Words from Jesus. It may even be His Correction of our lives, but it is still a Blessing.

No Need For Fear Of Man!

Isaiah 51:12.
a)  The Lord is the One Who Comforts His People.
b)  His People have no need to be afraid of man who dies.
c)  Or the son of man who is made like grass.

Those people who Fear the Lord are people that are indicated in the Word of God as being a Special and Chosen People. The Teaching of the Scripture is clear... the Fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom...the Fear of the Lord produces an honest life...the Fear of the Lord is to be lived out with Integrity and a Blameless Heart...the Fear of the Lord is True Wisdom...the Fear of the Lord needs to be taught to children.

A Husband's Love!

a)  Husbands are supposed to love their wives as they do their own bodies.
b)  We can see from this clearly that if a husband does not love his own body, then how can he love his wife?
c)  If a husband loves his wife.
d)  This means that he also loves himself.

In a healthy marriage a husband not only loves his wife but he also loves himself in an emotionally healthy way. Love is not only an emotional word, it is also a very practical one. When a husband's character or life is dysfunctional, that also affects his family life. Today there are many sensible and Blessed activities for the family in the Churches, this can only do good.

Doctrine!

'Doctrine.'
a)  2 John 1:10. The Doctrine of Christ is of paramount importance.
b)  Job 11:4. Our Doctrine should be pure.
c)  Proverbs 4:2. Good Doctrine shared with other people is a Gift.
d)  Isaiah 29:24. Counteracts complaining.
e)  Mark 1:27. Jesus Christ introduced new Doctrine.
f)  John 7:16. The Doctrine and Teaching of Jesus Christ came from God the Father.
g)  Acts 2:42. Should be continued in.
h)  1 Timothy 1:3. Gospel Doctrine is exclusive.
i)  1 Timothy 4:13 & 16. Servants of the Lord should give attention to it.
j)  1 Timothy 6:3. The Teaching of Doctrine should lead us to live Godly lives.
k)  2 Timothy 3:10. We should carefully follow the doctrine of the man of God.

a)  The Prophet Zephaniah is writing about the remnant of Israel.

f)  No one shall make them afraid.

In the Teaching Ministry of the Church, in all of its various expressions, the Doctrine of Christ is of paramount importance. If the Church is going to be healthy then this Doctrine must be taught. It is the core of a balanced, wholesome and growing Church. (Growing in every way). When we fully understand this importance of the Doctrine of Christ then we shall surely Glorify Him.

The Ransomed Of The Lord!

a)  They shall return to Zion.
b)  They shall come to Zion with singing.
c)  They will have Everlasting Joy on their heads.

The Ransomed of the Lord shall obtain gladness. Gladness is a part of the Inheritance for every True Believer. To be glad means that the glad person is pleased and happy. This Gladness comes to the Ransomed of the Lord in a special way. This way does not depend on other people or circumstances - it comes by the Holy Spirit.

A Church that has no spot is not a perfect Church but it is in the process of becoming a Glorious Church. I have had the privilege of visiting many Churches and the vast majority of these Churches are in the process of becoming Glorious. I pray that many Churches in these days will be in this process of becoming Glorious Churches.

b)  And does not abide in the Doctrine of Christ.

If we abide in the Doctrine of Christ then we abide in a Faith enhancing position. The Doctrine of Christ surely brings wholeness into our lives. To read and to study about the Doctrine of Christ is a very worthwhile practice. It is good, of course, to read through the entirety of the Holy Scriptures, I recommend that to everybody. In addition to this we should concentrate on the Doctrine of Christ.

God has done so many Mighty Acts in the past. We can look into the Bible and see His Mighty Acts there. We can also read the History Books and see that, through the ages God has done many Mighty Acts. We should not only be in awe of His Mighty Acts, we should also be thanking Him for them.

Christ gave His Life for the Church. So often we think of and we remember that Christ gave His Life for us but this statement is different. Christ gave His Life for the Church. Whatever happens in the Church today, whether positive or negative, should happen in the Light of Christ's Sacrifice.

a)  We should watch out and look to ourselves.
b)  That we do not lose the things that we have worked for.

True Neighbourliness is part of our Testimony as a True Believer. A True Neighbour never seeks to gain any advantage over their neighbour. In ordinary circumstances being a neighbour is as important as being a Church member, if not more! Neighbourliness is not some kind of forced action that we have to take. True Neighbourliness surely involves intercessory prayer, cooperation (where possible), help and encouragement. A True Neighbour does not preach with words to their neighbour first, rather they live the Gospel first.

Righteous People Do Not Live In Fear!

'Righteous People Do Not Live In Fear.'
Isaiah 51:7-8.
a)  The Lord wants the people who know what is correct to hear Him.
b)  These people have taken the Lord's Instructions into their hearts.
c)  These people should not fear the reproach of men.
d)  These people should not be terrified by the insults of others.
e)  For those people who are against God's People: the moth will eat them up as a garment and the worm will devour them like wool.
f)  God's Righteousness will be forever.
g)  God's Salvation will last through all generations.
(This QT reminds me that Righteous People Do Not Live In Fear)

God will deal with those people who are against His People in His Way. We should never have to struggle with hatred going on in our hearts. Just as God said to Isaiah, so He also says to us, we are to let Him deal with those who oppose us in His Way. Our God is omniscient, our Prayers do not enlighten Him, they should bring us closer to Him.

Sisters, Before Marriage, Think And Pray!

Ephesians 5:22-24.
a)  Ephesians 5:22. A wife is to be submissive to her husband, in the same way as she is submissive to the Lord. (It is difficult for a sister to get married well if she is not submitted to the Lord)
b)  Ephesians 5:23. The Headship style of Christ for the Church should be the same style that the husband should emulate.
c)  Ephesians 5:23. Christ is the Saviour of the Body. The husband should have a positive influence in his family.
d)  Ephesians 5:24. The Church should be subject to Christ.
e)  Ephesians 5:24. Wives should be able to submit to their husbands in everything.

There is always a pattern for us to follow in all things and in all activities within the Kingdom of God. The pattern should be a Biblical one. This principle covers every part of our lives. Here we have a clear picture of the Love of God for the Church through Jesus Christ, He is the Head of the Church and it gives a beautiful pattern for husbands and future husbands.

Beware Of Deceivers!

2 John 1:7.
a)  Many deceivers have gone out into the World.
b)  They do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh.
c)  This is:-
1-A Deceiver.
2-An Anti-Christ.
3-A False Teacher.
4-An enemy of Christ.
(This QT stirs me to Beware Of Deceivers)

a)  Humanity had become dangerously proud.

Anti-Christ is not just one figure that is somewhat of a mystery in identifying in this generation, Anti-Christ is also a spirit that indwells false and pseudo-Christian people. The main action of these Anti-Christs is to deceive True Believers and draw them away from the Truth, Who is the Lord Himself, and also from the Word of God. We shall always take heed because the Anti-Christs may also perform all kinds of 'spiritual activities'.

God's Eternal Salvation And Righteousness!

'God's Eternal Salvation And Righteousness.'
Isaiah 51:6.
a)  We can look up to the Heavens above.
b)  We can look on the Earth beneath.
c)  The Heavens will vanish away like smoke.
d)  The Earth will become useless like old clothes.
e)  Those who dwell in the Earth shall die in like manner.
f)  The Lord's Salvation will be forever.
g)  The Lord's Righteousness shall not be abolished.
h)  The Lord's Goodness will never end.
(This QT reveals to me God's Eternal Salvation And Righteousness)

Those people who dwell on the Earth shall die in like manner, this is what the Lord declares. The fact is that, if we are True Believers, we have Eternal Life. We can read many different things about the "End Times" in the Bible. There is one sure thing. We should be living in the Light of Eternity and being ready for Eternity.
