God Wants Us to Listen

'God Wants Us To Listen.'

b) 81:8. This Message is for God's People.

f) 81:9. Do not worship any idol.

g) 81:10. The Lord is the Lord our God.

h) 81:10. The Lord is our Deliverer.

i) 81:10. The Lord wants us to obediently by Faith open our mouths wide, and He will fill our mouths. This means two things, firstly, He will put in our mouths the Message to speak, and secondly, He will meet our needs as we obey Him.

(This QT speaks to me, God Wants Me To Listen to Him)

------------------------------------------------

p) Luke 16:23. In the torment of hell, one can see Heaven.

q) Luke 17:12. Ten lepers sought healing from Jesus.

r) Ephesians 2:17. We can still receive the Message of Peace.

(Through this Second one I realize that God works both near and Afar Off)

-----------------------------------------------

Chris.

The words "far off" must be taken as relative. The Jewish people, in the Bible days, as well as in these modern days, had their dwelling places within walking distance of their place of Worship as they were to do no work on the Sabbath. The meaning of this "far off" in the Bible means that there needs to be clear distinction in every part of our life. The Life of the Believer's family, The Worship of the Believer, The Ministry of the Believer, there needs to be distinction of a clear nature in each part. The person who says that they sacrifice their family for the sake of "mission" or "ministry" is in clear disobedience to God. The person who does not Worship, but makes the excuse that they are "busy doing ministry" is also in clear disobedience to God.

Bible Miracles

'Bible Miracles.'

a) Acts 2:22; Hebrews 2:4. They are called:-

1-Miracles.

2-Signs.

3-Wonders.

b) Hebrews 2:4. Gifts of the Holy Spirit at God's Own Will.

c) John 11:17-45. A miracle was very evident, Lazarus came alive again. There were many people who witnessed this Miracle for the Glory of God.

d) John 9:1-25. A man born blind received a Miracle of sight. There were many people who witnessed this Miracle for the Glory of God.

e) Luke 13:11-16. The woman who was bent over for eighteen years by an evil spirit received a Miracle of Healing. There were many people who witnessed this Miracle for the Glory of God.

f) Acts 3:2-10; 14:8-11. The beggar man lame from his mother's womb received a Miracle of Healing. There were many people who witnessed this Miracle for the Glory of God.

g) Mark 1:40-45. The leper received a Miracle of Healing. There were many people who witnessed this Miracle for the Glory of God.

h) Mark 2:1-12. The paralytic man received a Miracle of Healing. There were many people who witnessed this Miracle for the Glory of God.

i) Mark 7:32-37. The deaf mute man received a Miracle of Healing. There were many people who witnessed this Miracle for the Glory of God.

j) Acts 3:7; Luke 13:11-13; Mark 2:10-12. The general pattern of Biblical Miracles was that they were instant and obvious.

k) Matthew 4:23-24; 14:34-36; Acts 5:12-16. There was no "failed miracle". Every kind of disease could be Miraculously Healed.

l) Luke 7:11-17; Acts 13:6-12; Mark 4:35-41. Miracles were not performed in the Bible according to peoples' Faith. Each Miracle was a Grace Gift from God for His Glory.

m) Matthew 12:10-13; Mark 1:40-45; Acts 3:8. True Miracles of Healing were complete and perfect restoring people to normal health for the Glory of God.

(This QT teaches me that Bible Miracles took place publicly for the Glory of God. They were always obvious and never glorified any human being, ministry or church. In 36 years of ministry in many different kinds of Churches I have seen very few Biblical Miracles, less than five)

------------------------------------------

'The Gift Of Tongues Or Languages.'

(The Greek Word is gloce-sah, meaning language or dialect used by a particular people distinct from that of other Nations)

a) Revelation 5:9; 14:6; 17:15. The word "tongue" used in the Bible to refer to languages that were:-

1-Natural.

2-Native.

3-Human.

b) Acts 2:4-11; 11:15-17. When the Holy Spirit came upon them and they spoke in "tongues", these were languages, miraculously given, that those around who understood the languages, could hear about the Wonderful Works of God and Glorify Him. This goes to prove that language is corporate factor in the Worship of God and not race.

c) 1 Corinthians 14:5-28. If a foreign person speaks a Message in Church and there is no one able to interpret, either naturally or by Holy Spirit Gift, then the speaker should keep silent. The true Gift of Tongues is a Message capable of being understood by the majority of people present in the Worship.

d) 1 Corinthians 14:5. The goal must be the edification of the Church.

e) Acts 2:2-12. The people were never taught here to "speak in tongues", they were suddenly empowered by the Holy Spirit.

f) Acts 4:13. The speakers were seen as ignorant and unlearned.

g) Acts 10:44-46; 19:6. The people were given the Gift suddenly.

h) 1 Corinthians 14:14-15. "My spirit", not Holy Spirit, prays. "I will" do this. It is totally human. Prayer can be in the Holy Spirit or led by the Holy Spirit or enabled by the Holy Spirit, BUT much prayer, especially that that merely comes from emotion or thinking, is only human. God is not in it at all.

-------------------------------------------

Chris.

The Bible and the Biblical Pattern of the New Testament Church, together with the Apostles' Creed being read, understood and applied, lay the foundation of our True Church today. The whole emphasis of the True Church should be to Glorify God, to share the Gospel with a lost World and to make Disciples of Christ in the most effective way suitable to the culture of the Church. The True Church is adhering to Acts 2:42: Bible Study (on a regular basis), Fellowship (not a gossip center or mere social club), Eating together and taking the Holy Communion together, (it means practical outworking of our relationship with God and of our relationships with other people in Church), Praying together, (in the Bible there are three expressions of Prayer, one is prayer alone to God, second prayer as a family - for the True Believing family, thirdly prayer as the Church. The thought of prayer "groups" that are dealing with "special subjects" or of small "intercessory groups", whether inside or outside the Church, is totally not Biblical and can lead to: spiritual pride, division and deception.

(Through this Second one I am encouraged to be Calling To God when I need to)

-------------------------------

Chris.

Always the True Believer needs to remember that they belong to God, we are not our own, we are bought with a Precious Price - the Blood of Jesus Christ. We now live, not for ourselves, but for the Glory of God. God loves us and He will help us as we trust in Him. As we follow this new kind of lifestyle, we can pray with confidence that He will answer our prayers in His Will.

'Jealousy Comes.'

Genesis 37:4.

a) Through our eyes.

b) Seeing someone else being loved by another person.

c) Creating hatred.

d) Breaking our relationships and fellowship.

(Through this Second one I can see the havoc created when Jealousy Comes)

------------------------------------------------
Chris.

Assurance and Confidence are two great strengtheners for our inner man. If we have an active and pure faith in God and a good relationship with Him, then we should have the resultant Assurance and Confidence. Assurance and Confidence are not things that True Believers have to pray for, rather they are what comes as our life is in right condition with God.

--------------------------------------
Chris.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth. Truth always brings freedom, this is what Jesus taught us. We need to live in the Truth and tell the Truth. We have to Face the Truth sometimes and allow God to work in our lives. If we make a habit of trying to cover over Truth that we cannot face, because of fear and shame, then we can never be free in Jesus. King David asked God to search his heart, he wanted the Truth because He desired to live to please God. Let us hate lies and live in and tell the Truth.

b) Hebrews 11:6. Without Faith it is impossible to please God.

c) Mark 11:24. As we pray.

(This Second one urges me to Have Faith In God)

-----------------------------------

Chris.

There are people, whom God says, do know wrong. The reason that God classifies them in such a way is that they walked in the Lord's Ways. David was such a person, we know, because the Bible records it, that David sinned, yet God gave him so much credibility. The condition of the heart has much to do with it. Even the people with the purest motivation in their hearts sometimes sin. Yet, if they, like David did, deal with their sins, God will give them credibility.

Chris.

The Power of God is manifested in many ways, this is something we need to understand as True Believers. We should not limit God. Firstly; the Power of God is manifested through the workings of the Holy Spirit. Secondly; the Power of God is manifested through the Blood of Jesus Christ. Thirdly; the Power of God is made effective by the Word of God. This Word of God is the Life giving Word. There are other ways that the Power of God is made known too.

‘Early Church Life.’

Acts 5:1-42.

a)    Acts 5:1-10. The Holy Spirit revealed liars and deceivers.

b)    Acts 5:11-13. There were three manifestations that were in the Church:-

1-  Fear over everyone – the Fear of the Lord.

2-  Signs and wonders performed by the Leaders.

c)    Acts 5:14. Multitudes of people were added to the Church.

g)    Acts 5:21. The Apostles did as the Angel told them.

3-  From house to house.

4-  They kept on Teaching.

5-  They kept on Preaching Jesus as the Christ.

(Through this Second one I am challenged as to the real work of the Holy Spirit through Early Church Life)

Chris.

God always works everything out for good, especially for those people who love Him. We cannot always understand God’s Ways and we are not meant to because He is God. Some people persecuted for their Faith get early release from jail. Some stay there for years. Some people are martyred and some live. Some people never face persecution, some live out their entire life in persecution circumstances. We are not called to understand God, but rather to trust Him.
