Four Simple Basics For The Church!

‘Four Simple Basics For The Church.’
1 Thessalonians 5:25-28.
a)      1 Thessalonians 5:25. Pray.
b)      1 Thessalonians 5:26. Welcome and greet all True Believers. (Then we will welcome non believers well)
c)       1 Thessalonians 5:27. Public reading of the Word of God.
d)      1 Thessalonians 5:28. Consciously living in the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
(Through this QT I find Four Simple Basics For The Church)
----------------
‘If It Is Possible.’
Romans 12:17-18.
a)      Repay no one with evil for evil.
b)      Show respect for what everyone else believes is good. (This is for in Church and also helps keep the unity of the Church)
c)       If it is possible.
d)      As much as depends on us. (Individually and as a Church)
e)      Live peaceably with all people.
(Through this Second one: If It Is Possible, I see that my in Church attitudes are very important)
----------------
Chris.
Consciously living in the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is basic for every True Believer, family of True Believers and for the Church. Grace and Truth go together and flow together. We have been Saved, are Saved and will be Saved by Grace. The Grace of God is also our Instructor, we are taught by Grace how to live with other people. Amazing Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

These People Need To Repent!

‘These People Need To Repent.’
Proverbs 30:12-14.
a)      Proverbs 30:12. People who are pure in their own eyes and yet are not cleansed of their filth.
b)      Proverbs 30:13. People whose eyes are arrogant.
c)       Proverbs 30:13. People whose glances are so disdainful.
d)      Proverbs 30:14. People whose teeth are swords.
e)       Proverbs 30:14. People whose jaws are set with knives to devour the poor and simple people from off the Earth and the needy people from among mankind.
(This QT clearly shows to me that These People Need To Repent)
 ---------------
‘The Greatest Ever Miracle.’
(The Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ)
Matthew 28:1-10.
a)      Matthew 28:1. The two Marys went to look at the tomb of Jesus Christ.
b)      Matthew 28:2. There was a violent earthquake and at the same time an Angel of the Lord came down from Heaven went to the tomb and rolled away the stone at the entrance.
c)       Matthew 28:3. The Angel’s face was like lightning and his garments as white as snow.
d)      Matthew 28:4. The guards of the tomb were so terrified that they shook with fear and became like dead men.
e)       Matthew 28:5-7. The Angel of the Lord said to the women:-
1-      Do not be afraid. I know that you are looking for Jesus Who was Crucified.
2-      He is not here.
3-      He is risen just as He said.
4-      Come and see the place where He was laying.
5-      Go quickly and tell His Disciples that He has risen from the dead and that He is going ahead of them into Galilee.
6-      In Galilee the Disciples would see Jesus.
f)        Matthew 28:7. Then the Angel of the Lord finished talking to the two Marys.
g)      Matthew 28:8. The two Marys:-
1-      Hurried away from the tomb.
2-      Were afraid yet filled with Joy.
3-      Ran to tell Jesus’ Disciples.
h)      Matthew 28:9. Jesus met the two Marys. He said Greetings to them.
i)        Matthew 28:9. The two Marys:-
1-      Came to Jesus.
2-      Clasped His Feet.
3-      Worshipped Him.
j)        Matthew 28:10. Jesus said to the two Marys:-
1-      Do not be afraid.
2-      Go and tell My brothers to go to Galilee.
3-      In Galilee they will see Me.
(Through this Second one I find The Greatest Ever Miracle – the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ)
---------------
Chris.
The two Marys ran to tell Jesus’ Disciples about the Resurrection of the Lord, on the way the Lord Himself met them. These Marys were simply and joyfully carrying the Message from the Angel of the Lord. On the way the Lord Himself met with them. I would say that this is Divine Intervention. Sometimes the Lord brings Divine Intervention into our lives, something that we did not anticipate and yet clearly is the Lord’s Intervention. At these times of Intervention, just like the two Marys we are to Trust and Obey Him.

The Roman Commander, Observation And Praise!

‘The Roman Commander, Observation And Praise.’
Luke 23:34-47.
a)      The Roman Commander was overseeing the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ, just as he had overseen many crucifixions prior to this.
b)      Luke 23:34. Jesus prayed to the Father for their forgiveness and the soldiers mockingly divided up Jesus’ clothes.
c)       Luke 23:35. The people were watching and their leaders were mocking Him.
d)      Luke 23:36. The soldiers came up and poked fun at Him offering Him wine vinegar.
e)       Luke 23:37-38. The soldiers challenged Jesus as King of the Jews to save Himself because the sign above His Head said that He was King of the Jews.
f)        Luke 23:39. One of the criminals being crucified next to Jesus asked Him if He was the Christ and if He was He should save all three of them being crucified.
g)      Luke 23:40-41. The other criminal spoke out that the first criminal should Fear God because all three were under sentence of death and yet Jesus had done nothing wrong. The other two were punished fairly.
h)      Luke 23:42. The second criminal asked Jesus to remember him when He entered Paradise.
i)        Luke 23:43. Jesus gave Him the assurance.
j)        Luke 23:44. Darkness covered the Earth.
k)      Luke 23:45. The Temple curtain tore from top to bottom, that was miraculous!
l)        Luke 23:46. Jesus cried out that He committed His Life into the Father’s Hands, then He died.
m)    Luke 23:47. The Roman Commander observed everything that had happened and he declared that Jesus Christ was Righteous, He then Praised God.
(Through this QT: The Roman Commander: Observation And Praise I see some of the Amazing Grace and Works of God)
 --------------
‘Light Overcomes Darkness.’
John 1:5.
a)      The Light.
b)      Shines in the darkness.
c)       The darkness.
d)      Does not extinguish the Light.
(Through this QT I am sure that Light Overcomes Darkness)
 --------------
Chris.
The first criminal really had a negative and cynical attitude towards Jesus Christ. He was bitter, challenging Jesus with the word “if”. Sometimes we ask the Lord “why?” or “how long?” I find those two expressions acceptable as pouring out our heart before the Lord, even David the Psalmist did that in the Psalms. “If”, however, is completely incorrect, it is rudely challenging the Lord and True Believers should never do that.

The One Who Calls Us Will Do It!

‘The One Who Calls Us Will Do It.’
1 Thessalonians 5:23-24.
a)      May the God of Peace Himself make us pure.
b)      May we be completely dedicated, belonging only to God.
c)       When our Lord Jesus Christ comes may our entire self be kept safe and without fault.
d)      Our entire self is our:-
1-      Spirit.
2-      Soul.
3-      Body.
e)       We can Trust the One Who calls us to do this for us.
(This QT reveals to me that The One Who Calls Us Will Do It)
 ------------
‘Overcome Violence With Quiet Assurance.’
Matthew 5:39.
a)      Jesus tells us not to stand up against or argue with an evil person.
b)      If a person slaps on the right cheek.
c)       Turn the left cheek to them as well. (Here Jesus was talking to male disciples, male against male, a male should never hit a female or a child in violent anger)
(Through this Second one I learn to Overcome Violence With Quiet Assurance)
------------
Chris.
Our Spirit is an important part of our triune being. It is with and through our spirit that we can become sensitive to God. Before that happens we need to be sure that we are right with God through Jesus Christ and that we have a clean conscience. Being “spiritually sensitive” is not a gift, it should be a part of the Faith life of every True Believer.

Sweet Talk Is Important!

‘Sweet Talk Is Important.’

a)     Do not say bad things about servants to their masters.
b)     They will curse us and we will suffer for it. (Masters are responsible for their servants and not us)
c)      Some people curse their fathers.
d)     Some people do not bless their mothers.
(Through this QT I understand that Sweet Talk Is Important)
----------
‘God Is With Us And For Us.’
a)     Matthew 1:23. The Angel reminded Joseph of the Prophecy of Isaiah in a dream:-
1-     The Virgin will be pregnant.
2-     She will have a son.
3-     They will Name Him Immanuel which means God with us.
b)     Isaiah 7:14. The Prophecy referred to by the Angel.
c)      Romans 8:31. If God is for us then no one can defeat us.
(Through this Second one I am encouraged by the fact that God Is With Me And For Me)
----------
Chris.
Some people do not bless their mothers. This happens in certain cultures where the daughter in law/mother in law relationship is difficult or where the family is so dysfunctional that the mother does not love or protect her daughter. Of course the result for the daughter in law or the daughter can be devastating. She will need much help and healing in her heart from God. I have found that this is a common problem all over the World, for a host of different reasons.

(Through this QT I can see Jesus Christ Rewarded)
---------
‘Keep Living In Freedom In Jesus Christ.’
Colossians 2:8-18.
a)     Colossians 2:8. As we follow Christ let no one deceive us through:-
1-     Philosophy.
2-     Empty deception.
3-     Human traditions.
4-     Worldly ways.
b)     Colossians 2:9. In Christ all the Fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form.
c)      Colossians 2:10. In Christ we have been made complete.
d)     Colossians 2:10. Christ is the Head over all rule and Authority.
e)     Colossians 2:11. In Christ we were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the Circumcision of Christ.
f)       Colossians 2:12. We have been buried with Christ in Baptism.
g)      Colossians 2:12. We were Raised with Christ through Faith in the Working of God Who raised Him from the dead.
h)     Colossians 2:13. We were dead in our trespasses and sins and God made us alive together with Christ. He has forgiven us all of our transgressions.
i)       Colossians 2:14. The debt which we owed, which was hostile to us, is now cancelled. Jesus took it out of the way at the Cross.
j)       Colossians 2:15. God has disarmed the principalities and spiritual rulers. He has made a public display of them having triumphed over them through Christ.
k)     Colossians 2:16. No one should act as a judge over our food or over religious festivals, even Sabbaths.
l)       Colossians 2:17. Religious habits and festivals are only a mere shadow of what is to come. The substance belongs to Christ.
m)   Colossians 2:18. We should not be influenced by hyper spiritual people.
(Through this Second one I am exhorted to Keep Living In Freedom In Jesus Christ)
---------
Chris.
We all had a debt, this debt was hostile to us, if we are True Believers this debt is now cancelled. Jesus Christ has taken the debt out of the way at the Cross. This is exactly why the book of Romans tells True Believers to owe nothing to anyone, to keep out of debt. Sadly many do not heed this advice and get themselves into much bondage because of financial debt. When I read the news I read nearly every day of groups of loan sharks being arrested. Today, I read in the news of a major bank being fined because of its misdemeanours. We need Wisdom as True Believers as to how we live and in deciding which bank to use.

1 Timothy 2:1-4.
a)     1 Timothy 2:1. We should be praying for all people. (As the Lord leads us)
b)     1 Timothy 2:2; Jeremiah 29:7. We should be praying for National Leaders at every level. If we do this we can live a life that is:-
1-     Tranquil.
2-     Quiet.
3-     Godly.
4-     Dignified.
c)      1 Timothy 2:3. This is good and acceptable before God our Saviour.
d)     1 Timothy 2:4. God wants all people to be Saved and come to a knowledge of the Truth.
(This Second one encourages me to have A Prayerful Attitude)
 -------------
Chris.
Rejoice always! Even when we have been through hard times in one way or another, God wants to bring us back to a rejoicing heart. To rejoice is so helpful for us in many ways, physically, emotionally and spiritually. God enables us to rejoice again and again. The joy of the Lord is our strength. When we need to grieve that is basic and right but after the grieving time God wants us to rejoice again.

The Christian Life!

'The Christian Life.' a)  Deuteronomy 7:11. Keep the Word of  God. b)  Deuteronomy  7:12. Listen to the Word of God. c)  Deuteronomy...
