The Freeing And Active Ministry Of Jesus Christ!

‘The Freeing And Active Ministry Of Jesus Christ.’
Luke 4:18.
a) He is Anointed to bring Good News to the poor people.
b) His is sent to heal broken hearted people.
c) He is sent to announce Release to the prisoners of war.
d) He is sent to give recovery of sight to the blind people. (This surely includes spiritually blind people too)
e) He is sent to send away free those people whom tyranny has crushed.
f) He is come to set burdened and battered people free.
(Through this QT I find and rejoice over The Freeing And Active Ministry Of Jesus Christ)
--------------------------
Jesus Is The Good Shepherd.’
John 10:1-10.
a) John 10:1. There are thieves and robbers who sometimes come amongst the sheep who are not shepherds at all. We should be aware of these people.
b) John 10:2. The One Who enters by the door is the Shepherd of the sheep.
c) John 10:3. The True Shepherd:-
1- Has the gatekeeper open the gate for Him.
2- Has a voice which the sheep recognise.
3- Calls His Own sheep by their names.
4- Leads His Sheep out.
d) John 10:4. The True Shepherd:-
1- Goes before His Sheep.
2- Is followed by His Sheep.
3- Has a voice that is known by His Sheep.
e) John 10:5. These sheep:-
1- Will not follow a stranger.
2- Will run away from a stranger.
3- Do not know the voice of a stranger.
f) John 10:6. Jesus taught the people this parable of the shepherd and the sheep but they were slow to understand. (This shows the peoples’ spiritually blind condition)
g) John 10:7. Jesus again clearly told the people that He is the Door of the sheep.
h) John 10:8. There was no shepherd for the people prior to Jesus Christ Who is the Good Shepherd.
i) John 10:9. Jesus Christ is the Door:-
1- If anyone enters the door by Jesus Christ. (Believes and receives the Gospel)
2- They will find safety.
3- They will go in and out.
4- They will find pasture.
j) John 10:10. The thief comes only to:-
1- Steal.
2- Kill.
3- Destroy.
k) John 10:10. Jesus Christ has come to give us Abundant Life.
(Through this Second one I know and understand that Jesus Christ Is The Good Shepherd)
--------------------------
Chris.
There is a thief and his purposes are only negative. The purposes of the thief are to steal, kill and destroy the sheep. This refers especially to New Believers, sheep that have just entered the sheepfold also it refers to young people and young adults in the Churches. People in the Churches need to understand clearly about Jesus Christ being the Good Shepherd and to follow Him.

Well Rooted True Believers!

‘Well Rooted True Believers.’
Colossians 2:6-7.
a) This applies to those people who have received Jesus Christ as Lord.
b) With the Lord Jesus Christ, in active union they are to:-
1- Walk.
2- Live.
3- Act.
c) Be rooted in the Lord Jesus Christ.
d) Be built up in the Lord Jesus Christ.
e) Be established in the Faith.
f) Keep on being taught and being teachable.
g) Abound in Thanksgiving to God.
(This QT gives me the desire to be a Well Rooted True Believer)
-------------------------
‘Healing Ministry That Glorifies The Lord.’
Acts 3:1-16.
a) Acts 3:1. Is not arranged by man. Man’s heart is set on Worship, not on “healing”.
b) Acts 3:2. The man was:-
1- An unbeliever.
2- Paralysed from birth.
3- A beggar.
c) Acts 3:3. Asked for money, not healing, from Peter and John.
d) Acts 3:4. Peter and John wanted eye contact with this man.
e) Acts 3:5. The beggar obeyed Peter because he was expecting to receive money.
f) Acts 3:6. Peter said that they had no money. Peter wanted to give him what he had. Peter told him in the Name of Jesus Christ to walk.
g) Acts 3:7. Peter helped him and raised him up on his feet immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. (That was a Miracle)
h) Acts 3:8. The beggar:-
1- Leapt up.
2- Stood.
3- Began to walk.
4- Entered with Peter and John into the Temple. (To Worship)
5- Walking.
6- Leaping.
7- Praising God.
i) Acts 3:9. All the people at the Temple saw him walking and Praising God.
j) Acts 3:10. All the people at the Temple recognised him as the beggar who used to sit at the gate.
k) Acts 3:11. He held on to Peter and John as the people came running to see what had.
l) Acts 3:12-16. Peter used the opportunity to Preach the Gospel to the people wh were there.
(This Second one shows me Healing Ministry That Glorifies The Lord)
------------------------
Chris.
God loves all people in the World, even beggars. This beggar had no expectation apart from money from the Temple worshippers. God gave to Peter a Gift of Healing for this beggar and through this God was Glorified and the Gospel was Preached at the Jewish Temple. God loves all people everywhere, the only people that Jesus expressed anger towards were religious hypocrites. The Ministry of Healing was never intended by God to be used to plant a Church or to make a Church grow. The Ministry of Healing usually brings Salvation and Healing to the lost. It may also, through the Pastors, Elders and Leaders, be ministered privately to sick Believers.

We Should Not Be Lazy!

‘We Should Not Be Lazy.’
Proverbs 26:13-16.
a) Proverbs 26:13. The lazy person imagines difficulties and so does not do their work.
b) Proverbs 26:14. The lazy person turns over and over in bed like a door swinging to and fro.
c) Proverbs 26:15. The lazy person needs to be spoon fed.
d) Proverbs 26:16. The lazy person is proud and living in disillusion.
(This QT reminds me that I Should Not Be Lazy)
------------------------
‘When A Minister Changes Location.’
Deuteronomy 18:6-8.
a) Deuteronomy 18:6. This Minister has chosen the place that the Lord has chosen for them to go to.
b) Deuteronomy 18:7. After the Minister has moved he should be free to serve just like all the other Ministers in that location.
c) Deuteronomy 18:8. This Minister who moves location may be supported by the local Believers and by their family.
(This Second one reveals to me God’s Principles When A Minister Changes Location)
------------------------
Chris.
When a door is swinging to and fro it is actually quite disturbing to the people in the room where the door is doing that. Lazy people also disturb other people in that they do not get things done. They may talk, walk around, sit down, pray, laugh and make jokes but they do not get things done

The Wisdom That Is From Above!

‘The Wisdom That Is From Above.’
James 3:17.
a) Is Pure.
b) Is Peace loving.
c) Is Gentle.
d) Is Compliant. (Willing to yield to other people)
e) Is full of Mercy.
f) Is full of Good Fruit.
g) Is full of Good deeds.
h) Is without favouritism.
i) Is without hypocrisy.
j) Is always sincere.
(Through this QT I want to have The Wisdom That Is From Above)
-----------------------
‘Those People Together In A Heavenly Calling.’
Hebrews 3:1.
a) These are Holy Brothers and Sisters.
b) These are companions in a Heavenly Calling.
c) These people consider Jesus.
d) These people remember that Jesus is the Apostle and High Priest of our confession.
(Through this Second one I learn about Those People Together In A Heavenly Calling)
-----------------------
Chris.
The Wisdom that is above is without favouritism. Favouritism is one of the things that can weaken and even destroy a family. The children that are not the parent’s favourite can go through deep rejection and the parent does not even realise what is happening. Favouritism in the classroom from the teacher of professor can so discourage students. Favouritism in the Church simply eventually breaks up the Church.

Being With You In Spirit Is Positive!

‘Being With You In Spirit Is Positive.’
Colossians 2:5.
a) It is rejoicing because of you.
b) It is seeing your good order.
c) It is seeing the steadfastness of your Faith in Christ.
(This QT reminds me that Being With You In Spirit Is Positive)
----------------------
‘Gifts From God.’
James 1:17.
a) Are Good Gifts.
b) Are Perfect Gifts.
c) Are from above.
d) They come down from the Father of Lights.
e) From Father God there is no variation.
f) From Father God there is no shadow of change.
(Through this Second one I understand the definition of Gifts From God)
----------------------
Chris.
We should always understand that our God is a loving Heavenly Father. He cares about our lives and the things that He sends are good and good for us. This is a good reason for us to be discerning and not passive about our concept of God. We need to discern before we think and speak. If we do this then we will develop a stronger Faith Life by the Grace of God.

The Proverbs Teach About Fools!

‘The Proverbs Teach About Fools.’
Proverbs 26:3-12.
a) Proverbs 26:3. A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey and a rod for the back of fools.
b) Proverbs 26:4. Do not answer fools according to their folly or we will become just like them. (Do not be drawn into their conversations)
c) Proverbs 26:5. Be sure to answer the foolish arguments of fools, if we do not they will become wise in their own estimation.
d) Proverbs 26:6. To send a message by the hand of a fool is like cutting off one’s feet or drinking poison.
e) Proverbs 26:7. Like the useless legs of a person who is lame is a Proverb in the mouth of a fool.
f) Proverbs 26:8. Like tying a stone in a sling is the giving of honour to a fool. (A stone tied in a sling could not release and could harm the person using the sling)
g) Proverbs 26:9. Like a thorn bush in a drunkard’s hand is a Proverb in the mouth of a fool.
h) Proverbs 26:10. An employer who hires a fool or a bystander is like an archer who shoots at random.
i) Proverbs 26:11. As a dog returns to its vomit so a fool returns to their folly.
j) Proverbs 26:12. Do you see people who are wise in their own eyes? There is more hope for fools than them.
(Through this QT I know that The Proverbs Teach About Fools)
---------------------
‘Safety For The True Church.’
Song of Solomon 4:8.
(The Church is not a hospital, the Church is not a military camp, rather the Church is supposed to be God’s Family)
a) The Beloved Lord Jesus calls His Bride – the Church – to come with Him from (out of) Lebanon. (Lebanon means whiteness – a type of fear)
b) The Beloved Lord Jesus calls His Bride – the Church - down from Mt. Abana. (Abana means made of stone – a type of hard heartedness)
c) The Beloved Lord Jesus calls His Bride – the Church – down from Mt. Senir. (Senir means coat of mail – type of strong self protection)
d) The Beloved Lord Jesus calls His Bride – the Church – down from Mt. Hermon. (Hermon means army man – a type of aggressive person)
e) The Beloved Lord Jesus calls His Bride – the Church – down from the lions and leopards to a place of security and safety.
(This Second one teaches me God’s Will for safety without and within the Church: Safety For The True Church)
---------------------
Chris.
The Church is not a hospital and the Church is not a military camp. Sometimes, when there is an overemphasis on “healing” the Church becomes like a hospital and the attendees have focus on being healed rather than spiritual growth and Worship. Other Churches are like a military camp, they are so discipleship training focused that simple Love and Worship are omitted. We need to remember that the Church is supposed to be a family based on Acts 2:42.

Life Should Get Better!

‘Life Should Get Better.’
Proverbs 15:24.
a) To wise people.
b) Their way of life goes upward.
c) That they may depart from Sheol beneath.
(This QT strongly reminds me that Life Should Get Better, I need to be on an upward path)
--------------------
‘The True Believer’s Citizenship.’
Philippians 3:20.
a) Our Citizenship is in Heaven.
b) We eagerly wait for a Saviour from there.
c) The Lord Jesus Christ is His Name.
(Through this Second one I understand The True Believer’s Citizenship)
--------------------
Chris.
An upward path is very important for every True Believer. This means that we should be growing in Grace and in the Knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ continually until we go to be with Him. There should never be stagnancy in our Faith Life. Let us keep on the upward path.

No One Need Be Deceived!

‘No One Need Be Deceived.
Colossians 2:3-4.
a) In Christ lie hidden all the Treasures of Wisdom.
b) In Christ lie hidden all the Treasures of Knowledge.
c) Apostle Paul wrote this for a purpose.
d) That no one would deceive the Church with well crafted arguments.
(Through this QT I know that No One Need Be Deceived in the Church)
-------------------
‘No One Should Be Surprised.’
John 3:7.
a) These are the Words of Jesus Christ.
b) He told the hearer – Nicodemus - not to be surprised when He heard them.
c) Nicodemus must be born again.
d) Nicodemus was devoutly religious as a Jewish Leader.
e) But he needed a Spiritual birth.
(Through this incident in the early days of Jesus’ Ministry I know that No One Should Be Surprised at their need for Spiritual birth as this Second one says)
-------------------
Chris.
In Christ lie hidden all the Treasures of Knowledge! Sometimes we read news of the discovery of an old sunken ship or derelict house and inside someone finds hidden treasure. That treasure is usually very valuable and sent to some museum. In the ever increasing quest for Knowledge in today’s World system, and even in the Church, we should never forget the fact that in Christ lie hidden all the Treasures of Knowledge.

It Cannot Touch Us!

‘It Cannot Touch Us.’
Proverbs 26:2.
a) Like a fluttering sparrow.
b) Like a darting swallow.
c) An undeserved curse.
d) Will not land on its intended victim.
(Through this QT I know that It Cannot Touch Us)
------------------
‘At The Dedication Service Of The Infant Jesus.’
Luke 2:25-38.
a) Luke 2:25. Simeon was present. Simeon was from Jerusalem, a Righteous and Devout man, the Holy Spirit was upon him and he was looking for the Consolation of Israel.
b) Luke 2:26. It had been revealed to Simeon that he should not see death until he saw the Lord’s Christ.
c) Luke 2:27. When Simeon came into the Temple he was in the Holy Spirit. The parents brought the Child Jesus into the Temple to do to according to the Ceremonial Jewish Law for Him.
d) Luke 2:28. Simeon received Jesus into his arms and he Blessed God.
e) Luke 2:29. Simeon, after this prayed that he could depart to Heaven, according to the Word that he had received from the Lord, he could depart in Peace.
f) Luke 2:30. Simeon declared that his eyes had seen God’s Salvation.
g) Luke 2:31. This Salvation had and has been prepared for all people.
h) Luke 2:32. This Child Jesus was to be a Light for Revelation to the Gentiles and the Glory of God’s People Israel.
i) Luke 2:33. Jesus’ parents were marvelling at the things being said about Him.
j) Luke 2:34-35. Then Simeon Blessed the family and Prophesied again over Jesus, even about His death.
k) Luke 2:36. Then this holy old lady Anna came into the Temple.
l) Luke 2:37. Anna spent nearly all her time in the Temple, she was:-
1- Praying.
2- Fasting.
3- Worshipping.
m) Luke 2:38. Anna came up to Mary, Joseph and Jesus together with Simeon just as Simeon was talking with them. Anna spoke about Jesus to everyone who was waiting for the Redemption of Jerusalem.
(Through this Second one I learn about all that happened At The Dedication Service Of The Infant Jesus and I recognise the importance of infant dedication services in the Church)
------------------
Chris.
Simeon Blessed the family and Prophesied over Jesus. We should not take infant dedication services lightly if we are True Believers. It is a most important time for the parents as well as the baby. Prophetic Prayers may be prayed and prophecies spoken over both the parents and their child that may prove to be significant for the present and the future. If the Church is going to have infant dedication services they should not be taken lightly.

Three Manifestations Of God!

‘Three Manifestations Of God.’
Acts 4:33.
a) Great Power.
b) The Resurrection of the Lord Jesus.
c) Great Grace.
(This QT shows me Three Manifestations of God)
-----------------
‘A Revelation Of The Character Of God.’
Zechariah 4:6-10.
a) Zechariah 4:6. When God works:-
1- It is not by might.
2- It is not by power.
3- It is by His Spirit.
b) Zechariah 4:7. God, through His Grace, can make great mountains into plains.
c) Zechariah 4:8. He sends His Word to us.
d) Zechariah 4:9. What He Prophesies is fulfilled.
e) Zechariah 4:10. He never despises the day of small things.
(This Second one gives me A Revelation Of The Character Of God)
-----------------
Chris.
We need to understand and know something of the Character of God. We need a Revelation of His Character through the Word of God. Some people who claim to be Christians have mystical and strange “revelations” of God that are not in the Scripture at all. We do not have to trust these people or their “revelations”. As we read the Word of God for ourselves we can receive our own revelation of the Character of God.

Apostle Paul’s Great Love For The Churches!

‘Apostle Paul’s Great Love For The Churches.’
Colossians 2:1-2.
a) He agonised for them in his prayers even though they had not met him personally.
b) He prayed for their hearts to be comforted.
c) He prayed that they would be knit together in Love.
d) He prayed for them to have complete confidence that they would understand God the Father’s Mysterious Plan which was Christ Himself.
(This QT reveals to me Apostle Paul’s Great Love For The Churches)
----------------
‘From His Abundance.’
John 1:16-17.
a) From God’s Abundance we have all received one Gracious Blessing after another.
b) The Law was given through Moses.
c) Through Jesus Christ came:-
1- Grace.
2- Truth.
3- Unfailing Love.
4- Faithfulness.
(Through this Second one I thank God for what I have received From His Abundance)
----------------
Chris.
The Father’s Mysterious Plan which was hidden to most people in the Old Testament days, even hidden from God’s Old Testament Jewish People, has now been revealed. This Mysterious Plan was and is Christ Himself. Christ is the fulfilment! Christ is the Redeemer that God the Father has provided for us.

Honour Is Not Seemly For A Fool!

‘Honour Is Not Seemly For A Fool.’
Proverbs 26:1.
a) Snow in summer is unthinkable.
b) Rain in harvest season is unthinkable.
c) So, honour is not seemly for a fool.
(This QT very clearly teaches me that Honour Is Not Seemly For A Fool)
---------------
‘The Author Of Eternal Salvation.’
Hebrews 5:8-9.
a) Jesus Christ is eternally the Son of God.
b) He learned the experience of Obedience by the things which He suffered.
c) Being made Perfect.
d) He became the Author of Eternal Salvation.
e) To all those people who Obey Him.
(Through this Scripture I thank God for The Author Of Eternal Salvation And I Want To Obey Him)
---------------
Chris.
The Author of Eternal Salvation is another Name for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I am so grateful to God for revealing His Son Jesus Christ for us. Salvation is in no other. Salvation is not in outward religion. Salvation is not in Spiritual Gifts. Salvation does not depend on how much we Pray. Salvation is only in the Author of Eternal Salvation Who is our Lord Jesus Christ.

How God Makes Us Right In His Sight!

‘How God Makes Us Right In His Sight.’
Romans 1:17.
a) The Good News tells us how God makes us right in His Sight.
b) It is accomplished from start to finish by Faith.
c) The Scripture says: Habakkuk 2:4.
d) It is through Faith that a Righteous Person has life.
(This QT teaches me How God Makes Me Right In His Sight)
--------------
‘We Should Not Neglect So Great A Salvation.’
Hebrews 2:3-4.
a) How shall we escape if we neglect it?
b) It was first spoken by the Lord Himself.
c) It was confirmed by the people who heard Him speak.
d) God bore Witness with them.
e) According to His Will. (Not ours)
f) By:-
1- Signs.
2- Wonders.
3- Manifold powers.
4- By Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
(Through this Second one I am reminded that I Should Not Neglect So Great A Salvation)
--------------
Chris.
We should not neglect so great a Salvation. I am amazed at how some Believers treat their Salvation in a trivial way. Some people who claim to be “Christians” constantly live in compromise with the World system. Other “Christians” are fanatically infatuated with Spiritual Gifts and become spiritually perverted and yet others dominate and control people that they are “caring” for. Let all of us who are True Believers not neglect so great a Salvation.

Depending On Christ’s Mighty Power!

‘Depending On Christ’s Mighty Power.’
Colossians 1:28-29.
a) We are to tell other people about Christ.
b) We are to warn everyone.
c) We are to teach everyone with the Wisdom that God has given us.
d) We want to present the people to God.
e) We want the people to be perfect in their relationship to Christ.
f) That is why we work.
g) That is why we struggle so hard.
h) That is why we depend on Christ’s Mighty Power that works within us.
(This QT reminds me that I need to be Depending On Christ’s Mighty Power)
-------------
‘Going On From Strength To Strength.’
a) Psalm 84:7. God wants us to continue to grow stronger and to be ready to appear before God.
b) Psalm 122:1. We should be glad to share real fellowship in the House of the Lord.
c) Job 17:9. We need to move forward and have clean hands, then we will become stronger and stronger.
d) Isaiah 40:31. We need to Trust in the Lord and find new strength.
e) John 1:16. We need the Gracious Blessing of the Lord upon us.
f) 2 Corinthians 3:18. It is the Work of the Holy Spirit to make us more Christ-like.
(This Second one stimulates me to be Going On From Strength To Strength)
-------------
Chris.
As True Believers who actively serve the Lord we need to work. We need to do God’s Work directly related to the Ministry, or Ministries, that we involved in and we may also need to do some practical job style of work to support ourselves sometimes as Apostle Paul did.

Four Things It is Not Good To Do!

‘Four Things It is Not Good To Do.’
Proverbs 25:26-28.
a) Proverbs 25:26. It is not good for the godly people to give in to the wicked.
b) Proverbs 25:27. It is not good to eat too much honey.
c) Proverbs 25:27. It is not good to seek glory for ourselves.
d) Proverbs 25:28. It is not good to be without self control.
(This QT teaches me Four Things It Is Not Good To Do)
------------
‘Reasons For Reading The Proverbs.’
Proverbs 22:20-21.
a) They are for us.
b) They are filled with Advice.
c) They are filled with Knowledge.
d) They help us to know the Truth.
e) They help us to be honest when reporting to other people, especially those people who have some kind of authority over us.
(Through this Second one I find good Reasons For Reading The Proverbs)
------------
Chris.
There are times that we need to be taught the things that it is not good to do. These things are often not obvious sins like telling lies, some kind of sexual sins or stealing from other people. There are many other things that are not good or wise to do. That is why it is so important to heed the Word of God and also not to skip past Proverbs when we are reading it.

These Must Increase!

‘These Must Increase.’
a) John 3:30. Jesus Christ in His Presence among us.
b) Leviticus 19:25. The harvest, if we obey the Lord our God.
c) Psalm 75:10. The Power of the Godly People.
d) Psalm 107:38. Our flocks, when the Blessing of the Lord is upon us.
(Through this QT I fully understand that These Must Increase)
-----------
‘The Heart Of A Real Spiritual Father.’
Galatians 4:19.
a) The imperfect Galatian Churches were so dear to Apostle Paul, their spiritual father.
b) Apostle Paul felt as if he was going through labour pains for them again.
c) Those labour pains were going to continue.
d) Until Christ was fully formed in their lives.
(This Second one shows me The Heart Of A Real Spiritual Father)
-----------
Chris.
The heart of a real spiritual father is missing in many Churches today. Spiritual fathers are being replaced by CEO’s or busy fathers. In some Churches the role of the spiritual father is being usurped by his wife therefore making his fatherhood ineffective. We should pray for spiritual fatherhood to be restored to the Churches. This will really enhance the Ministry of the Local Churches.

Blessings For The People Who Love God!

‘Blessings For The People Who Love God.’
Colossians 1:27.
a) The people who love God are those people to whom God has planned to give a Vision of the full Wonder and Splendour of His Secret Plan.
b) This Plan is for the sons of men. (Including us!)
c) The Secret Plan is simply this:-
d) Christ in us.
e) Christ in us, bringing with Him the Hope of all Glorious things to come.
(In this QT I find Blessings For The People Who Love God)
----------
‘Pastors And Shepherds According To God’s Heart.’
Jeremiah 3:15.
a) They are a Gift from God.
b) They come from the Heart of God.
c) They shall feed us with Knowledge.
d) They shall feed us with Understanding.
(This Second one is so simple and yet so profound: Pastors And Shepherds According To God’s Heart)
----------
Chris.
Christ in us! If we are True Believers we should have confidence to make this proclamation – that Christ is in us. Christ lives in us by Faith and He in us is the Hope of Glory. If Christ lives in us then surely the Fruit of the Holy Spirit will be manifested in our lives. If Christ lives in us then we will surely be able to serve Him effectively.

Good News!

‘Good News.’
a) Proverbs 25:25. From a far country refreshes us.
b) Proverbs 15:30. Makes for good health.
c) Isaiah 52:7. The Good News:-
1- Nahum 1:15. Of Peace.
2- Of Salvation.
3- That God Reigns.
d) Luke 2:10. That will bring Joy to all people.
e) Romans 10:15. Has heralds with beautiful feet.
(This QT makes me Thank God for Good News)
---------
‘He Changed His Message.’
Jude 1:3.
a) Jude originally fully intended to write about the common Salvation.
b) He changed his Message.
c) He felt compelled to make His Message an earnest appeal.
d) An appeal to put up a real fight for the Faith.
e) This Faith has been once and for all time committed to those people who belong to Christ.
(Through this Second one: He Changed His Message, I can see that sometimes the Preacher, Teacher or Writer needs to change their Message)
---------
Chris.
The Reality of the Good News is that God Reigns. We are surrounded by various ideologies in the Church that sometimes would make the unlearned Believer shake. We do not face an “uphill” battle with Satan. There may be a battle but Christ is the Victor and that is guaranteed. People in the Church and of the Church are sometimes sick, unanswered Prayer for their healing is not a “defeat”. In Heaven they will have permanent Health. Let us never forget that God Reigns.

Keep Our Self Control!

‘Keep Our Self Control.’
a) Proverbs 19:11. Sensible people control their temper, they earn respect by overlooking wrongs.
b) Proverbs 15:18. A cool tempered person stops fights while a hot tempered person starts them.
c) Proverbs 16:32. Better to be patient than powerful and better to have self
control than to conquer a city.
d) Titus 1:7. An Elder must not be quick tempered.
e) James 1:19. All True Believers should be:-
1- Quick to listen.
2- Slow to speak.
3- Slow to get angry.
(This QT encourages me to Keep My Self Control)
-------
God’s Servants Need To Remember To Love.
1 Corinthians 13:4-5.
a) Love is patient.
b) Love is kind.
c) Love is not:-
1- Boastful.
2- Jealous.
3- Proud.
d) Love is not rude.
e) Love does not demand its own way.
f) Love is not irritable.
g) Love keeps no record of being wronged.
(Through this Second one I know that God’s Servants Need To Remember To Love)
-------
Chris.
It is better to be patient than powerful. There are some people who take pride in the fact that they are powerful. This is dangerous because the Bible states that pride comes before a fall. Sometimes we see mighty people have fallen unnecessarily, that is so sad. Yes, it is better to be patient than powerful.

A Great And Wonderful Responsibility!

‘A Great And Wonderful Responsibility.’
Colossians 1:25-26.
a) The Lord gave Apostle Paul the responsibility of Serving His Church.
b) Christ is the Head of His Church.
c) Apostle Paul served the Church by proclaiming His entire Message (His Word) to them.

Chris.
The Message of God’s Word was kept secret for many generations and centuries. This Message is now perfectly revealed in the Bible, the entire Word of God. The Message served was the Word of God that was able to build up the Church and the Word of God still has the same function today. It is not the responsibility of those responsible for the Ministry of the Church to heal crowds or to lead congregations into the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Healing of Believers in the New Testament was done individually by the Church Leaders and Gifts of the Holy Spirit seemed to be ministered in a similar way. Congregational ministry was centred on the Teaching of the Word of God. Healing of the crowds was Jesus' Ministry to unregenerate unbelievers - not to the Disciples. The pattern continued in the early Church.
