Indeed They Have Heard!

'Indeed They Have Heard.'

Romans 10:18.

a)  But I ask;

b)  Have they not heard?

c)  Indeed they have,

d)  For:

e)  "Their voice has gone out to all the Earth,

f)  "And their words to the end of the World."

(This QT reminds me that Indeed They Have Heard)

PRAY: That the response of hearers to the Gospel will be positive.

---------------------

'An Excellent Testimony.'

Romans 1:8.

a)  First,

b)  I thank my God through Jesus Christ

c)  For all of you,

d)  Because your faith is proclaimed in all the World.

(This Second one teaches me that the Roman Church had An Excellent Testimony)

PRAY: To have An Excellent Testimony that glorifies God.

---------------------

Chris.

Reading and Praying through the Book of Romans is a really excellent way to do QT as a first step. Romans is easy to understand and it is the first of the Epistles, so it is also a logical place to begin. Whoever we are, we need to take the steps of Bible Reading and Prayer if we are to have a fruitful relationship with God.

Jesus Already Knew!

 'Jesus Already Knew.'

John 1:48.

a)  Nathanael said to Him:

b)  "How do you know me?"

c)  Jesus answered and said to him:

d)  "Before Philip called you,

e)  "When you were under the fig tree,

f)  "I saw you."

(This QT teaches me that Jesus Already Knew)

PRAY: With clarity and understanding through John's Gospel.

--------------------

'Jesus Went To Be Baptised.'

Matthew 3:13.

a)  Then Jesus went

b)  From Galilee to the Jordan River

c)  To be baptised by John.

(Through this Second one I see that Jesus Went To Be Baptised)

PRAY: For more new Believers to be baptised.

-------------------

Chris.

The early New Testament history recorded in Matthew's Gospel is not only very interesting reading, it is also the Truth of God's Word. It is good to read through the Gospels as they are: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Most of what we are going to learn about the Lord Jesus Christ we can find in these Gospels.

Jesus Knew Exactly What They Wanted To Ask Him!

'Jesus Knew Exactly What They Wanted To Ask Him.'

John 16:19.

a)  Now Jesus knew that they desired to ask Him,

b)  And He said to them,

c)  "Are you inquiring amongst yourselves about what I said?"

d)  " 'A little while,

e)  " 'And you will not see Me;

f)  " 'And again a little while,

g)  " 'And you will see Me'? "

(Through this QT I can see that Jesus Knew Exactly What They Wanted To Ask Him)

PRAY: Through John's Gospel, trusting in the Lord to answer your Prayers.

-------------------

'A Simple And Humble Affirmation.'

John 9:17.

a)  They said to the blind man again:

b)  "What do you say about Him because He opened your eyes?"

c)  He said: "He is a Prophet."

(This Second one gives A Simple And Humble Affirmation about Jesus Christ)

PRAY: To have Simple And Humble Affirmation and Testimony about Jesus Christ.

-------------------

Chris.

Often, the most effective way to testify personally about Jesus Christ, is to make it a simple and humble testimony! Throughout the Gospels we read of such testimonies. Sharing a testimony is not preaching, it is simply telling other people about what the Lord has done for you. If you have nothing to share, please wait until you know that you have a meaningful testimony!

God's Purpose Revealed!

'God's Purpose Revealed.'

Romans 9:17.

a)  For the Scripture says to Pharaoh:

b)  "For this very purpose I have raised you up,

c)  "That I might show My power in you,

d)  "And that My Name might be proclaimed

e)  "In all the Earth."

(This QT reveals to me God's Purpose Revealed)

PRAY: For God's Purpose to be revealed daily in our lives.

------------------

'Amazing Creation.'

Genesis 1:21.

a)  And God created the great sea creatures

b)  And every living thing that moves,

c)  With which the waters swarmed,

d)  According to their kind,

e)  And every winged bird according to its kind;

f)  And God saw that it was good.

(Through this Second one I find Amazing Creation)

PRAY: To understand well the Book of Genesis.

------------------

Chris.

When we look at the waters today, whether it is sea, lake, river or stream, they are always amazing. every each one is different. God created the waters and all that is within them. We should always be worshipfully minded about God's Creation.

Jesus Knows Us Very Well!

 'Jesus Knows Us Very Well.'

John 1:47.

a)  Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him and said of him:

b)  "Behold,

c)  "An Israelite indeed,

d)  "In whom there is no deceit."

(This QT reminds me that Jesus Knows Us Very Well)

PRAY:  To live a life free from deceit.

-----------------

'It Is Conditional.'

Psalm 73:1.

a)  Truly God is good to Israel,

b)  To those who

c)  Are pure in heart.

(Through this Second one I know that It Is Conditional)

PRAY: To be pure in heart.

-----------------

Chris.

This Psalm of Asaph has a title: "God is my Strength and Portion forever." It must be a relevant title for all of us who know God. We should be able to say, with Asaph, that God is our Strength and Portion. If we live our life with a pure heart, surely this will be pleasing to God! Living with a pure heart also enables us to experience more of the Goodness of God.

A Timely Word!

When we “slow down” and meditate, memorize, and study Scripture at an unhurried, even leisurely pace, we are not engaging with it in a foreign, unexpected way. God means for his word to be read slowly, meditated on, not speed-read.

-- By David Mathis, "Desiring God".

We Do Not Understand!

 'We Do Not Understand.'

John 16:18.

a)  So they were saying:

b)  "What does He mean by 'a little while'?

c)  "We do not know what He is talking about."

(This QT reveals a problem: We Do Not Understand)

PRAY: To understand well the Words of Jesus Christ.

----------------

'We Do Not Know Where You Are Going Lord.'

John 14:5.

a)  "We do not know

b)  "Where you are going, Lord.

c)  "How can we know the way?"

(This Second one proves to me that there were many things the first Disciples did not know)

PRAY: To be spiritually "in tune" with the Lord.

----------------

Chris.

I continue to encourage any folks who may read this QT to also study John's Gospel well. John's Gospel is easy to understand and read. It teaches us many things. It was one of the first Bible books that I read and has always helped me understand God and His Word well!

It Depends On God!

'It Depends On God.'

Romans 9:16.

a)  So then it does not depend on the man who wills,

b)  Or the man who runs,

c)  But on God

d)  Who has mercy.

(This QT reminds me that It Depends On God)

PRAY: Trusting the Mercy of God.

---------------

'A Quiet And Encouraging Word.'

Luke 10:23.

a)  Then He turned to His disciples and said privately:

b)  "Blessed are the eyes

c)  "Which see the things you see;"

(This Second one show to me A Quiet And Encouraging Word)

PRAY: To be sensitive to the Words of Jesus Christ.

---------------

Chris.

I thank God for the Believers who have learned how to give Quiet And Encouraging Words! These kinds of Words surely minister life into the Body of Christ. Maybe in a "sermon style" message, maybe to a small group, or even to an individual Believer, Quiet and Encouraging Words can surely be a source of Life and stimulate Holiness for the Body of Christ.

Nathanael's Cynical Doubt!

 'Nathanael's Cynical Doubt.'

John 1:46.

a)  Nathanael said to him,

b)  "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?"

c)  Philip said to him,

d)  "Come and see."

(This QT reveals Nathanael's Cynical Doubt)

PRAY: To be free from a cynical attitude.

---------------

'Simply Be Faithful.'

Matthew 25:21.

a)  "His lord said to him,

b)  " 'Well done, good and faithful servant;

c)  " 'You were faithful over a few things,

d)  " 'I will make you ruler over many things.

e)  " 'Enter into the joy of your lord.' "

(Through this Second one I know that it is wise to Simply Be Faithful)

PRAY: To be Faithful

---------------

Chris.

Good and Faithful servants should be commended. This is an important Biblical principle. If those people who are served by Good and Faithful servants do not commend them, they do not deserve to have servants! Simply being Faithful is a highly commendable virtue! We should not forget to commend Good servants.

What Is This That He Says?

'What Is This That He Says?'

John 16:17.

a)  Then some of His Disciples said among themselves,

b)  "What is this that He says to us?

c)  "A little while, and you will not see Me;

d)  "And again a little while,

e)  "And you will see Me."

f)  And, "Because I go to the Father."?

(This QT has me echoing the Disciples' question: What Is This That He says?)

PRAY: That daily we will understand the Words of Jesus Christ.

--------------

'Jesus' Practical Teaching Style.'

Matthew 13:2.

a)  And great multitudes were gathered together to Him,

b)  So that He got into a boat and sat;

c)  And the whole multitude

d)  Stood on the shore.

(Through this Second one I find Jesus' Practical Teaching Style)

PRAY: For practical Bible Teachers in our Churches.

--------------

Chris.

The specific and clear way that Matthew writes his Gospel helps us to transfer into the New Testament from the Old!  One of the important things about the Bible is that we actually read it. A Bible left on the shelf does not indicate that we are a good Christian. Many Bibles left on the shelf do not indicate that we are a good minister!

God's Mercy And Compassion!

 'God's Mercy And Compassion.'

Romans 9:15.

a)  For He says to Moses:

b)  "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,

c)  "And I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."

(This QT reminds me of God's Mercy And Compassion)

PRAY: To continue to live with God's Mercy And Compassion.

-------------

'The Priest's Offering And Blessing.'

Leviticus 9:22.

a)  Then Aaron lifted up his hands towards the people

b)  And Blessed them,

c)  And he came down from offering:

1-The sin offering.

2-The burnt offering.

3-The peace offerings.

(This Second one shows me The Priest's Offering And Blessing)

PRAY: To give the Blessing of the Lord to others.

-------------

Chris.

How important it is that Spiritual Leaders are able to Bless the people that they lead. It is also important for them to live meaningful lives amongst the people. Spiritual Leaders should be those who set a good example, even in giving hospitality, as in the picture! Is this a big challenge? - Yes, it is, but God will help spiritual leaders to lead well.

Have You Found Him?

 'Have You Found Him?'

John 1:45.

a)  Philip found Nathanael and said to him:

b)  "We have found Him

c)  "Of Whom Moses in the Law

d)  "And also the Prophets wrote,

e)  "Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph."

(This QT prompts me to ask the question: Have You Found Him?)

PRAY: To find Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour if you have not already found Him.

------------

'Forcefully Urged In.'

Luke 16:16.

a)  The Law and the Prophets were until John;

b)  Since then the Good News of the Kingdom is preached,

c)  And everyone forces his way into it.

(This Second one makes me grateful to those people who introduced me to the Gospel and who taught me how to respond to it.)

PRAY: To preach the Gospel well.

------------

Chris.

As we continue reading through Luke's Gospel I am reminded of the importance of good presentation of the Word of God! Yes, the Word of God needs to be taught well, but also it should be enthusiastically read by True Believers. The more we read of the Word of God, the more we will understand it. READ it, UNDERSTAND it and PREACH it!

Two Little Whiles!

'Two Little Whiles!

John 16:16.

a)   In a little while

b)  You won't see Me anymore.

c)  But a little while after that,

d)  You will see Me again.

(This QT is about Two Little Whiles)

PRAY:  To be ready to meet with Jesus.

-----------

'A Living Hope!'

John 14:19.

a)  Before long

b)  The World will not see Me anymore,

c)  But you will see Me.

d)  Because I live,

e)  You also will live.

(This Second one reminds me of my Living Hope)

PRAY: Thanking God for A Living Hope.

-----------

Chris.

The statement of Christ: "The World will not see Me anymore," is still relevant and true today. Only the True Believer in the Lord will see Him again and be with Him throughout Eternity! It is really a purifying Hope that one day we are going to be with the Lord. Let us keep that Hope alive and follow him well.

There Is No Unrighteousness With God!

'There Is No Unrighteousness With God.

Romans 9:14.

a)  What shall we say then?

b)  Is there unrighteousness with God?

c)  Certainly not!

(This QT reminds me that There Is No Unrighteousness With God)

PRAY: Remembering that There Is No Unrighteousness With God.

----------

'A Clear Calling From God.'

Exodus 9:16.

a)  But for this purpose I have raised you up,

b)  To show you My Power,

c)  So that My Name

d)  May be proclaimed in all the Earth.

(This second one shows to me A Clear Calling From God)

PRAY: For Faith to obey any Clear Calling From God on our lives.

----------

Chris.

When God raises someone up in a Church or community setting, this is always for a special purpose. It is not referring to the raising of the dead but it means that God puts His Hand in a unique way on that person's life. We can be sure that, when God raises someone up, that person will glorify His Name! We should pray for God to raise up more people for His Glory!

A City With Good Fruit!

 'A City with Good Fruit.'

John 1:44.

a)  Now Philip

b)  Was from Bethsaida,

c)  The City of Andrew and Peter.

(This QT reveals to me A City With Good Fruit)

PRAY: For our village, town or city to have Good Fruit.

---------

'Philip, The Key To The Way To Jesus.'

John 12:21.

a)  So these came to Philip,

b)  Who was from Bethsaida in Galilee,

c)  And asked him,

d)  "Sir, we wish to see Jesus."

(This Second one reveals Philip as The Key To The Way To Jesus)

PRAY: For more key people in our Churches, leading people to Jesus.

---------

Chris.

Philip was a 'key' Disciple of the Lord! He was able to introduce people to Jesus. We still need such 'key' Disciples today, men and women who can introduce people to Jesus! There are not many people who have such gifts in the Churches. One of the important matters for prayer in the Churches today is that God would raise up Believers who can lead people to Christ.

What The Father Will Do!

'What The Father Will Do.'

John 16:15.

a)  All that the Father has is Mine;

b)  Therefore I said that He will take what is Mine

c)  And declare it to you.

(This QT reveals somewhat of What The Father Will Do)

PRAY:  To be sensitive to our Heavenly Father.

--------

'God's Lovingkindness And Faithfulness.'

Psalm 52:8.

a)  But as for me,

b)  I am like a green olive tree in God's House.

c)  I trust in God's Lovingkindness

d)  Forever and ever.

(Through this Second one I find God's Lovingkindness And Faithfulness)

PRAY: To appreciate God's Lovingkindness And Faithfulness more and more.

--------

Chris.

We need to consider ourselves in a positive light because of God's Lovingkindness and Faithfulness. There may be times when we face negative feelings, or negative words from other people but we should continue to consider God's Lovingkindness and Faithfulness. God's Purposes for us remain good! We should never forget that fact!

The Lord Has 'Likes'!

'The Lord Has "Likes"'

Romans 9:13.

a)  That is why the Scriptures say:

b)  That the Lord liked Jacob

c)  More than Esau.

(This QT teaches me that The Lord Has "Likes")

PRAY: To please the Lord daily.

-------

'Hearing The Message Concerning Christ,'

Romans 10:17.

a)  So Faith comes from hearing what is told,

b)  And what is heard

c)  Comes by the preaching

d)  Of the Message concerning Christ.

(This Second one convinces me that people need to be Hearing The Message Concerning Christ)

PRAY: For Preachers to preach The Message Concerning Christ.

-------

Chris.

The people who are responsible for sharing and preaching God's Word have a Holy responsibility! Their Message needs to impart Faith to their hearers. Faith comes from hearing what is told, so, if God's Pure Word is not taught and preached, Disciples will never be made. May God's Pure Word be taught regularly in the Churches! May God's Word have priority in our small groups and fellowship groups!

Three Significant Actions Of Jesus!

 'Three Significant Actions Of Jesus.'

John 1:43.

a)  The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee.

b)  He found Philip and said to him:

c)  "Follow Me."

(This QT teaches me Three Significant Actions Of Jesus)

PRAY: To follow Jesus well.

------

'John Took Time To Be With His Disciples.'

John 1:35.

a)  The next day

b)  Again

c)  John was standing with two of his disciples.

(This Second one reminds me that John Took Time To Be With His Disciples)

PRAY: To have enough time to spend with real Disciples of the Lord.

------

Chris.

Again, we are back in John's Gospel! This should inspire us to be good Disciples of the Lord and to come closer to Him. It is very clear, as we read this Gospel, that the Christian Life is very much about Fellowship with other Believers. Even John Baptist took time to be with his disciples. Leaders who take time to be with those whom they lead would surely produce good Disciples. As with the picture, good Disciples can share quality times together, fellowship as well as Bible Study and praying.

The Holy Spirit Always Glorifies Jesus!

'The Holy Spirit Always Glorifies Jesus.'

John 16:14.

a)  "He will Glorify Me

b)  "Because He will receive from what is Mine

c)  "And will tell it to you."

(This QT reminds me that The Holy Spirit Always Glorifies Jesus)

PRAY: For the Holy Spirit to glorify Jesus in our lives and environments.

-----

'The Holy Spirit As Teacher.'

John 14:25-26.

a)  "I have spoken these things while staying with you.

b)  "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit,

c)  "Whom the Father will send in My Name,

d)  "Will teach you everything

e)  "And will cause you to remember everything that I have said to you."

(This Second one shows me The Holy Spirit As Teacher)

PRAY: To respond well to The Holy Spirit As Teacher

-----

Chris.

Here we have the Holy Spirit as Advocate and Teacher. There are so many different facets and functions of the Holy Spirit! It would benefit any True Church to have Bible Studies on the subject of "The Person And Ministry Of The Holy Spirit". We need both to know the Holy Spirit and to be filled with Him! The Holy Spirit remains until today as the Gift from Father God.

God's Unusual Ways!

'God's Unusual Ways.'

Romans 9:12.

a)  She was told:

b)  "The older

c)  "Will serve the younger."

(This QT reminds me of God's Unusual Ways)

PRAY: To always be ready to serve.

----

'Apostle Paul's Example: Serving The Lord.'

Acts 20:19.

a)  Serving the Lord with all humility

b)  And with tears

c)  And with trials that happened to me through the plots of the Jews.

(Through this Second one I find Apostle Paul's Example: Serving The Lord)

PRAY: To be able to serve the Lord with all humility.

----

Chris.

It is good to be practical when we research Bible Characters. Here we have the example of the Apostle Paul. He did not write much about his leadership but he wrote much about his serving! Here is a good example for us today. Leadership is a popular subject to teach in Churches but serving is not! To me, that is strange and quite anti-Biblical! It may be good for us to research the subject of serving, I am sure that we will find some real "jewels" if we do!

A New Name From The Lord Jesus!

'A New Name From The Lord Jesus.'

John 1:42.

a)  Andrew brought Simon to Jesus.

b)  Jesus looked at him and said,

c)  "You are Simon, the son of John.

d)  "You will be called Cephas."

e)  (Which, when translated, is Peter.)

(This QT teaches me that Simon had A New Name From The Lord Jesus)

PRAY: For a New Name From The Lord Jesus if you need one.

---

'A Blessed Revelation From Heavenly Father.'

Matthew 16:17.

a)  Jesus replied:

b)  "Blessed are you,

c)  "Simon son of Jonah,

d)  "For this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood,

e)  "But by My Father in Heaven."

(Through this Second one I understand that there can be Blessed Revelations from our Heavenly Father.)

PRAY: For a good personal relationship with God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

---

Chris.

When the Lord uses the Word "Blessed" that has great and deep meaning! Sometimes, we all too frequently use the word without considering what we are saying, or the true meaning of the word. Our use of spiritual vocabulary sometimes comes short of God's ideal and God's standard. Especially the word "Blessed" seems to be open to misuse and abuse. May the Lord Bless our food today!

When The Spirit Of Truth Comes!

'When The Spirit Of Truth Comes!

John 16:13.

a)  When the Spirit of Truth comes,

b)  He will guide you into all the Truth,

c)  For he will not speak on His Own authority,

d)  But whatever He hears He hears

e)  He will speak,

f)  And He will declare to you the things that are to come.

(This QT teaches me what happens When The Spirit Of Truth Comes)

Read and PRAY through the Gospel of John carefully.

-----------------------------

'The Holy Spirit Glorifies Christ.'

John 16:14.

a)  He will Glorify Me,

b)  For He will take what is Mine

c)  And declare it to you.

(This Second one reminds me that The Holy Spirit Glorifies Christ)

PRAY: For the Holy Spirit within us to Glorify Christ.

----------------------------

Chris.

I was taught as a new Believer that I should read John's Gospel as my first Bible Book. It was good advice! I usually give the same advice to new Believers today. John's Gospel is simple to understand and simple to follow. We get a good foundational understanding of God and His Word in John! It is good if the Churches give the new Believers a good start at living the Christian life.

The Purpose Of God According To Election!

'The Purpose Of God According To Election.'
Romans 9:11.
a)  Though they were not yet born
b)  And had done nothing either good or bad -
c)  In order that God's Purpose of Election might continue
d)  Not because of works
e)  But because of Him Who calls
(This QT helps me to understand The Purpose Of God According To Election)
PRAY: To respond well to Him Who calls.
---
'The Lord Knows All Things.'
Exodus 9:12.
a)  But the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh,
b)  And he did not listen to them,
c)  As the Lord had spoken to Moses.
(This Second one reminds me that The Lord Knows All Things)
PRAY: Trusting the Lord, Who knows all things.
---
Chris.
God's Purpose of Election is a continuing purpose. It is not just a one time historical fact and event. His Purpose of Election is still very relevant today. God still calls people to Himself today! When He calls, we need to respond well to Him. This is where "working out our Salvation" begins. Every True Believer need to align themselves with God's Purpose of Election.

A Good Priority!

'A Good Priority.'

John 1:41.

a)  The first thing Andrew did

b)  Was to find his brother Simon

c)  And tell him:

d)  "We have found the Messiah"

e)  (That is, the Christ)

(This QT reveals to me A Good Priority)

PRAY: To have the correct priorities in our lives.

------------------------------

'Finding.'

a)  Matthew 7:7-8; Luke 11:9. Seek and you will find.

b)  Matthew 7:14. Few people find the Way which leads to Life.

c)  Matthew 11:29. In Christ we find rest for our souls.

d)  Matthew 13:44. Treasure in the field.

e)  Matthew 17:27. Money in the mouth of a fish.

f)  Matthew 20:6. People standing idly by.

g)  Matthew 26:40 & 43. Disciples sleeping.

h)  Luke 1:30. Favour with God.

i)  Luke 15:4-6. The lost sheep.

j)  Luke 15:8-9. A lost coin.

k)  Luke 24:2. The stone rolled away from the tomb.

l)  Acts 17:27. The Lord.

m)  Acts 28:14. Brethren.

n)  Philippians 3:9. In Christ.

o)  2 Timothy 1:18. Mercy from the Lord.

p)  Hebrews 4:16. Grace to help us in our time of need.

(This Second one encourages me to find lost sheep)

PRAY: For lost sheep to be found.

------------------------------

Chris.

God wants us to esteem the Brethren! We love the Brethren! Let us pray for the Brethren in our churches. Most of the important decisions in our Churches will be made by the Brethren. I like the picture of the Church being like a Dwelling place for both the Lord and for His People. Being 'In Christ' is such a great privilege and Blessing.

Jesus Understood His Disciples Very Well!

Jesus Understood His Disciples Very Well!

John 16:12.

a)  "I still have many things

b)  "To say to you,

c)  "But you cannot bear them now."

(This QT teaches me that Jesus Understood His Disciples Very Well)

PRAY: To hear well the things that Jesus wants to say to us.

---------------------------

Only The Lord Can Deliver Us.'

Micah 7:9.

a)  I will bear the indignation of the Lord,

b)  Because I have sinned against Him,

c)  Until He plead my cause,

d)  And execute judgment for me:

e)  He will bring me forth to the light,

f)  And I shall behold His Righteousness.

(Through this Second one I understand that Only The Lord Can Deliver Me)

PRAY: For the Lord to deliver us when necessary.

---------------------------

Chris.

Micah understood what it meant to 'bear the indignation of the Lord'. This understanding came as a result of Micah's sin. Actually, realization of the Lord's indignation can lead us to a place of real repentance. Only the Lord can bring us out of darkness into His Light! Then, in His light, we can behold His Righteousness.

Our Father Isaac!

'Our Father Isaac!

Romans 9:10.

a)  And not only this,

b)  But when Rebecca had conceived by one man,

c)  Even by our father Isaac.

(This QT causes me to consider Our Father Isaac)

PRAY: For God's Blessings on His peoples' families.

--------------------------

'With Abraham, Isaac And Jacob.'

Matthew 8:11.

a)  And I say to you that many will come from East and West,

b)  And sit down with

c)  Abraham, Isaac and Jacob

d)  In the Kingdom of Heaven.

(Through this Second one I can anticipate sitting down With Abraham, Isaac And Jacob)

PRAY: For confidence in God's Gift of Eternal Life.

--------------------------

Chris.

Many people will come from all over the World into Eternal Life in the Kingdom of Heaven. If we carefully read the Scriptures regarding the Kingdom of Heaven, we find that it is an amazing and wonderful realm! Modern-day Bible Teachers and Preachers should never neglect the Message of the Kingdom of Heaven.

He Heard John Speak And Followed Jesus!

'He Heard John Speak And Followed Jesus.'

John 1:40.

a)  One of the two who heard John speak,

b)  And followed Him (Jesus),

c)  Was Andrew,

d)  Simon Peter's brother.

(This QT teaches me that He Heard John Speak And Followed Jesus)

PRAY:  To listen to God's Word and Follow Jesus Well.

------------------------

'They Sincerely And Promptly Followed Jesus.'

Matthew 4:20 & 22.

a)  They immediately left their nets and followed Him.

b)  And immediately they left the boat

c)  And their father,

d)  And followed Him.

(Through this Second one I see that They Sincerely And Promptly Followed Jesus)

PRAY: To Sincerely and Promptly Follow Jesus.

------------------------

Chris.

Reading through the New Testament from beginning to end is a very good way to read the Bible. Of course we can read some Old Testament portions as we read through the New, but having our main Bible Reading focus on the New Testament can really help our Bible understanding and Faith to grow.

When The Holy Spirit Comes!

'When The Holy Spirit Comes.'

John 16:8.

a)  And when He has come,

b)  He will convict the World of sin,

c)  And of righteousness,

d)  And of judgment:

(This QT teaches me about something that happens When The Holy Spirit Comes)

'Lord, Where Are You Going.'

John 13:36.

a)  Simon Peter said to Him,

b)  "Lord, where are you going?"

c)  Jesus answered him;

d)  "Where I am going, you cannot follow Me now,

e)  "But you will follow afterward."

(Through this Second one I learn to trust the Lord more)

PRAY:  To trust the Lord for His Plans for us.

-----------------------

Chris.

This Second one teaches me to trust the Lord in all things. We may not be able to follow the Lord in all the ways in which we want to follow Him but we can and should trust Him. It is never wise to ask the Lord something when He has already given us His Word about it! The key phrase today is: Trust the Lord!

'The Lord Appeared To Abraham.'

Genesis 18:1.

a)  And the Lord appeared to Abraham

b)  By the oaks of Mamre,

c)  As he sat at the door of his tent

d)  In the heat of the day.

(Through this Second one I know that The Lord Appeared To Abraham)

PRAY: To always be attentive to the Lord.

----------------------

Chris.

Just because some true event is recorded in the Bible it does not mean the same, or a similar event has to happen today! Yes! The Lord did appear to Abraham, but the probability is that we will not see the Lord until we meet with Him in Glory. We should not take the Word of God out of context or try to make it apply to our lives out of context.

'A Challenge To Belief.'

John 11:40.

a)  Jesus said to her,

b)  "Did I not tell you

c)  "That if you believed

d)  "You would see the Glory of God?"

(This Second one reveals to me A Challenge To Belief)

PRAY: To Believe the Words of Jesus Christ.

---------------------

Chris.

Again, in this QT and Second One, we are back to the Words of Jesus Christ! These Words are a part of the foundation of our Faith. We need to heed and take seriously the Words of Jesus Christ. We also need to thank God for the access that we have to the Words of Jesus Christ in God's Word - the Bible.

d)  Will see the Lord.

(Through this Second one I desire to live in Peace And Holiness)

PRAY: To live in Peace And Holiness.

--------------------

Chris.

Pursuit of Peace with all people should be a part of every True Believer's life. Pursuit of Peace with all people needs to be accompanied by holiness. Without holiness no one will see the Lord. Let us follow this calling for our lives! Peace and Holiness are excellent virtues to desire.
