Singing Praises to the Lord accompanied by some kind of musical instrument is something that is surely pleasing to Him! Right through the Scriptures we can read about praising voices and musical instruments. Ministers should encourage Church Praise Bands or instrumentalists to seek the anointing of God on their ministries and also take time to prepare for their ministries.

The foolish people had no oil for their lamps. This has nothing to do with an oil shortage, these people were simply careless. As True Believers, we need to be prepared for all things. Our thoughtfulness and consideration about others are  something that we need to daily exercise.

We should not take the Judgment of God lightly! The Bible tells us that the Ax of God's Judgment is already poised! We should never take the Judgment of God lightly! This is something that I really want to emphasize! God is Saviour but He is also Judge! God wants His people to be spotlessly clean in their relationships and also their financial matters.

The Lord has proven Himself through His Word and also by people's testimony that He is to lead us through and out from difficult circumstances. When we face these difficulties we really need to look to the Lord. He rescues us from thr flood and He leads us out of the desert. Just as the song goes: "There is nothing too difficult for Him!"

Our habits are important. We should pray for and practice good habits. This is a part of self-discipline in the life of the Believer. Good habits and Good manners promote good fellowship! How lovely, if in our Churches, gracious words would stream forth from people's mouths! This would mean that the Blessing of the Lord is already flowing in the Church, producing beautiful fruit! Before anything else, the Church is supposed to be a place of fellowship and worship. A place where the Name of the Lord is magnified!

Peter took him by the right hand. Peter helped him! The man was healed but he needed a little help to "get going" again. This frequently happens today. People get healed by God through Prayer, but many times they need help to get going! This is natural. Those people involved in Healing Ministry need to have the same Compassion and Understanding that Peter had!

Luke was a physician. He must have been very accurate about specifics! The way in which he presents his Gospel is very clear and easy to understand. Thank God that there are many physicians who are Believers in the Lord. We should pray for them!

When the Lord speaks to us we need to respond to Him in an appropriate way. Sometimes, as in the Second one, He actually asks us what do we want? It is both Gracious and Amazing that the Lord should ask such a question and we should answer Him carefully! This is all a part of our "relationship" with Him.

I am frequently amazed at the Creation of Creator God. His Creation was so well planned and thought out. Sometimes we take His Creation for granted. Creator God has made such a wonderful variety of Creation. He reveals Himself somewhat through man whom He created in His Own Image.

I am always Blessed when I read Matthew's Gospel because of its specifics and clarity! I really like to read through the Bible as it is. (In the same order, Book by Book, as it is given to us. God is the Author of His Word and I am sure that it is laid out in the order that He desires. As we love and read the Word of God more and more, we will also understand more and more!

The Promise of entering God's Rest still stands! This should be especially comforting for the True Believer. There are two realms of Rest. Firstly, when we truly receive Christ as our Lord and Saviour we enter God's Rest. Secondly, when the True Believer goes to Heaven, they enter God's Rest. Today, we can thank God for His Rest.

The Scriptures tell us that Paul explained certain things that the people needed to know. This should, very much, be a part of the Ministry of the Church Leaders today. The Ministry of Explanation! Very often Believers ar left struggling to understand Bible Studies and Sermons because no clear explanation is given! It is good to introduce, or restore, explanation into our Bible Teachig so that people can clearly understand!

Learning the Truth of God's Word is useful.  Bible Study is also very useful. The Truth is powerful, Jesus said that if we know it, the Truth will bring Freedom to us. True Believers should never be stuck. There are many many reasons why we get stuck, too many to mention . If we know that we are stuck we need to come to God in Prayer and also come to His Word.

We simply need to obey God's calling on our lives and as we follow Him, He develops the Ministry within us. It is not only us trying to develop and learning, it is also God working within us.

It is important to have a Biblical response to the end times rather than emotive one/ End times Teaching is very clear and we need to follow that Teaching rather than humanly devised fables. The Scriptures invite us to search themselves, and so we should do. Coming to a Biblical understanding of the End times is not difficult.

Within the ultra-competitive age in which we live we are frequently pushed to be "the best", rather than to consider other peole, Churches and Missions have been broken by the ultra-competitive age. The basic foundation of the life of every True Believer is their lived out Christianity. This should be the same for every Church and Mission. We need to forget about the competition and just simply and humbly get on with the work of Disciple making and Mission.

The Word (the Lord Jesus Christ) gave Life to everything. He is the Life-Giver! Not only do we receive Life from Him but He also gives us Light. We can trust Him if we have the right, correct and Biblical concept of God. It is good to pray for the UK royal family and all people whom we may know who are suffering the loss of a beloved one at this time.

There are many things, naturally, that we may feel dismayed about. The problem comes when we hold on to dismay. Dismay can open the door to many negative thoughts, emotions and actions. It is something that we need to bring to the Lord in Prayer and ask Him to help us. Unfortunately, retained dismay can lead to depression. Many people have the Fear of flying, if we have such fears God is able to help us.

Here is an "if"! Jesus said: "If you remain in Me". This "if" is specifically related to answered Prayer. If we are not remaining in Christ and His Words are not remaining in us, how can we have confidence in our prayers bein answered? The Lord says that it is possible for His Words to remain in us - let us make sure that they do!

We should always take heed to the Words of the Lord Jesus as revealed in the New Testament. These are probably the most important Words that are spoken into our lives. We should treasure and hide the Words of God in our hearts so that we do not sin against Him.  Here, our Lord is speaking about covetousness, We should not covet!

The Egyptians were instructed to go to Joseph. Are we really sensitive as individuals and Churches to simply follow God's instructions? God really does know best for us and He should always be our "first point of reference"! The safest situation for us, our family and our Church to be in is when we are following God's instructions.

It is good to fear the Name of the Lord. This is a simple but profound statement. The Bible teaches us that it is good to have the Fear of the Lord. We should never take the Lord and His Presence for granted. We can ask the Lord to help us have the Fear of the Lord.

If we take time to think about what the word "priesthood" here it has a unique meaning  It means a people who offer sacrifices that are pleasing to God. A true priest seeks first to live a life pleasing to God and then, secondly, to serve the people well. A true priest not only serves within the "comfort zone" of the Church, but also reaches out into the needs and tragedies of the community. 

Honest Christian Employees!

Titus 2:10.

a)  Not to steal from employers,

b)  But to show that they can be fully trusted

c)  So that in every way

d)  They will make the Teaching

e)  About God our Savior attractive.

PRAY: For the modern Church growth to be like the Early Church Growth.

There is such a powerful and clear beginning to the Book of Acts (the history of the early Church). Much of the modern Church has lost that power and clarity BUT it does not have to be lost forever! God calls His People to turn to Him, humble themselves and Pray. God can restore His Church! I believe that God wants to restore His Church. God calls and patiently waits!

The Words of the Lord Jesus that are revealed to us in the writings of John's Gospel are very clear. We are to simply follow them and obey them by Faith. If any of us are having difficulty with Bible Reading or Bible Centred devotions, I suggest that we turn to John's Gospel and start fresh from there. 

The Ultimate Creator!

Both Life and Light are things that we cannot do without. Both of these things come to us from God. He is really the Source of our natural and spiritual life. It is really significant that Jesus Christ our Lord calls Himself THE Life and THE Light! We should trust Him day-by-day!
