Receiving The Word Of God!

‘Receiving The Word Of God.’
1 Thessalonians 2:13.
a)   It is frequently received by us as we listen to God’s Messengers.
b)   We do not think of it as mere human ideas.
c)   We accept it as the very Word of God.
d)   This Word continues to work in the lives of True Believers.
(Through this QT I desire always to be Receiving The Word Of God)
 -------
‘One Day We Will See And Know Completely.’
1 Corinthians 13:12.
a)   Now we see imperfectly.
b)   It is like seeing distorted images in a mirror.
c)   One day we will see everything with perfect clarity.
d)   All that we know now is partial and incomplete.
e)   One day we will know everything completely.
f)    Just as God knows us now completely.
(This Second one reminds me that One Day I Will See And Know Completely)
 -------
Chris.
It is a good desire always to be receiving the Word of God. So many “Christians” have no desire for the Word of God and this makes them stunted in their Spiritual Growth and Spirituality. True Believers really desire to be receiving the Word of God and therefore, as the Scripture says, they are changing from Glory to Glory.

Leaders Must Listen To Truth!

‘Leaders Must Listen To Truth.’
a)   Proverbs 29:12. If the Leader listens to lies then he or she will be surrounded by and influenced by wicked servants.
b)   Proverbs 20:8. Leaders must be able to distinguish Truth from lies.
c)   Proverbs 25:23. Leaders should not listen to gossiping tongues. The fruit of gossip is anger.
d)   2 Samuel 3:7-11. Sometimes manipulation goes on behind the Leader’s back. The Leader should reject this kind of person and situation.
(This QT reminds me that Leaders Must Listen To Truth, especially Church Leaders)
 ------
‘If We Question God, God May Question Us.’
Job 38:2-3.
a)   We should never question God’s Wisdom with ignorant words.
b)   We should act as Faithful and Mature People.
c)   God may question us.
d)   Then we must answer Him.
(I learn an awesome Truth here in this Second one: If I Question God, God May Question Me)
 ------
Chris.
Sometimes manipulation goes on behind a Leader’s back. Yes, this can even happen in Church to Church Leaders and it is horrible. This is an immature way to handle Church matters and relationships with Leaders. True Believers know that manipulation is sin and have no part in it.

We Should Not Deceive Ourselves!

‘We Should Not Deceive Ourselves.’
1 Corinthians 3:19.
a)    The Wisdom of this World system is folly with God.
b)    It is written in the Word of God.
c)    God catches the Worldly wise people in their craftiness. Job 5:13.
d)    1 Corinthians 1:20. Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the Wisdom of the World system?
(This QT reminds me that I Should Not Deceive Myself)
 ------
‘Mind Your Tongue.’
James 3:6-8.
a)    James 3:6. The tongue is a fire, setting on fire the entire course of life. It is set on fire by hell.
b)    James 3:6. The tongue is a world of unrighteousness.
c)    James 3:6. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body.
d)    James 3:7. Tamed by mankind are:-
1-  Beasts.
2-  Birds.
3-  Reptiles.
4-  Sea creatures.
e)    James 3:8. No human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
(This Second clearly urges me to Mind My Tongue)
 ------
Chris.
God catches the Worldly wise people in their craftiness. It is a sad reality that in our Churches there are some people who are Worldly wise and superficially spiritual. Yes, there is even craftiness in some Churches. Of course the Blessing of God will not be there because God is not pleased by such things.

A Good Example For Church Planters!

‘A Good Example For Church Planters.’
1 Thessalonians 2:6-12.
a)    1 Thessalonians 2:6. Not seekers of human praise.
b)    1 Thessalonians 2:7. Not using or abusing spiritual position.
c)    1 Thessalonians 2:7. Gentle like a nursing mother caring for her children.
d)    1 Thessalonians 2:8. Not only sharing the Gospel but also sharing lives because of Love for the people we serve.
e)    1 Thessalonians 2:9. Using:-
1-  Effort.
2-  Toil.
3-  Hard work.
4-  Hardship.
f)     1 Thessalonians 2:9. Preaching the Gospel whilst also working at a job so as to put no financial burden on the Church being planted.
g)    1 Thessalonians 2:10. God and the Thessalonians were witnesses of the lives of these Church planters:-
1-  Holy.
2-  Just.
3-  Blameless.
h)    1 Thessalonians 2:11. Loving the Church as a father loves his children.
i)      1 Thessalonians 2:12. The Message for the Church, the people called into God’s Kingdom and Glory was to live lives worthy of God. This Message was presented:-
1-  As encouragement.
2-  As comfort.
3-  As an appeal.
(This QT teaches me A Good Example For Church Planters)
------
‘Belief In The Lord Is Important.’
John 9:35-41.
a)    John 9:35. Jesus went to look for the healed blind beggar who had been thrown out by the Pharisees.
b)    John 9:35. When He found him Jesus asked him if he Believed in the Son of Man.
c)    John 9:36. The healed blind man wanted to know Who the Son of Man was so that he could Believe in Him.
d)    John 9:37. Jesus revealed Himself to him.
e)    John 9:38. The healed blind man responded:-
1-  Lord, I Believe.
2-  With Worship.
3-  He knelt down before Jesus.
f)     John 9:39. Jesus explained a part of His Mission to the healed blind man. He said that He has come into the world to exercise judgment so that those who don't see can see and those who see will become blind.
g)    John 9:40. The Pharisees that were around Jesus at that time asked Jesus about their condition. They really thought that they were not blind.
h)    John 9:41. Jesus told them that if they were blind they would not be guilty of sin but because they said that they could see their sin and guilt remained.
(This Second one shows me that Belief In The Lord Is Important)
 ------
Chris.
The healed blind man wanted to know Who the Son of Man was. This indicates a real healing taking place in His Life. We should not glory in miracles but rather in the God Who can perform them. The healed blind man did not just stay in the ‘I am healed’ mode, he really wanted to know the Lord.

Handle Our Feelings Well!

‘Handle Our Feelings Well.’
Proverbs 29:11.
a)    Foolish people show their anger.
b)    A foolish person gives vent to their feelings.
c)    The wise people hold their feelings back.
d)    The wise people think also about afterwards.
e)    The wise people know how to still their feelings.
(This QT reminds me strongly to Handle My Feelings Well)
 -----
‘Rejected Because He Was Healed.’
John 9:26-34.
a)    John 9:26. The Pharisees were continually questioning the blind beggar who was healed by Jesus.
b)    John 9:26. What did He do? How did He open your eyes?
c)    John 9:27. The man had already told them but they did not listen.
d)    John 9:27. He asked them if they wanted to hear about it again and if they wanted to become Disciples of Jesus.
e)    John 9:28. The Pharisees insulted him, telling him that he was merely a Disciple of Jesus but they were disciples of Moses.
f)     John 9:29. The Pharisees knew that God spoke to Moses but they had no idea about Jesus.
g)    John 9:30. The healed man said that it was an incredible situation. The Pharisees did not know where Jesus was from and yet He had opened his eyes.
h)    John 9:31. God does not listen to sinners.
i)      John 9:31. God listens to anyone who is devout and who does His Will.
j)      John 9:32. In all history there had never been a miracle of a person who was born blind and then healed by anyone.
k)    John 9:33. If Jesus was not from God He could not do this.
l)      John 9:34. The Pharisees said to the healed man:-
1-  You were born completely in sin.
2-  How is it you dare to teach us.
3-  Get out.
(Through this Second one I find a man Rejected Because He Was Healed)
 -----
Chris.
God does not listen to sinners. The only Prayer of sinners that God listens to is the Prayer for forgiveness of sins. It is so important that all people can understand this. Salvation through Grace begins as human experience through the forgiveness of our sins. Without forgiveness of sins there is no Salvation.

I Do Know One Thing!

‘I Do Know One Thing.’
John 9:17-25.
a)    John 9:17. The blind man who was healed said about Jesus Christ that He was a Prophet.
b)   John 9:18. The Jews did not believe the blind man who was healed so they sent for his parents.
c)    John 9:19-20. The Jews questioned the parents and they confirmed that he was born blind.
d)   John 9:21-23. The parents were filled with fear of the Jewish religious leaders so they told them to ask the son directly. Anyone who confessed that Jesus was the Christ would be excommunicated from the Synagogue.
e)    John 9:24. Again the Jewish religious leaders intensively questioned the blind man who was healed.
f)    John 9:25. The reply of the blind man who was healed:-
1-I do not know if the man who healed me is a sinner or not.
2-I do know one thing.
3-I was blind.
4-Now I can see.
(Through this QT: I Do Know One Thing, I can see the fear that religious leaders can create in people’s hearts. This is universal, and covers all religions including Christianity. It is something that the Church should deal with too)
 ------
‘We Should Not Cause Anyone To Stumble.’
Matthew 18:6.
a)    These are the Words of Jesus Christ.
b)   If anyone causes one of the little ones who believe in Him to stumble.
c)    It would be better for them to have a heavy mill stone hung around their neck.
d)   Then to be drowned in the sea.
e)    Than to face the Lord’s Judgment.
(This Second one: We Should Not Cause Anyone To Stumble, makes me think about how much does the local Church really care for their Sunday School? If they did, they would train their Teachers well)
 ------
Chris.
We should not cause anyone to stumble. This is something that most Churches are notorious for, causing people to stumble. Please note: I do not say all, but I say most. So many good people have left Churches because they have been hurt, offended, abused or incorrectly thrust into responsibilities that they could not handle. We should remember this Teaching of Jesus Christ. We should not cause anyone to stumble.

We Should Not Wear The Cloak Of Covetousness!

‘We Should Not Wear The Cloak Of Covetousness.’
a)    1 Thessalonians 2:5. Apostle Paul was never covetous.
b)   Colossians 3:5. We should put covetousness in our lives to death.
c)    Ephesians 5:5. Covetous people have no inheritance in the Kingdom of God.
d)   Hebrews 13:5. Our behaviour should not be covetous.
e)    1 Timothy 6:10. Covetousness can cause us to err from the Faith and drown ourselves with many sorrows.
f)    Deuteronomy 5:21. We should not covet anything that belongs to our neighbour.
(This QT reminds me that I Should Not Wear The Cloak Of Covetousness)
 ------
‘Lord Of All.’
Luke 6:5.
a)    Jesus said to the Pharisees and all the hearers.
b)   The Son of Man.
c)    Is Lord of all – including the Sabbath.
(This Second one shows me that Jesus Christ is Lord Of All)
 ------
Chris.
Some people drown themselves in many sorrows because of the way that they live. This includes “Christian” people. To live a life of jealousy, bitterness and covetousness will always eventually lead to emotional and spiritual drowning. Let us live, as True Believers, the life that Glorifies the Lord.

Blameless People Need Upright Friends!

‘Blameless People Need Upright Friends.’
Proverbs 29:10.
a)    Bloodthirsty people hate blameless people.
b)   Upright people.
c)    Seek the well being of blameless people.
(Through this QT it is clear to me that Blameless People Need Upright Friends)
 -----
‘Jesus Faced Religious Opposition.’
John 9:14-16.
a)    John 9:14. It was the Sabbath when Jesus:-
1- Made the clay.
2- Healed the blind beggar.
3- Opened his eyes.
b)   John 9:15. The Pharisees asked the healed man again how he received his sight. (They were looking to accuse Jesus)
c)    John 9:15. The recovered man said:-
1- Jesus put clay on my eyes.
2- I washed.
3- Now I see.
4- (The first and second points here were forbidden on the Sabbath)
d)   John 9:16. The Pharisees were divided.
e)    John 9:16. Some of the Pharisees said that Jesus was not from God because He did not keep the Sabbath.
f)    John 9:16. Other Pharisees asked how a sinner could do such signs.
(Through this Second one we know that Jesus Faced Religious Opposition and we will too sometimes as True Believers)
 -----
Chris.
Friends are valuable and important people for all of us. There are so many facets of healthy friendship. We can enjoy fun times together, we can go and eat together and we can relax in the presence of friends. We need friends too to share our deep hearts with sometimes and at other times we need the support of good friends. Let us learn to maintain our good friendships.

The Christian Life!

'The Christian Life.' a)  Deuteronomy 7:11. Keep the Word of  God. b)  Deuteronomy  7:12. Listen to the Word of God. c)  Deuteronomy...
