Practical Practise Of Faith!

‘Practical Practise Of Faith.’
James 2:14-17.
a)      James 2:14. If a person claims to have Faith but does not do any good works, can this kind of ‘faith’ save them?
b)     James 2:15. Suppose a Believer, man or woman, needs clothes or food.
c)      James 2:16. What good does it do if we tell the person who needs clothes and food, if we do not provide for that person’s needs but we simply say to them:-
1-    God be with you.
2-    Stay warm!
3-    Make sure that you eat enough!
d)     James 2:17. Faith by itself is dead if it does not cause us to do any good things.
(This QT encourages me in the Practical Practise Of Faith)
-----------
‘How To Be? Be Like This!’
Colossians 3:12.
a)      We are Holy People whom God has chosen.
b)     We are Holy People whom God has loved.
c)      We should be:-
1-    Sympathetic.
2-    Merciful.
3-    Kind.
4-    Humble.
5-    Meek.
6-    Gentle.
7-    Patient.
8-    Longsuffering.
(Through this Second one I am challenged by the answer to my question: How To Be? Be Like This)
-----------
Chris.
Sometimes we tell things to people we are in fellowship with to make sure that they eat enough but do we ever consider inviting them and feeding them. One of the most wonderful Gospel associated ministries is feeding the genuine poor and homeless people.

d)     Salvation and Deliverance are its strong walls and defences.
e)      Open the gates of the City and good people will enter.
f)       Those people who follow God and remain Faithful to Him.
(Through this QT I know that God Protects Us In The City)

‘We Should Never Bring Sorrow To The Holy Spirit.’

a)      Ephesians 4:30. Do not bring sorrow to the Holy Spirit.
b)     Ephesians 4:30. God’s Holy Spirit is the proof that we belong to God.
c)      Ephesians 4:30. God will make us free when the final day comes.
d)     Ephesians 4:31. The things that we are to avoid which bring sorrow to the Holy Spirit:-
1-    Bitterness.
2-    Anger.
3-    Rage.
4-    Shouting.
5-    Insulting other people.
e)      Ephesians 4:32. We should :-
1-    Be kind.
2-    Have a loving and understanding heart.
3-    Forgive one another because God has forgiven us for Christ’s Sake.
(This Second one reminds me that I Should Never Bring Sorrow To The Holy Spirit)
-----------
Chris.

God protects us in the City. Whatever may be happening inside or outside the City, God protects us. We love Him because He first loved us. God is the initiative taker, if there are lessons that He wants to teach us they may be painful and we learn from them but God protects us in the City.

Temptation!

‘Temptation.’
a)       Matthew 6:13; 26:41.  We can pray that we will not be led into it.
b)      Matthew 13:22. The temptation to be wealthy can stop us growing spiritually.
c)       1 Corinthians 10:13; 2 Peter 2:9. God will make a way of escape out of it.
d)      James 1:12. Blessed is the person who endures it.
(This QT helps me to come out of Temptation)
----------
‘For All Future Time.’
Ephesians 2:7.
a)       This is for all future in time and all ages to come.
b)      God is going to show us the riches of His Grace that are exceeding and overwhelming.
c)       In Christ Jesus.
(This is For All Future Time)
----------
Chris.
We are sometimes having great difficulty in helping ourselves. One of the issues is temptation. It is normal to be tempted but the Bible is very clear in telling us God leads us out of temptation. Let us not make excuses for temptation (which is easy for us to do) and claim God’s way out for us.

Show Mercy!

‘Show Mercy.’
James 2:13.
a)       We must show Mercy to other people.
b)      If we do not, God will not show Mercy to us when He Judges us.
c)       Judgment is without Mercy to the person who does not Judge mercifully.
d)      The person who shows Mercy can stand without fear at the Judgment.
e)       Mercy triumphs over Judgment.
(This QT calls me to Show Mercy)
---------
‘The Fruit Of The Holy Spirit.’
Galatians 5:22-23.
a)       The Holy Spirit should be producing His Fruit in our lives.
b)      The Fruit of the Holy Spirit is:-
1-     Love.
2-     Joy.
3-     Peace.
4-     Patience.
5-     Kindness.
6-     Goodness.
7-     Faithfulness.
8-     Gentleness.
9-     Self-Control.
c)       There is no law opposed to fruit like this.
(Through this Second one I desire more of the Fruit Of The Holy Spirit in my life)
---------
Chris.

Mercy triumphs over Judgment. God is Merciful, His Mercy is abundant and amazing. We are so glad that God is Merciful that means many wonderful and freeing experiences can take place in our lives. Judgment binds – Mercy frees!

God Hates Pride!

‘God Hates Pride.’
Isaiah 25:11-12.
a)       The proud people manifest their pride.
b)      God will bring down their pride.
c)       God will bring down their cleverness.
d)      God will bring down their self-protection.
e)       God will throw them down to the dust.
(This QT reminds me that God Hates Pride)
--------
‘Keep It Up.’
1 Thessalonians 5:11.
a)       Encourage each other.
b)      Give each other strength.
c)       Build one another up.
d)      Once you have started keep doing it.
(This Second one encourages me to Keep It Up)
--------
Chris.

God will eventually throw proud people down to the dust. He so hates the sin of pride. Throughout the Scriptures we find out this fact. If we are aware of our pride then we need to repent of it and get rid of it. God wants us to blend well in the Body of Christ.

Irregular!

Over the next three days this QT will be irregular.

A Holy Reminder About Jesus!

a)  Timothy was to continue to follow the Teachings he had learned. (So are we!)
b)  Timothy was confident that those Teachings were True. (So should we be)
c)  Peter trusted and knew the people that he Learned the Teachings from. (We should also trust our Bible Teachers)
(This Second one Teaches me to Continue In Confidence)
-----
Chris.

There are times when we really need healthy spiritual reminders. One of those reminders is to remember the Word of God that we have been taught and also remember our spiritual Teachers. To be a Bible Teacher is a calling and Ministry from God. We need to value their lives as well as their Teachings.

The Law Of Liberty!

‘The Law Of Liberty.’
James 2:11-12.
a)  Exodus 20:13 & 14. The same God Who said that we must not commit adultery.
b)  Says that we must not murder anyone.
c)  So if we do not commit adultery but we kill, we are Guilty of breaking all of God’s Law.
d)  In everything we say and do.
e)  We are to remember that we will be judged by the Law that will make people free.
(This QT makes me Thank God for His Mercy and The Law Of Liberty)
----
‘Jesus Also Needed Hospitality.’
Luke 24:29.
a)  The Disciples were:-
1- Begging Jesus.
2- Urging Jesus.
3- Constraining Jesus.
b)  To come and stay with them because it was almost night time.
c)  So Jesus went in to stay with them.
(Through this Second one I see that Jesus Also Needed Hospitality)
----
Chris.

There were, and still are, certain things that God says we must not do. It is very necessary for True Believers to take hold of God’s Word and to put it into action in our lives by Faith. Then we will find ourselves living the kind of life that God wants us to live.

Surely We Can Wait For God!

‘Surely We Can Wait For God.’
Isaiah 25:9-10.
a)  Three things that will be said when God manifests:-

a)  If a fellow True Believer sins against us.
b)  We do not gossip, we go and tell the person what they have done wrong in private.
c)  If the person listens to us.
d)  We have regained that person.
(This Second one clearly tells me to Go And Do It when I need to)
---
Chris.
Waiting for the Lord! This can be expressed in different ways. Whichever way in which we may be waiting for the Lord and for whatever reason, we should keep hold ofthe Promise that He has given to us.

For This Reason Christ Came Into The World!

‘For This Reason Christ Came Into The World.’
John 18:37.

2-  Admonishing.
3-  Instructing.
c)   Good Leaders love the people that they live, even sometimes cry over them.
(Through this QT I want to Be Alert)
-------
Chris.
Jesus was and still is a King. This is something that we need to remember and take seriously. Sometimes there seems to be too much familiarity in True Believers’ Faith Life and Testimony. We honour the Leaders of our Nation we should also Honour our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Live In Grace And Not Under Law!

‘Live In Grace And Not Under Law.’
James 2:10.
a)   A person who follows and obeys God’s Law.
b)   If they fail to obey one command.

(Through this QT I want to Live In Grace And Not Under Law)
----

d)   It was a righteous appeal and the king gave her much more than what she asked for.
(This Second one encourages me, when necessary to make A Righteous Appeal)
------
Chris.

Sometimes God actually wants us to make a Righteous Appeal when we need to. Some True Believers think that there is no point in bothering people, especially after a long time and they just put up with their situation. That is not always what God wants for us, sometimes He wants us to make a Righteous Appeal.

' Christ Died for Our Sins Once For All.'

'Christ Died For Our Sins Once For All.' a) 1 Peter 3:18. For unrighteous people to make them righteous. b) 1 Peter 2:24. That...
