Protect Our Church Elders From Gossip!

‘Protect Our Church Elders From Gossip.’
1 Timothy 5:19.
a)  Do not accept or do not receive.
b)  Any accusation against an Elder.
c)  Unless it is supported.
d)  This becomes a principle, a basis for Church health.
e)  It has to be supported by two or three witnesses.
(Through this QT I know that we should Protect Our Church Elders From Gossip)
------
‘Where Is Our Place In The Story?’
Luke 15:11-32.
a)  Luke 15:11. Jesus spoke about a man who had two sons.
b)  Luke 15:12. The younger one was greedy – a “give me” person.
c)  Luke 15:12. The father, wanting to be fair, divided the inheritance between his sons.
d)  Luke 15:13. The younger son left home to go to a far country and spent all he had on wild living.
e)  Luke 15:14. A severe famine came to that country and the wayward son began to be in need.
f)  Luke 15:15. This wayward son went and attached himself to a pig farm working for the pig farmer. (He must have been a Gentile)
g)  Luke 15:16. No one gave him anything he even ate pig’s food.
h)  Luke 15:17. The wayward son came to his senses and started thinking about his home.
i)  Luke 15:18. He decided to go back and confess his sin to his father.
j)  Luke 15:19. He planned to be a hired servant of his father and not a son.(He was humbly correct)
k)  Luke 15:20. The father saw him in the distance coming home and went to compassionately welcome his son home.
l)  Luke 15:21. The son frankly confessed his sin and unworthiness to his father.
m)  Luke 15:22. The father would not listen to him, he just wanted to give him:-
1-A robe.
2-A ring.
3-Sandals.
n)  Luke 15:23. It was the time for a big party because the lost son came home.
o)  Luke 15:24. They all celebrated because the lost son came home.
p)  Luke 15:25. The elder son, who had been busy working in the field, came home and heard all the noise of celebration.
q)  Luke 15:26. This elder son asked a servant what was going on.
r)  Luke 15:27. The servant told him all the story about the son coming home.
s)  Luke 15:28-30. The older son was so angry and jealous about this matter. (He had forgotten his daily benefits)
t)  Luke 15:31. The father reminded the elder son that he was a blessed son.
u)  Luke 15:32. The celebration was correct, really correct, because the lost son had been found.
(Through this Second one I ask myself: Where is my place in the story?)
------
Chris.
The ring was, and still is, a sign of a covenant. A wedding ring is a sign of the covenant between the bride groom and the bride. A ring passed down in a family is a sign of closeness and covenant in the family. The people who pierce their bodies in an unbiblical way and wear rings in strange places are actually showing the sign of a covenant with spiritual darkness. The meaning of a ring is always significant. In life generally we should be careful whom we receive rings from.
