'Remember.'
Revelation 3:3.
a) To remember is something that the Church in Sardis needed to do.
b) They were to remember how they heard the Word of God.
c) They were to remember how they received the Word of God.
d) They were to hold fast to that Word.
e) They were to repent.
f) If the Sardis Church did not watch, the Lord would come upon them like a thief.
g) They will not know the hour in which the Lord comes.

Colossians 1:7.
a) Was a Teacher.
b) Was a fellow Minister with Apostle Paul.
c) Was a Faithful Minister of Christ.
d) Had a Calling to the Church in Colosse.

The Church in Sardis needed to repent. This was both necessary and urgent. I am so sure that the Lord did not want to come to them as a thief. He wanted them to be ready for His Coming. The Word of God was a vitally important part of the Ministry in the Sardis Church. They really needed to hold fast to that Word.
