Take Away The Fat!

'Take Away The Fat.'

Leviticus 3:3.

a)  Then the one presenting the offering

b)  Must present a gift to the Lord

c)  From the Peace Offering sacrifice:

d)  He must remove the fat that covers the entrails

e)  And all the fat that surrounds the entrails.

(This QT is about Offerings to the Lord)

PRAY: To offer Biblical Offerings to the Lord.

---

'Self Examination First.'

1 Corinthians 11:28.

a)  A person should examine himself first,

b)  And in this way

c)  Let him eat the bread

d)  And drink of the cup.

(Through this Second one I understand Self Examination First)

PRAY: To accept Self Examination First)

---

Chris.

Self examination is a necessary part of real Christian living. Before we do anything else we need to examine ourselves. This is especially important in relationship to taking Holy Communion. After self examination we are encouraged to partake of the bread and the cup. May the Lord help all those people who are struggling during this National time of pain in the UK.

Correct Thinking Is Important!

 'Correct Thinking Is Important.'

Romans 12:3.

a)  For by the Grace given to me

b)  I tell everyone among you

c)  Not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think,

d)  But to think soberly,

e)  Each according to the measure of Faith

f)  That God has apportioned.

(This QT reminds me that Correct Thinking Is Important)

PRAY: To think soberly and correctly.

-------------------------

'The Decision And Initiative Of The Holy Spirit.'

1 Corinthians 12:11.

a)  It is one and the same Spirit,

b)  Distributing as He decides to each person

c)  Who produces all these things.

(Through this Second one I esteem The Decision And Initiative Of The Holy Spirit)

PRAY: To be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

----------------------

Chris.

Praying soberly and correctly should be the first priority and foundation for our prayers. Some people go off on a charismatic tangent and become cult-like and "spooky" in their prayers. We should not do this. Our prayers should come from, and bring us back to, the Heart of Father God. Being filled with the Holy Spirit should bring us humbly to our Father God.

It Had Not Yet Happened!

'It Had Not Yet Happened.'

Acts 8:16.

a)  For He had not yet fallen on any of them,

b)  But they had only been Baptised

c)  In the Name of the Lord Jesus.

(This QT reveals that It Had Not Yet Happened)

PRAY: To experience the Holy Spirit's falling upon us.

 ----------------------

'It Was God's Doing.'

Genesis 45:8.

a)  Now, therefore,

b)  It was not you who sent me here,

c)  But God;

d)  And He has made me:

i)  A father to Pharaoh

ii)  And lord of all his household

iii)  And Ruler over all the Land of Egypt.

(Through this Second One I can see that It Was God's Doing)

PRAY: To respond well to God's Working in our lives.

----------------------

Chris.

Reading the Book of Genesis really gives us a good foundation for understanding Bible history. To read through the Scriptures from beginning to end as initial Bible Reading self discipline is a really good habit. Once we have read through we can surely develop our own Bible Reading habits and practices. We learn to appreciate the Sovereignty of God!

The Blood And Worship!

 'The Blood And Worship.'

Leviticus 3:2.

a)  You shall lay your hand

b)  On the head of the offering

c)  And slaughter it

d)  At the entance of the Tent of Meeting;

e)  And Aaron's sons the Priests

f)  Shall dash the blood on the sides of the altar.

(This QT helps me to understand The Blood And Worship)

PRAY: To fulfill our God-given Priesthood.

---------------------

'Get Rid Of The Fat.'

Leviticus 3:3.

a)  Then the one presenting the Offering

b)  Must present a gift to the Lord from the Peace Offering Sacrifice:

c)  He must remove the fat that covers the entrails

d)  And all the fat that covers the entrails:

(This Second one gives a clear instruction: Get Rid Of The Fat)

PRAY: To carefully prepare our gifts to the Lord.

----------------------

Chris.

We should ensure that our Gifts and Offerings are acceptable to the Lord. Biblical giving is something that really pleases Him. God does not need to be "tipped", He desires offerings that come from our hearts! We should consider this everytime when we are called to give an offering!

A Vital Transformation!

'A Vital Transformation.'

Romans 12:2.

a)  Do not be conformed to this world,

b)  But be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

c)  Then you will be able to test and approve

d)  What is the:

1-Good.

2-Pleasing.

3-Pefect.

e)  Will of God.

(This QT reveals A Vital Transformation)

PRAY: For this Vital Transformation in your life.

-------------------

'A Good Lesson To Learn.'

Ephesians 5:10.

a)  And learn

b)  In your own experiences

c)  What is fully pleasing to the Lord.

(This Second one teaches me A Good Lesson To Learn)

PRAY: To learn this Good Lesson.

-------------------

Chris.

Here is another Prayer that I am sure is pleasing to the Lord: Prayer for vital transformation in our life. The Scripture tells us that it is impossible for us to change ourselves BUT the Lord can change us. If we are aware of the fact that change, or changes, are necessary, we need to come to Him in humble Prayer. Surely He answers that kind of Prayer.

An Important Ministry!

 'An Important Ministry.'

Acts 8:15.

a)  These two went down and prayed for them

b)  So that

c)  They would receive the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38.

(This QT reveals An Important Ministry)

PRAY: For the ministries of your local Church.

------------------

'A Meaningful Testimony.'

Acts 20:21.

a)  Testifying both to Jews and Greeks

b)  Of repentance toward God

c)  And of Faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

(This Second one is A Meaningful Testimony)

PRAY: To have A Meaningful Testimony.

------------------

Chris.

We need to esteem and pray for the ministries in our local Churches. Never should we belittle the ministries of other Believers. If all ministries had these concepts I am sure that the life inside the Church would be both happy and free. We should be Praying for the Ministries of the local Church.

Peace And Purity!

'Peace And Purity.'

Leviticus 3:1.

a)  If his offering

b)  Is a sacrifice of Peace Offering,

c)  If he offers an animal from the herd,

d)  Male or female,

e)  He shall offer it without blemish before the Lord.

(This QT reminds me that Peace And Purity go together)

PRAY:  That our offerings shall be without blemish before the Lord.

----------------

'A Holy Judgment.'

Amos 4:2.

a)  The Lord God has sworn by His Holiness

b)  That, behold, the days are coming upon you

c)  When they shall take you away with hooks

d)  Even the last of you with fish hooks.

(This Second one reveals to me A Holy Judgment)

PRAY: That by God's Grace we can avoid this Holy Judgment.

----------------

Chris.

It is good to have a correct and Biblical concept about our offerings to the Lord. We should never offer carelessly or thoughtlessly to Him. "Without blemish" in every way is a good standard to have. Offerings are a part of Worship, that should always be our concept. "Without blemish" is more important than "how much"!

In View Of God's Mercy

'In View Of God's Mercy.'

Romans 12:1.

a)  Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters,

b)  In view of God's Mercy,

c)  To offer your bodies a living sacrifice,

d)  Holy and pleasing to God -

e)  This is your true and proper Worship.

(This QT teaches me what to do In View Of God's Mercy)

PRAY: To respond to God's Mercy well.

---------------

'Agree Together.'

1 Corinthians 1:10.

a)  I appeal to you, brothers,

b)  In the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

c)  That all of you agree together,

d)  So that there be no divisions among you

e)  And that you be united in mind and conviction.

(Through this Second one I know that it is important to Agree Together)

PRAY: To Agree Together with other Believers in our Churches.

---------------

Chris.

It is good and Biblical to agree together with other Believers in our Church, Ministry or Mission. This is not something that automatically happens but it is something that we deliberately need to work towards! Agreeing together is not only the correct thing to do but it is also a peaceful, happy experience for those people who do it.

Caring Apostles!

'Caring Apostles.'

Acts 8:14.

a)  When the Apostles who were still in Jerusalem

b)  Heard that the people in Samaria

c)  Had accepted the Word of God,

d)  They sent Peter and John to them.

(This QT shows me Caring Apostles)

PRAY: For Church Leaders to be people who care for God's Flock.

-------------

'Church Speakers Should Speak Well.'

Acts 14:1.

a)  In Iconium

b)  Paul and Barnabas went as usual to the Synagogue.

c)  They spoke so well

d)  That a great many Jews and Greeks believed.

(This Second one reminds me that Church Speakers Should Speak Well)

PRAY: For those who speak God's Message in our Churches to speak well.

-------------

Chris.

We should definitely be continually praying for our Church Leaders. Their first duty as Leaders is surely to be caring well for God's Flock. There are so many different aspects of 'care' and all of them are meaningful and important. Praying for these Leaders to Teach and Preach well is very necessary!

b)  Numbers 3:3. The sons of Aaron the priest.

c)  Joshua 6:19. The vessels in the Treasury of the Lord.

d)  2 Chronicles 31:6. The tithes of the Children of Israel and Judah.

e)  Ezra 3:5. The set feasts of the Lord.

f)  Hebrews 7:28. The Son of God.

g)  Hebrews 10:20. A new and living way.

(This QT shows me some of the Things Consecrated)

PRAY: To fulfill our calling in God.

------------

'The Lord Is So Good.'

Psalm 146:7.

a)  The Lord executes justice for the oppressed.

b)  The Lord gives food for the hungry.

c)  The Lord sets the prisoners free.

(Through this Second one I proclaim that The Lord Is So Good)

PRAY: Thanking God for His Goodness.

------------

Chris.

The Lord gives food for the hungry. I cannot understand people, especially Believers, who criticize the Ministry of feeding the hungry. This is a Scriptural Ministry! The Churches and Ministries that are called to feed the hungry need our Prayers and support (Actually all Churches could and should be involved in some way!) It is impossible to tell in the present tense what effect this Ministry has, but surely Eternity will prove it!

(This QT makes me exclaim: To Him Be Glory Forever)

PRAY: Giving Glory to God.

-----------

'Truthful And Beautiful Worship.'

1 Timothy 1:17.

a)  To the King of the ages:

1-Immortal.

2-Invisible.

3-The only God.

b)  Be Honour and Glory

c)  Forever and ever.

d)  Amen.

(In this Second one I find Truthful And Beautiful Worship)

PRAY: For our Worship to be Truthful And Beautiful.

-----------

Chris.

What a privilege for the young minister Timothy to be taught and discipled by the Apostle Paul. This is not only an historical fact but it is also a lesson for us to learn in the modern day Church! Worship, Praise, Prayer and Bible Study are basic exercises to be learned today. The Churches that stick to Bible ways and keep free from "gimmicks" will be Blessed and Successful Churches.

Believing, Continuing And Seeing!

Acts 8:13.

a)  Believing.

----------

Chris.

Words are not meaningless! There are all kinds of words that are spoken - some of them good and others not. We are enjoined in the Scriptures to speak words that are helpful and meaningful. This is actually difficult for cynical people, they speak words that criticise unnecessarily and "pull" other people down.

Celebrating In A Biblical Way!

 'Celebrating In A Biblical Way.'

Ezra 3:4.

a)  They celebrated the Feast of Shelters

b)  As prescribed in the Law,

c)  Sacrificing the number of burnt offerings

d)  Specified for each day of the Festival.

(This QT reveals to me Celebrating In A Biblical Way)

PRAY: That our Church Celebrations be Biblical.

b)  Strength.

c)  Graceful Frame.

(Through this Second one I find Three Important Parts Of The Human Frame)

PRAY: For Wisdom from God to take care well of our Human Frame.

---------

Chris.

We should always give thanks to God for the health and strength that He gives  to us. Without strength from God, it would be impossible to perform His Will. This is one of the reasons why we need to maintain as much good health as is possible. There are certain things that we can do and eat that will help us to have good health and strength!

An Incorrect Motive!

 'An Incorrect Motive.'

a)  Who has given me anything

b)  That I need to pay back?

c)  Everything under Heaven is mine.

(This Second one teaches me about Job's Wrong Concept)

PRAY: To be free from Wrong Concepts.

--------

Chris.

We should not have wrong concepts about other people's generosity towards us! There are many people in this World that have similar concepts to the Scripture mentioned here from Job. Everything under Heaven is not ours, it belongs to God and He may give it to whom He wills.

Initial Response To The Gospel!

'Initial Response To The Gospel.'

Acts 8:12.

a)  But when they believed Philip

b)  As he preached the Good News about the Kingdom of God

PRAY: For people to Believe the Message of the Resurrection.

-------

Chris.

Praying for our Churches is always a good thing to do! Pray that the people in the Church will have a positive response to the Gospel. The Crucifixion Message and the Resurrection Message are vitally important parts of the Gospel - in order to be saved, one needs to believe both these Messages! If Christ spoke about the Kingdom of God, surely we should speak out the same Message.

The Positive Power Of Fear!

 'The Positive Power Of Fear.'

Ezra 3:3.

a)  They set the altar on its foundations,

b)  For they lived in fear of the peoples of the lands,

c)  And offered burnt offerings to the Lord on it,

d)  Both morning and evening.

(This QT teaches me The Positive Power Of Fear)

PRAY: To have The Positive Power Of Fear.

------

'Be Still.'

Psalm 46:10.

a)  Be still,

b)  And know that I am God.

c)  I will be exalted among the Nations,

d)  I will be exalted in the Earth.

(Through this Second one I find the benefits of Being Still)

PRAY: To know God more.

------

Chris.

It is good for us to Pray! Here we read that we can Pray to have victory and The Positive Power Of Prayer! There are times in this unique life that God has given to the Believer that we need simply to be still and know that He indeed is God. The old hymn says: "Trust and obey, there is no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey!

The Christian Life!
